This was a great review. I’ve watched a few as I’m trying to select between these two cameras and it’s really tough! I think ultimately deciding based on your needs, as you mentioned, is the key. I will say from looking at your footage with the vlog testing, I think the M50 had better stabilization but maybe I’m wrong? Anyways, I think based on the size and simplicity, the Sony is perfect for me. Thank you so much

Omg every time I think I’ve decided between these I get stuck again! They both sound amazing. I used to be a portrait photographer and I bought my Canon 1ds II 20 years ago, so that’s what I’m use to… but it’s size and current limitations mean I’m basically starting from scratch coz it had no video.

One question I had was about the noise of the zoom in the sony. I saw someone else mention it as a pitfall. Does an external mic solve that problem?
I'd go M50 if I were you. Sounds like you have dslr experience and know about lenses. If you desire that much flexibility and control, go M50 and just upscale to 4k. Thanks for watching.

Zv-1 because size. It's simply more practical. For vlogging a GoPro, insta360 OneR, Insta 360 go2, Osmo Action or a Osmo Pocket can do the trick. The size and convenience is key for me and the ZV1 give a better image, a more professional look, a better low light, etc. Traveling with a ILC vs a pocket camera is very different, you can carry two ZV1 and a RX100vii and uses less room than a Canon M50 and a pair of lenses.
Is it too difficult or cumbersome to use the ZV1 for photography? I have a RX100 and i use the lens ring a lot

TYSM For this! 🤗 I've been binge watching this type of content, Sony Zv1 vs Canon M50 specifically and your video is so highly produced and informational, It helped me so much to choose! I'm planning to buy my first camera this Christmas but I'm torn between the two because I've been using my phone to vlog for more that 2 years and boy that was a handful.
My fist choice is the M50 because of the interchangeable lenses and I don't think I'll be able to upgrade in a long time after buying that. It's a great camera for vlogging and photography but the ZV1 keeps crossing my mind because of how compact and easy it is to use plus it has great auto focus. But overall I take vlogs and a lot of photography so I'd go for the M50.
But last question, but do you think it's worth waiting for the new M50 and get the ZV1 instead or just get the M50 this Christmas as it's already a great camera? 😅

Everybody hates flip up screens, but I wish ZV1 screen flipped up instead of barn dooring out to the side which makes me feel stupid when shooting in public!

Great review! I am actually leaning towards the Canon M50. I thought the footage was super nice in your review and I need good photos. I purchased the Sony but right away there were a few things I didn’t like. What about battery life on both cameras? I know for the Sony it isn’t great. Not sure about the Canon M50 though.
Man you actually picked out the thing I most wish I tested side by side! BATTERY LIFE!! Come on dom... lol. But in day to day use I'd say this... the ZV1 battery life is trash. I have 4 batteries just to get through a day of shooting with it. The m50 is better, although I still need 2-3 batteries if I'm going to Disneyland or something all day. But head to head it's no contest, m50 wins for battery life.
I'm really glad you brought up the photography features because I want a camera that can take amazing print worthy photos of my kids and our vacations.
I do love the audio in the zv1
But I love the photography of the m50.
I do a lot of vlogs while moving capturing my kids in motion and us on the go. I also love taking pictures

Hey! So I photography is that important to you I’d def go the m50. Simply put, the sensor is superior and you will want variation in lens selection as time goes on. If you’re stuck in the 24-70 range, eventually you’re going to want to upgrade and the zv1 will end up holding you back. Good luck!
@@DominicPhillip I think my biggest reserve is how much more I'll end up paying for lenses. What lens would you recommend for portrait pictures and vlogging? So I can start off with 1 or 2 essential lenses. Have you checked put the extra lense for the Sony zv1 will it make a difference in photography?
For sure. Lenses are always the largest expense. It sounds to me like the m50 will be better for you long term. If you go that route, I’d recommend a good wide prime lens like the one from sigma, and a decent 24-70 2.8 zoom for everyday carry. You can do a lot with those two. The kit lens sucks, but it’s enough to get you started if you can swing the extra $100.

