Nice quiet venue but plot your departure at high tide. Be alert of the reefs if crab hunting, especially on the springs sand movement covers the hidden mud and can be waist deep close to the reefs... I'm 77 and got caught out with the mud. Not for the faint hearted. Best at Dunster beach, Blue Anchor sea wall or Doniford beach. All turn up trumps. 🤔😎

Hi pat , i normaly do show the release of the better fish but at that mark you cant just throw them back in i have to walk around the corner over some boulders and on a platform of rocks where the water is deep enough to hold a fish and let them catch there breath for safe return , not so easy to film and deal with a fish of that size . I might get a headband for the go pros and see if that will work. Thanks mate take care

    • @abdul-hadidadkhah1459

Despite the legal rule to keep 2, the big breeders should always go back in my book. Apart from he fact that really big bass, don't taste as good anyway, and the relentless commercial fishing pressure on Bass, its way better for the species and our continued fishing, that we always return breeders.@@djsimonrossprice9400

Just looking into beach fishing and thinking about moving to Norfolk. Interesting how compared to carp fishing unhooking mats etc and fish care with Bass seems pretty unimportant apart from releasing them. Next observation do you return all Bass or just the big ones and keep the smaller ones for the kitchen, cheers.

Appreciate the reply Tony but don’t go to any expense on my account. I fish myself but don’t understand the laws on bass where they let you take the breeding fish which obviously will be the larger fish and fish that size I reckon will generally be female! I believe the law should be changed that no fish over a certain size maybe around 45 cm probably a breeding fish can be kept and bring it down to fish between say 36-42 a decent schoolie which there are a lot more of for the table .Anyhow lucky man to get two Bass of that quality in the same session! Looking forward to your next instalment 👍🎣

I was going to say that hanging a Bass on the fish grip isn't the best way to weigh a fish you plan to return. Use a sling or even a wet bag.
Then I noticed the Bass had swam back behind your seat box at the end of video. Probably just having a nap before you returned it again.

    • @SOMERSETBEACHFISHINGtony

I love your humor thanks for the comment , firstly the bass behind the box was a 4.5lb one that didnt make it , along with a 5lb codling for the table , i normaly do carry a sling for handling the big girls , i wasnt expecting those i must say , i will be better prepared just in case , thanks for watching and take care
