The Anatolian is either modern Turkish or Anatolian Hunter Gatherer which is common in the Neolithic Farmers (Early European Farmers) lineages that are very high in Southern Europe and that Europeans share in common with Arabs and other Middle Eastern groups. The Tatar is more in line with the small percentage of East Asian.

No such thing as Italian or Turkish dna, meaning: both these countries were created by various ethnic-gentic groups. For example, Italy was formed as federation in 1865 of Lomabards and Venitians-Gemanic, Tuscany-Estruscans, most of the boot is Greek dna and Scicily a combination of Greek dominating with Maltese, Arabic etc. Oddly enough there not much of a large percentage of "Roman". As for the Turks-Anatolia : one third to one half is Greek, then about a third is Armenian and another third is Kurdish- only 8% is there Far Eastern Turkish dna. All these groups are indigenous people living in those areas for thousands of years and were subjected or coerced into changing religion, language and adopting a foreign heritage.

    • @Gii7077

If this is the casw, your family is most likely pontic greek and adopted a turkified last name in a bid to escape the pontic greek genocide by the turks. Very common. But i could be wrong!

I think that that small amount of central/south asian and east Asian are actually part of your Turkic ancestry. The Turkic people were nomads on the Eurasian steppes. They moved around a lot a mixed with the people they came into contact with.

Really excited but also anxious to find out about my results! Our heritage in Iraq is really mixed since we've been colonised quite some few times lmao, and it's also a very multi-ethnical country. Practically no Iraqi Arab is circa 100% something.
I know for sure that I'm mostly Arab and I'm suspecting some Yemenite from my dad's side, but I'm also expecting some huge amount of both Persian and/or Kurdish blood considering where my city is located, and possibly some Mandean and/or Assyrian in there as well.
It's all really complicated and the answers I get about my heritage are all over the place, not even my own parents know for sure so I really just wanna get a clear picture once in for all and put an end to all the confusion!

You are misunderstanding how the ancestry timeline works. It doesn't involve the family traveling. The dates show how far back the last ancestor of that ethnicity exists in your DNA. For example, the Anatolian DNA belongs to an ancestor or ancestors that lived around 1790 to 1880, likely 3x grandparent(s) to 7x grandparent(s)

  • @yo2trader539

Avars, Bulgars, Khazars (and some scholars even claim the Huns too)...were Turkic nomadic people from the Mongolian Steppe. And they mixed heavily with indigenous Uralic people during their migration. The Old Bulgar language survived in the Volga region; it's called Chuvash.
The Slavic/Rus people labeled everybody east of them as "Tatars/Tartars." As the Slav/Rus people expanded eastward, they mixed with and absorbed many of Turkic traditions, vocab, and people. This eventually altered Russian phonetics (diverging it from other nearby Slavic phonetics). Many Turkic words entered the modern Russian language, and also is why some Russian aristocracy had Tatar ancestry.
The regions that is being fiercely fought over by the Russian and the Ukrainians in the current war was historically known as the "Crimean Khanate." (Khan or Kagan is a Turkic-Mongolic title referring to the ruler.) These lands were traditionally Turkic/Tatar territory at least from the 6th century and onwards. Both the Ukrainians and Russians collectively invaded, killed, and exiled many Crimean Tatars during the Russian Empire and Soviet Union. Now Ukrainians and Russians are fighting over how to divide the spoils of wars from the previous centuries.

Crimean Tatars are Turkic, not Slav but since they lived in Crimea for a long time they may have slav genes. There are other Tatars-Turkic groups(different than Crimean Tatars) live in Tatarstan, such as Kazan Tatars, Nogay Tatars, Chuvash.

    • @thelamp091
      @thelamp091 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Neanderthal DNA is currently tested by those companies as a curiosity, but some research has related neanderthal genes with some current diseases such as high blood pressure and cholesterol. Originally adaptations against the cold European weather, but not so useful for current human life habits. Europeans and Europeans descents are the ethinical groups with more Neanderthal DNA.

From what I know I'm Polish, German, Portuguese, Asian (Japanese I guess), Spanish, French, perhaps Russian, maybe Native Brazilian and I don't know what more. I really need to check it with this kind of test. My biggest doubt is about which Asian ethnicity I descent. My mom was adopted and the only thing I know about my mother's side grandmother is that she looked Asian / Japanese-like.

This is so cool! The percentages are so interesting! I saw this in my recommended and I'm so glad I clicked on it! 😊 I just bought the 23 and me kit too so great timing! 😂 I saw that you're staying in the UK, how long did it take from you sending the kit off to getting your results? 😊💜

Sardinians are descendants of Neolithic farmers of Anatolia. So this result does not mean that your ancestors came from Sardinia, but that you share a minimum of ancient Anatolian peasant DNA. Anatolian means that these peasants lived in present-day Turkey, but long before the Turks arrived from Asia. All Western Europeans have some Anatolian blood, but Sardinians are the purest. Just to explain: even Oetzi, the prehistoric man found in an Alpine glacier on the Austrian-Italian border was an Anatolian.

Indigenous tatars have something along the lines of 30% east eurasian. Roughly. They have more east eurasian than west asian ancestry..
What would seem more likely to me is that your bulgarian ancestor was actually a Balkan Turk from Bulgaria, and that your west asia comes mainly from that

No. More like it comes from her Tatar side since it is more recent. Many Tatar people score Anatolian DNA. Alos, Bulgarian Turks score mainly Greek and Balkan DNA and some Anatolian while muslim Bulgarians score usually over 98% European

Russia has?/had 3 Tatar Turkic groups---
Kazan,.Volga, and Crimea.. Old USSR +
Russian Empire used to have much larger Turks populations-----Central Asia
    Kazajs, Kyrgiz, Turkmen, Uzbek. etc.
    Hope that these help.