I watched another 1 of your videos where I believe you talked about wireless streaming so I wasn’t sure if that can be done with these?.. this video was very informative
Hi Lizz, congrats on looking for your first camera! Honestly these are both great options. They both can do live streaming, and the mark ii can go wireless. However, as a beginner I’d probably go with the zv1. Especially if you’re doing beauty tutorials and reviews. This camera is basically made for that. It can also live stream, you will just need a hdmi cable, but imo I like that better than wireless anyway because it’s more reliable. If you have any trouble or questions getting setup hit me up anytime. I’d love to help ✌🏽💯
I agree with your assessment and think it depends on your needs. For me, I'm going with the Mark ii because I needed an all around camera for pictures and video. The availability to change lenses was a deciding factor as well. A camera with 1080 was acceptable as I can still take pictures for articles and blogs that are quality enough. Hey! I'm using the Movo VXR10. It's just a cheap little $40 mic, but it does increase the size of the overall package of the m50. Hope this helps

I’ve been leaning towards the ZV-1 since it was announced just based on the size, the built in NDs and the internal mic’s.
But the m50 Mark ii seems to be super easy to use. I did have an SL2 awhile back but found the size to be an issue.

It's definitely the more convenient option. To be honest, with both cameras sitting on my desk, I tend to pick up the Zv1 a lot more. ND's, audio, able to put it in my pocket and 4k? I just can't pass it up.
Also, I have the wide angle now. It’s definitely helpful, but I am weary of the extra weight on the end of the lens causing issues long term with power off and ons.

Hey Dom. Thanks so much for this review, bro! It sounds like the biggest advantage the M50 has over the ZV1 is the ability to switch lenses and take pics. It looks like you also said the battery life is slightly better on the M50. Well, my plan, if I choose to get one of them, is to use it almost exclusively as a tripod/indoor vlogging cam. And with the ZV-E10 coming out in a few weeks, it sounds like livestreaming is easier than the ZV1 predecessor, you can change lenses on the E10, and battery life shouldn't be an issue on the E10 since it will likely be plugged in inside. So my setup would either be both the E10 for indoor and the DJI 2 for outdoor, OR just the Canon 90D for both indoor and outdoor. What do you think? I'm trying to keep the initial total cost as far under about $1300 as possible.
Hey 👋🏽…. So you’re right, the zve-10 on a tripod plugged in is probably the perfect live stream/vlogging camera out right now. I’d go that way for sure. But I’d also just save my money and get the lens you need to make the e10 your outdoor camera too. It’s pretty versatile overall. Cheers

@@KillingPepperonies Rolling shutter is really apparent if you're moving the camera quickly from left to right (panning) and sometimes when tracking. If you're not doing that movement often, I don't think it's going to be as annoying as one may think.

Which would you recommend to use as a webcam? Currently I am using a Logitech Brio as my webcam but I want something that is going to look amazing when I record videos as well as use it for Zoom meetings.
Hey Sujal, yes this will definitely look significantly better than the Logitech. If you want truly amazing results, you need to upgrade the kit lens, but either way you’ll be happy
I have both cameras. It's ideal to have both, I think, although I've been more into photography so haven't pulled out the ZV-1 much of late, but am going to start using it more. The ZV-1 is a great B camera, and it's the way to go for the 4K or the beginner vlogger indoor or outdoors. And I've been pleasantly surprised with it for photos at times, too!!
That's awesome, glad you're enjoying your gear! You may want to check out the Sony ZVE10. That's also a fantastic option that may kill 2 birds with one stone.

Here's what I did: I recently got the M6 MKII, as I was just smitten with the footage and photos I was seeing in the numerous videos I watched about it. I figured, it would be an upgrade from the M50, and I could share the same lenses and keep with the Canon colors (which I love). The M6 MKII has the un-cropped 4K, and while it is softer because it's upscaled, I just can't get over how beautiful and cinematic the footage is even when compared to higher end cameras. Once I master working with these, then I'll make that move up.
Your video helped me make the choice to get a ZV-1.
I will state, the only things I dislike is it is not good for photography and while the internal mic is very good, I ended up getting a small saramonic 3.5mm mic for $25. Also the Ulanzi lense kit ($50). The macro lense is limited, but the wide angle is great.
Hey! Thanks for watching. I too had the wide angle and enjoyed it. Beware though…. Keeping it on all the time and turning the camera on and off a lot led to some issues with the zoom motor on my Zv1. I think it’s because that lens is heavy and the motors weren’t intended for that much weight. Just fyi

For all of those I’d go M50. The Sony can do all of those as well, but i think it may fall short when it comes to product photography. The lens limitation may show it’s head there and the M50 gives you flexibility. Hope that helps!

