Thanks Jan! I followed through with the process and installed the timer. My zoom timer is with a black background for some reason. Is there a way to make it white? Secondly, when the timer goes on, the chat gets completely hidden. Any solutions to these queries pls?

You already have a small timer that is visible in each Breakout Room in the top right corner when you set a time to close Breakout Rooms, but you could also share this timer by sharing the timer screen to Breakout Rooms (while everyone is in the Breakout Rooms, click share screen, choose the timer and check the box "Share Screen to Breakout Rooms". Does that help?
they need to consider the following. what if the speaker is sharing also, Do a lots of sharing presentation. of course the sharing timer will end. they should at least make the timer set to a specific speaker, so that when his turn to speak, the timer will automatically overlay on his videos (top or bottom, left or right side what ever zoom will place the timer) or the timer will float on his video automatically. of course the timer will expand a little and flashing when its near to end his speech. speaking of the timer overlay or float to speaker videos, it should be visible to all participants.
Hi Jan, this is really useful. Thanks! I have a question, when Timer is "Shared", it occupies the screen. AND if there are slides that you intend to display, the Timer blocks in the center. Is there anyway you can minimize it or put at a corner? I can only resize but it remains in the middle of the screen, do you have any idea how to do this?
@@MarthaaElizabeth Hi Martha, I ended up having to move the timer app away from the shared screen so it wouldn’t block participants view of what I’m sharing. Haven’t figured out any other way! Hope this helps!

If you are recording to the cloud, you can change what should be recorded in each file. That way you can get a recording that doesn't include the shared screen
Hi Jan, thanks for the useful video. We have a meditation group meeting on Zoom that has a 20-minute period of silent sitting. Two questions: 1) Can the alert sound happen at the beginning and end of the time period? 2)Is there a way to change the sound of the alert so that it sounds more like a meditation gong? If 1) and 2) are not possible on the free Zoom timer, can you recommend another app or another solution? Okay, that is three questions :-)
Hey Chris, with this app there are not many options currently. This might change one the future, so as a workaround I recommend having a real chime and unmuting yourself or playing a sound effect manually when the timer is done. If you're on a Mac and are open to learning a new software, I actually prefer adding timers (that you can customize with look, colours and sounds) with Ecamm Live: www.jankeck.com/ecamm
Shame I spend so much on zoom and the apps don’t even appear on my iPad at all and when I log in on my phone I can see the apps but says it’s not supported on mobile devices.
Its cool for free. But the Blue Sky app appears as if it a participant in it's own window. That makes it always visible even when people are sharing their screens for other purposes. This free one requires the Zoom host to be the only one sharing their screen to have the timer visible
This the feature Zoom could released after so many years? A company that is worth millions of dollars, really?? The app only works if you want a personal timer, for anything else its complicated and it does not work well. Don´t get me wrong, The video is great, it´s the app that really I dont think is good

I don't think that is possible to automate with the Zoom Timer. You would have to start them manually.
Can we have both timer showing participants and screen share?

This looks so cool, however my Chromebook won't allow me to install it. Says the Chrome OS won't let it. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately, with a Chromebook you are not using the Zoom Client, but their web app and the functionality is very limited

If you use something like Ecamm Live you can add timers in all shapes and sizes.

Do you mean the meeting time with a free account? No, it just is a timer you display to your participants or yourself
