What a life saver...thank you so much! I had poked all the holes in the cover and it was clean. The gas point was the hole I didn't do! It wasn't really dirty but it did the trick like magic and it's functioning again!
I have the old model of GE profile gas stove with downdraft cooktop. It appears my gas stove head is one piece and I cannot remove the plate like you do. There are two side screws to remove the whole base inside of the cabinet. I cleared each hole with alcohols rub and needle and it still doesn’t work. Is there an easier way to fix the stove heads?
Evan better yet .. remove the brass jet with a socket set and unblock it without pushing the blockage back into the appliance , or replace the jet with a new one with maybe a few thousands of a mm biiger diameter
What if there is no hissing noise coming when you try to ignite the half of the grill (2 of them), half of my stove won't make a hissing noise hence wont light up, but the other half (2 of them) i can hear the hissing noise and able to light up the grill. I cleaned the stove last night. I can hear the ignite noise on all 4 of them but 2 of them don't light up and i cant hear hissing noise!?!?
@@InsomniacReviewer it happened again after a couple of days and the pin came to the rescue again… is there something else I could do to clear the blockage?
Take out the regulator. Drill out the brass gas jets. Water will boil much quicker now. Like at a Chinese restaurant when they cook with those big woks. Mine works great now. Before I had this tiny blue flame on high. Took forever to cook mac and cheese.
It worked! thank you so much

Can you clean these with the high pressure cans that’s I’ve seen used for cleaning laptops etc?
I’ve never tried it but let us know if you do

Sorry, no idea. Maybe ask a gas engineer?
Can i actually loosen the brass jets for higher flame?? Or is it dangerous??
No idea
Do you have to turn the gas off prior to doing this
Nope

That doesn’t sound like a super fast fix?

I think you might need to call someone in to take a look? It could be your stove rather than dirt blocking the gas
Does gas get the burners black after just cleaning
Eventually the burners do go black and need cleaning
Cheers bud… a pin to the rescue… god knows how much a gas engineers would charge… let alone the call out charge
You’re welcome. Glad it was helpful 🙏

Hi there, not that I know of. Only thing I can suggest is to clean it more throughly and see if that helps
Thank u 🙏
You're welcome 😊
Thank you 🙏

I have tried the same but my gas stove flame is still low. Is there any other step ?
Hi Candor, nope. If this doesn’t work than maybe there’s a problem with the stove it self? Is the flame low for all the burners or just one?
Hi Candor, nope. If this doesn’t work than maybe there’s a problem with the stove itself? Is the flame low for all the burners or just one?
@@InsomniacReviewer having same issue for all ths burners
If it’s all of them then the problem might be the stove or gas supply I think
@@InsomniacReviewer i appreciate your reply
it is best not to use some thing that will damage your jet, use acetone or hot water and blow it clean with a high pressure air
Did that work for you?
What about rhe oven same
?