Get a Crane M2 for the Sony- not really much bigger than the Sony Bluetooth grip, and that works great with the stabilisation on lens only. Makes a great Vlogging set up.
That's true, I'm a big fan of gimbals... but many people are intimidated by them. It's also another battery and gear to carry around.
The M50 is a modular camera. Swapping out lenses based on conditions the camera shoots in is better overall. But the cv-1 has features and video quality that's outstanding for a camera of its size. But I still would choose the M50 because of its versatility. IDK! It's a hard choice because both these cameras are great cameras.

I attempted to test out the canon at Best Buy unfortunately the display was not on but that thing was HEAVY!
Also it depends on what lens is mounted to it. The kit lens isn't that bad, but some of the EF-M zooms are really front heavy. It's definitely not a pocketable camera.

Canon M50 mark II is preferred as 4k slow Mo and product placement do not offset lens flexibility. For audio either one needs an accessory.
If you're willing to spend money on glass, but dollar for dollar it's hard to beat the Zv-1.
Am looking for self taping. Sounds like the ZV1 is the way to go. I need the extra facial recognition. Plus I want a good remote that zooms. The remote for the M50 will only operate shutter release.
For your needs the Zv1 is definitely the better option. You should also check out the zve10. Cheers

You’re actually right. After shooting more I’ve actually changed my mind a bit about the m50 audio. It’s not as good as the zv1, but it’s still good!
My plan is to introduce myself to Canon as I've been with Nikon photography since starting. I'm used to having interchangeable lenses.

Hi! So ASMR videos it’s really all about the mic and autofocus being accurate on whatever you’re shooting. I’d actually recommend the zve10 for camera. The mics are really good (still may want an external mic for ASMR) and the autofocus is great. Runs $699 body only

Hey Richard, appreciate the view and sub! Ok so the 30 min record limit is a tax/embargo issue not a hardware issue from what I understand. A lot of cameras have this limit. Basically when it hits 30 mins it just stops recording. Settings remain the same so you just have to hit record again and start a new clip. It is a pain, especially if you’re recording long form like a podcast or something. I have to set an alarm on my phone to remind me.
But you hit it dead on the head, it’s really a question of simplicity or flexibility! I have a zv1 in my back at all times simply because it’s easy and convenient. But anything heavy duty and it gets passed by. If it were me, and my only camera, I’d go m50. Hope this helps!
Also, if you don’t live stream, get the original. Not worth the extra money for the mark ii.
@@DominicPhillip - Thanks for the reply. I was set on the m50 then a few days back the Z got me again. Lol. I plan on doing mostly talking head with some vlog type stuff. Plus like simple and easy and nice vid quality. I Like the m50 lense change incase do travel stuff- the wide angle 11-22 and sigma 16 are banging lenses even considering the sony a6100 as it can do a lot and lens change. Decisions decisions. Hey Richard, so I'm literally making a video about the a6100 right now. Should be done this week. It's a really under appreciated camera and I still think it's very good. Does have some weaknesses, but stay tuned for that video. I too think the xv2 is going to drop this year, I just don't know when. The $50 price drop of the zv1 recently is telling though.
@@DominicPhillip - Just walked out of Best buy, got the M50 so I found it funny when I saw your post. All the a6100 are sold out. You can't even order them. Looked at that one the zv1 and others. M50 more versatile. Feel I'll get bored with the one lense Z. Plus I feel the 2 may come out so I rathrr wait if anything. Plus I can upgrade the canon m50 for a m6 mark 2, etc., in time if want 4K. So going to start humble and see where it goes. Thanks for your input and feedBack.

