Crochet Fern Leaf & Fronds Pattern with Moara Crochet

In this pattern I am sharing two variations of the crochet fern leaf. First one is designed to create the long trailing full grown leaf, while the second version is to create the young unfurling frongs. You can use your leaves to create a forever plant for your home, or create a small selection as I have and attched them to some fabric to create a beautiful delicate crochet motif.

Materials
* 20 meters of green yarn of your choice
* Smallest matching crochet hook to your yarn (this will ensure your leaf keeps its shape)
* Scissors
Gauge: N/A.
Size: With DK cotton and a 2.2mm crochet hook my fern is 4cm wide and 30 - 35 cm long. With thread cotton yarn and a 1.25 mm crochet hook my Fern motif is 1.5cm width and 15 - 25 cm long.
Notes: The leaf is made in steps worked along a growing foundation chain which is worked along both sides.
