I played this game a ton back in 2017, but am just now getting back into it. No naming names, but I feel like BB always had a problem with the charisma of the people streaming it, and you are 100 times more fun to listen to. Effin' great content, bro!
You should definitely watch DeducterSC. He is basically fed up with BB but we all just want him streaming run after run lol. This channel is a nice find! I'll try to watch one of these days!
I gotta say, as someone who is learning the game I really appreciate you doing a run without cheese. I really want to learn the game before I start bending the rules to win.
That's a great approach. And the truth is, if you do eventually want to use cheese, knowing how to beat the game straight-up makes it even more effective. Whereas, if one starts with cheese, one becomes reliant on it.
Hate to burst your bubble but I never uploaded the actual Mono fight. Sorry dude! Still a great run though. I'm gonna do another one of these with peasant militia probably.
@@wkatz0 Haha well being a fan of your BB youtube videos is not an easy life, for quite some time we had to make do with one episode Gladiators and 2 episodes getting raider gear 😀 so I'm just glad to see more content. Keep it up!
@@jbandhugo Thanks, dude! I do stream on Twitch somewhat regularly, it's not a big stretch to post those to YT. I just need to clamp down on the innappropriate comments.
Hello. Was watching you today on twitch, after a recommendation from twitch. I love battle brothers but it's been rare to find a cool streamer to watch. Thanks for the playthrough. I always sucked at the game, but love it all the same. Cool series. Will watch it from the beginning to catch up on twitch later on.
Great content! I was hoping you would do a longer play after the exceptional job you did in the raider gear in 15 days videos. Love your explanations as you go and extra points for style.
Man I love your content, you play good enough that I learn and you play fast enough/talk well enough that I have fun Very rare combination for bb content keep it up Will you name a bro after me or is it too controversial?
@@adolfhipsteryolocaust3443 oh also thanks for the kind words! I also share your sentiment, I appreciate the Tactical Genius of some of these guys but super slow methodical play doesn't quite hold my attention the same way
This is nuts. I intend to watch in full, I've abandoned Battle Brothers for a while and at 150 hours experience, by day 120 I'm barely even dealing with noble fights. The mechanics in game for some reason just aren't clicking with me as far as how I fail to find a strategic understanding of how to reliably create victories and maneuever around the various encounters. I've learned about the meta a bit and builds from the community but things like managing fatigue, using formations, and other tactics.... I feel like a dingbat as far as just not understanding how to strategize further than what is told to me by veterans.
I highly suggest you watch my "12 guys in raider gear by day 15" video. It'll show you exactly how to have a strong, repeatable first 15 days of the game! Very heavily explained.
21:52 - i'm just going to repeat myself here Well, nine lives rarely triggers on the first sustained hit. So against real attacks that do real damage, it is at worst +15 melee def and +50 hp (how much would be required to survive Another Hit) on a junk bro - or usually roughly in the range of +100% mDef and +75% hp On a really good bro, it is +15 mDef, which usually means taking attacks from 15-35% success rate (roughly 1 in 7 to roughly 1 in 3) down to 5-20% success rate (1 in 20 to 1 in 5) -- or a 75-300% increase in dodge chance. imagine choosing +25% hp (0.5 more survivable hits at 100 hp, divided by the nimble percentage) over that. Now imagine your bro had less than 100 base hp.. and no nimble ... Somewhere around the time just before Blazing Deserts, it used to simply prevent the killing blow. It was an OK perk. After that DLC, it cleared all DoTs and gave +15 def/resolve, and became fantastic. Oh, and yes - Fast Adaptation is a crazy good perk. Especially on two-handed weapons, even though some people argue that it has "less" value due to less strikes. The problem with that train of thought is that missing two attacks on a two-handed weapon is extremely bad, three practically loses you the fight and four is being useless the entire fight. With Fast Adaptation, you usually hit the second or third swing, which means that you are at worst only doing poorly instead of straight-up losing.
9L is a wildly underrated perk. I think it even has a place on Fatigue Neutral builds, especially if said brother is recruited early, before heavy armor is available.
@@Beorn_ yeahhhhh I'm not a huge fan of that origin. You sacrificed your guys going confident in order to have these like crazy late game bros, but playing super late doesn't really appeal to me
Yeah it's a mod called "extended inventory" Without it you have to hit "C" to pull up the character screen and then right-click on the knife to get it out.
That's pretty much it. The relevant benchmark is, "can you get to a team that beats 7 thugs?" Because that's what a Day 1 Follow the Tracks contract is. For most origins, with their starting gold, that's a "yes." The ones that cannot reliably do it are: Lone Wolf, Manhunters, Oathtakers, precisely because they don't start with the funds.
Does Colossus give you a percentage of HP once when you take it, or it ALWAYS adds a percentage of HP? I thought it gets updated. For example, I have a bro that has 60 HP, take Colossus, get a bro with 60+15=75. Then I get 3 rolls, 4 points each, total 12 points into hp. Do I get 60 started + 15 colo + 10 leveled = 85, or do I get (60 start + 12 levelup)*1,25=90?
@podops-e8v it always adds 25%. So if you take a hit point roll of four on a level up, after taking colossus, it adds five. This is also relevant for veteran levels, if you're at like 98, then taking that plus one with Colossus will bump you up to 100.
Great to have you back, I agree with others here that you are really good at this. 18:45 "I believe in you, oooh I DON'T believe in you ...aaarrrrrhhh" had me laughing loudly. Hilarious! One thing, and you have probably answered this elsewhere, is it possible for you to record/upload in a higher resolution? This 720p on my TV is really straining my aging eyes.
Ah, sorry. It's a Twitch export, and Twitch limits me to 720p unless I become an affiliate, which I don't plan on doing. Glad you like the commentary lmao