Hey M.E, thanks for watching and the kind words. If you want to do portrait work don't go with the ZV1. The sensor is too limiting for paid photo work. I'd actually take a good look at the ZVE-10. I think that may be able to do everything you want, and it's starting at $698 body only. You'll have to save for a lens, but that camera can pretty much nail what you want to do. Cheers

I bought a zv-1 and i think it is great for b-roll or video in general. For vlogging the lens choice of Sony is far from ideal additionally tbe stabilization in general is not very good. I love the features like product mode and build nd filter.

i have been deciding between the two, i am travelling a little more and want a camera i can take great photos of my adventures but also videos. I like how small the zv 1 is but would you more recommend m50 for me?
I like the Sony Zv1 for travel. I think the size, compact nature, and autofocus will suite you better on the road.
Did you end up re-purchasing the ZV-1? I remember you saying you had sold it in a previous video. I'm strongly considering purchasing it because I want to get into the Sony ecosystem and can't find the A6100 anywhere at the moment
Yea, I've actually purchased a few Zv-1's now. lol They're the perfect little pocket camera and they're so convenient to everyday carry. Shoot me an email though, I have an A6100 that I'm using for some review videos, but I'm going to sell it off when I'm done. It's flawless :)

I want to love the zv1 but i record outside and when its sunny the white is too outblown. On the m50 atleast it levels it down so i dont look bright. I have the zv1 in intelligent auto do you know how i can fix this.
Get out of auto for sure. And maybe throw on an ND filter in addition to the built in ND's. Keep your shutter to twice over frame rate and keep your ISO down to 100. That should get you exposed correctly. The ZV1 will prioritize face for exposure, so you may have to go manual
Would you have the ND filter always on when filming outdoors? Trying to think of a reason why people wouldn't use it
I would, but they’re kind of a pain. You have to constantly monitor your lighting and as the lighting changes you have to adjust the nd strengths, your settings, or switch the nd out completely. It’s pretty inconvenient but just part of the game. Some people just don’t care about smoothness of their video though, so it’s a lot easier to just crank your shutter up

Great question, so I like shooting at 24fps most of the time. Because of that, I like to keep my shutter at a steady 1/50 and adjust my aperture, NDs, and ISO accordingly. I have some variable NDs that help with quickly being able to control the light, and I also have sets up ND’s that I’ll bring out if I’m doing more cinematic stuff like weddings. That way I can throw on a 4 stop or a 6 stop depending on how bright is is outside. Essentially I’ll do everything I can to keep it at 24fps and 1/50 while being able to shoot wide open at 2.8 or 1.4. It’s a lot of extra effort, but it 100% shows in the results.

What you're clearly saying is that the sony is 4k video winner but lacks in terms of versatility in comparison with the canon overall and in a particular way for photos (in canon you can mount many kind of lenses with proper adapter).
So, if you're more interested in 4k video you should take the sony, but if you have to choose your unique device, you should go definitely for canon for the overall photos, HD videos and general versatility also in the video section.

I am a beginner in photography and I am looking for a mirrorless camera solely for photography. Can you please let me know which camera - Sony ZV E10 or Canon M50 Mark ii is better for photography including low light performance? Or are both cameras equally good as far as photography is concerned?
If it’s just photography, I’d go m50 mark 1 or even some of the fujis. The e10 doesn’t have an evf so I don’t love shooting photos on it tbh.

@@ayushp5323 they’re pretty close tbh. I like canon colors a little better and that sensor is newer. I would make you decision based on the cost of lenses and availability between those two. Sony has good lenses already available.
Huh... So, it looks like most reviews go kind of like this:
Cannon M50- it ticks the boxes for a vlogging camera, but doesn't do anything really well, and will be dated quickly (useless 4K)
Zv1- Does everything better than the M50 but people still tend to pick the M50 over the Zv1. I wonder if this is just a Cannon fanboy thing (my first digital camera was a cannon, but then every one since then till recently has been a Nikon, and I prefer Nikon for photography, digital and film).
Why am I looking now? I love my Nikon D7100 for photography, I don't see a reason to upgrade it for that (and I have a good selection of lenses that I like). It's marginal for video. I picked up cheap used Sony a5000 and a5100 I really like the form factor for video (for some reason my video rig has to at least start much smaller than the d7100, but I'm willing to carry a monster D7100 + Tamron 18-400 to get pics, just not video), I like the video, but they overheat. Interestingly all the cameras I own currently have the same DX sensor.
What I want- To mostly replace all 3 camera bodies (and probably sell the nikon and a5000) with one smaller one (a6100/6400/6600/Zv-e10) that will satisfy both my video and picture needs, only pack the new one if I'm going somewhere. Zv-e10 is now out of the running that its been out for long enough for some decent reviews- it will not do the photo end of things and everything that was good about the Zv1 is messed up in the Zv-e10. The a6600 has everything that I want but the price is prohibitive and there just isn't the lens selection that I'm used to for the Nikon at a similar price. The a6400 gets the price down to something reasonable but further limits lens selection by not having in body stabilization (a lot of the better reasonably priced e mount lenses don't have OSS). I haven't decided what I think of the a6100, it's just hard going with something that old when the 6400 just doesn't tick all the boxes and the a6100 less so.
So right now, the Zv-1 will do 90% of my video needs, and non of my photo, a6400 will do 90% of my video, maybe 25% of my photo, maybe more if I can find a good, longer zoom for it that isn't crazy $$$. I don't see any way that I sell off my nikon with what is out there. Right now it looks like I get another sony for video, either the a6400 or zv1, I keep the d7100 for photos and the a5100 as a secondary video camera, streaming/zoom and other "tinkering" and debate if the a5000 is worth more to me than the $100some that I'd get for selling it. So essentially I end up with more cameras sitting around, not less.
I'm wondering if I need to look at Panasonic, or the most recent Nikon D5xxx or D3xxx (to get the smaller video setup and at least get to use my selection of dx nikon lenses).
Wow I love your passion for cameras and gear! Hit me up anytime. Ok here’s my suggestion, definitely try to consolidate your gear to one brand. That way you can invest in glass, and maybe you have a body now that can do 90% of what you want, but a new one drops soon that can do everything you want! In that case it’s easy to just sell of that body, maybe lose a couple hundred bucks max and upgrade. But having multiple systems with multiple different lens setups just ends up being bloated and a waste of money. I’ve don’t the Sony + canon dance before and I ended up losing a lot of money because I wasn’t committed to one. Focus on the lenses you absolutely need, and the. Work your body choice out from there. From the sounds of it, the Zve-10 may be a good option to get you going, and then later on sell if off if you want to upgrade. The big upside to that camera is it’s already cheap at $700. You’ll be able to sell it off in a couple years and probably get $500 out of it still. Hope this helps
@@DominicPhillip I've been running this around in my head quite a bit the last 2 days, and it turns out that a friend of mine that got his first Nikon because of me just got into the sony world without me knowing, got a a7C and a 24-70mm f/2.8 G lens which I played with last night (the G lens on my z5100 works incredibly but is also crazy disprpoportioned, it's like 3x the camera body in size and weight). His rig is very similar in size and weight to my D7100 + Tamron 18-400. I'm not willing to do that for video.
I ran across some IBIS comparison videos between the a6400 and the a6600 and a7xxx camera bodies and and neither they or I watching the videos could see a real advantage to it for video. I don't car about it for photography, so that's not such a big thing now, so going A6600 only gets me size and extra cost over the A6400, supposedly the 6400 is still good on smaller gimbals, the 6600 is sort of in the middle of the range and really needs a larger one. Going with an a7C gets me more size, weight and cost and more expensive lenses. All use the same processor and menus, same new sony better color, all shoot 6K video and down sample it, all fix my overheating issues.
So I think I'm at a6400 and pick up a Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 and I think I have my 90% or more of my video covered (and if I want more compact then I can put a kit 16-50 on it or my Sigma Art 19 f/2.8 which I've been using for video on the a5100). I think this will cover MUCH more of my photography than I originally thought, it will give me a walking around lens that has most of the capabilities of all but one of my shorter and medium length lenses on my Nikon (basically all but 2, maybe 3 of my Nikon lenses), pretty much everything but wildlife photography, where I used the superzoom. I think I walk around with that a6400/tamron combo for a while and decide if I'm willing to give up the D7100 and if I need a superzoom to do it, and if not maybe get a gimbal and other toys for the a6400. Sell my D40x, my a5000, keep the a5100 as a backup/second angle/webcam... and try to get a to a place where I feel comfortable getting rid of the D7100 and the rest of my f-mount lenses (I actually sold off about half of them a year or so ago when I figured out that I had a ton of overlap and I never used some of my nicer $$$ lenses).
Interstingly I think that the Sv1 would be my second choice, it would do most of what the z6400/tamron combination does in a smaller package, but doesn't give me interchangeable lenses or work with what I already have. The Sve10 is still a no go, sony compramized that too much, lost the advantages of the Sv1, and the interchangeable lenses just add cost and bulk to it.

Hey! Great questions. So my main question for you is do you want to shoot 4K or 1080p? If it’s 4K than go zv1 for sure. If you’re good in 1080p than the m50 is a great option still. But as far as losing money goes I wouldn’t say one will hold its value better than the other. Buy used for sure, and try to sell before the next generation drops. That will save you some money
I’d also make sure you don’t want automatic detection of vertical shooting for tik tok. It’s kind of a cool feature to have and saves time.

I don't know that it's good for what you want to do because of the lens size and price. I still think you're best option may be a used zv1. For fast, convenient social media content that would probably be more useful than the ZVE-10. Just my two cents :)

A review by a purchaser on Amazon states that the Sony ZV-1 camera does NOT film continuously. According to that person, although you can film continuously, the camera breaks down into 10 minute segments. Another reviewer reveals that the Sony ZV-1 does not interface with Apple's iOS. I would appreciate a comment from an actual user here. Both of these criticisms are deal breakers for me since I have an Apple MacBook Pro and am planning to get the new 24" desktop. I don't know enough about posting and editing videos on Apple to know why this wouldn't be so.

Hey Brenda, there’s nothing wrong with 1080P still. Most people, especially on TH-cam, wont appreciate 4K anyway. If pics of your kids are a priority then id say go m50 with a good lens. In the long run you can upgrade the body when canon hopefully brings a good update 👍🏽

first of all, that's pretty amazing and I hope your channel blows up. Secondly, I think either one will work for you, but in different situations and different settings you may want the flexibility of interchangeable lenses. I'd go M50 or Sony ZVE10. Both fantastic options.

You can "upsample" 1080 to 4k. It's a cheat, which is what I do, but it doesn't make it any better quality. In fact, on the bigger 4k screens it'll look worse. No substitution for resolution.

low light I'd go m50 ii no doubt. Bigger sensor means more ability to keep your iso down. Definitely get something better than the kit lens though, preferable something with an f1.8. Hope this helps!

For vlogging, then ZV-1 is the best choice. Given the compact and lightweight size, it's very easy to use.
A lot of people saying they like M50 because of flexibility but you have to also consider the following;
Price - flexibility with lenses means you need to shell out more money
4K - you need to consider that our future will be towards 4K and 8K contents
Stabilization and Autofocus - ZV-1 is very fast
If you answer the first question and you ended being a PHOTOGRAPHER rather than a VIDEOGRAPHER, I suggest to pick Canon or Fujifilm
After all, ZV-1 takes photos very comparable to mirrorless cameras :)
Well said! The price of lenses is what really makes the M50 a less attractive option in the long run. A lot of people forget that, but for photography it is a better option.
Hello, I want to buy the Sony, but I'm watching your video and the M50 records much better. I know that it is heavier and more cumbersome. But quality sometimes costs, but it is worth it. The Sony looks like a good camera, but the Canon records much better. I loved the sharpness and depth of field of the Canon. I doubt the Zv1 looks as sharp and of the same quality. The Sony is to be used in certain party circumstances, for things that are not so important. That's what I think. But for more professional things, the Canon is better.
check out the ZV1-ii or the m50 ii now. Both are better quality and not that much more expensive. I think both are good cameras, but the canon system is more versatile because of the lenses.

I just bought the Sony ZV1 a week ago, I was thinking of returning it, but since I want it as a second camera, it can be used to record product videos or background shots. The reason I bought the Sony ZV1 is because it has a microphone input. Compared to the Sony RX100, which also has a microphone input, it costs twice as much. I've heard a lot about the Canon m50 being very good. The problem is that I've had a Nikon D7500 as my main camera for 7 years and that's why I haven't bought other cameras with interchangeable lenses, because I already have the Nikon, which is wonderful. And I've had another Canon Powershot, the same as the Nikon, for 7 years. I bought the Canon because of the powerful zoom it has despite being a Powershot. The Powershot doesn't record well at night, but if you put a light on it, it does. But that little Canon camera has saved me in many situations because of that zoom. I highly recommend it, it's the Canon Powershot SX740. Thank you very much for the advice!

@@DominicPhillip I have a zv1 coming today. I got it from best buy for 588. Open box in excellent condition. I have an m50 1st model and a g7x mark 2. I'll sell the g7x to offset the cost of the zv1. Might sell the m50 if the zv1 is all I'll need.
