Considering target audience and content pillars this month. Your FREE Social Media Strategy Template arrived right on time and is deeply appreciated. Love your teaching style and how you work so well together.
Love that! Appreciate the kind words, means a lot. Good luck with the target audience and pillars - it's a real game changer to have those on paper. Keep us posted! - C
Just wanted to say thanks so much for this video and for the template! I've been in biz for 4 years, but my social has gone stale and I was ready to throw in the towel on it. Looking at everything again with a fresh attitude and getting it all into the template really helped me decide what direction to go next.
Hi Leslie, that's so kind, thank you so much! So happy to hear that, it really does help to have a strategy, and just the process of writing it all down can put things in perspective. :) Keep going! - C

Wow, this is awesome and very helpful. Thank you for sharing these step-by-step strategy tips and sharing with us the template. I'm excited to implement these strategies and elevate my social media game.
I heard you say in maybe a couple of different videos that if you're starting a brand new Instagram account, you need to do 12 posts, 3 reels, & stories daily? Would that just be to start? I also don't have anything to put as a link in my bio. I'm so glad I found your channel.
Hi Mary! That's correct - 12 posts today and daily Stories. Of the 12 posts, a bunch should be Reels. And yes, that's just to get going - think about it like this: if you're working hard on IG to bring people/eyeballs to your page and there's nothing for them to look at, they'll leave. Give them at least everything they need to know about your business so they stick around. Do you have a website? Or other social profiles you could link to? Happy to go over this in more detail on the Members live this Wednesday if you like, just add a question to the form and we'll cover it! - C
How to batch content with your main goal? If your goal will change like brand awareness to conversion the content pillars will change? Can you elaborate
Hi, regardless of the goal of your account, your content pillars shouldn't change. They should be able to withstand any goals that you set. Perhaps there will be times when you'll focus more on one or two pillars over the others (eg during holiday promotions), but generally speaking your goals shouldn't require you to change pillars - C
Hey! We're definitely down to a TH-cam Shorts optimization video, adding it to our publishing cal now. We also did a video that tips on getting started quickly, dropping it here in case you haven't seen it: th-cam.com/video/CX_cua03cik/w-d-xo.html - T
How many followers do you have? I feel like if you have less than 1,000, it makes no sense to start over. Even with dead followers, it will work itself out quickly.
Thank you ♥ + great questions! This depends, what is making you consider starting a new account? We've seen many instances of "reviving" a "dead" account through strategic content and re-engagement tactics, we could make the argument for starting brand new in a situation where a niche has taken a hard pivot, and the audience isn't as much attached to the creator than the topic (e.g. a vegan focused account that pivots to fashion). We also did a video on "how to revive a dead account" here that may give you some more to think about too: th-cam.com/video/3i6U5agFyFw/w-d-xo.html - T
Thank you for the valuable information. I'm struggling with content pillars for my online women's boutique. My focus is to increase brand awareness so any suggestions on content pillars? I think I am overthinking 🤷🏾♀️
So welcome, Marsha! You could look at pillars like collections, looks (you could collate looks per season, for colour combinations etc), sales + promotions, OOTD (outfit of the day), styling tips etc. Try to put yourself in the customer's shoes and think about what they would want to see from an online boutique that would be valuable to them. Hope that helps! - C
Hi! How do you go deep search on such information about your target market? Like how do you know what they purchase, what time do they usually go online? Like how intensive you should be doing that market research. I've been hearing of it and what dhould you gather but always cut on doing the deep search. Hope you could answer
Hi Mary! You can find out when your followers are online via the Insights on Instagram. As far as other market research, it'd mostly be qualitative data that you could find by talking to your actual customers and asking some questions about why they chose you, what else they buy etc. It's a process, it's not something that happens quickly, but over time you should be able to figure out who they are and what they're all about. Here's some additional info: www.indeed.com/career-advice/career-development/identifying-a-target-market - C

I think that influencer marketing has lost some of its appeal in the last few years. That being said, I would like to learn how you're doing it, especially when it comes to finding and engaging with quality influencers. Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure what a quality influencer is nowadays. Maybe you could cover that as well.
I have at the moment around 990 followers but most of them not my ideal ones as I have changed my niche in past and now will be starting again. Should I delete some past posts that are not related anymore to my new services and what I will be doing and also followers?
Hi, yes that would be a good idea. You could announce to your existing followers that the niche is changing and if they're not interested, they can kindly unfollow. Then after maybe a few weeks, you can go ahead and remove the rest - C
You can go to your Followers tab, tap on a given follower and then hit their Following tab to see who else they're following. That's the easiest way to get a gauge on it all - C
Question! I have an Instagram account - but my insights tells me that it's mainly (70%) in The Netherlands. But I don't want to speak dutch in my content / captions. Because i love English content more for a bigger reach. Do I need to make a new account? I'm stuck..
Hi! Are you based in the Netherlands? IG prioritizes your local audience first, so even if you make a new account, as long as you're based there, the same thing will happen. You can target English-speaking audiences by engaging with and following English-speaking accounts, and also ads can help you directly get in front of an English-speaking audience - C
I’m hoping you can help me out. I started my IG account to gain a following for when I open up my private practice as a practicing psychologist. Thing is when I started it I was inconsistent and got 12 followers. Stopped for months. Started up and can’t get past 27 after a month. Any help on the what my content calendar and pillars should look like. I feel like I’m all over the place.
Hi Paris, so without knowing anything about psychology, I'd suggest pillars that would surround tips (eg 5 Ways To Do X), anything focused on providing value. Here's someone in your field who does well on IG who could provide some inspiration for you: instagram.com/nedratawwab/. Once you nail down your pillars, you can fill out the rest of the strategy doc to map out where you post, how often you post and how they ladder back to business goals. If you want to use IG to drive new clients, then think about what potential clients would want to see from a prospective therapist that would convince them to hire you. Hope that helps - C
Hi! Great question. You'd need to interview a lot of people until you find the one, really. If you're offering a full-time position, you'd want to structure the job description so that it reflects what you're looking for (including company values, etc). If it's contract, you could use Upwork or Fiverr and really closely review their reviews and make sure you get on calls with anyone you're interested in. That's really the only way - to be transparent, we've definitely chosen incorrectly for our team in the past so you can only go on vibes and do your best to try to make it align. Good luck! - C
It's not an exact science, but typically as a business owner you'd know your audience to a degree, and you'd be able to figure out the types of pages they follow or interests they have. One quick example, we had a craft brewery client a few years back who couldn't figure out their audience. They wanted to attract 21-25 year old women but 50-70 year old people were consistently engaging with them, so we extrapolated that the crowd who actually engaged with them followed pages like The Keg and Walmart (chain restaurants, supermarkets, big box stores). Hope that helps - C
@@Highseasonco Got it. I feel like when I create Meta Ads I am trying to target a certain demographic and interests, but I'm not getting responses from that tailored group, which might mean my content doesn't appeal, it doesn't meet their price point or there's not enough interest. Or maybe ads are not the way they find who they're looking for and in-person visits are best...?
It could be that the audience you're targeting isn't really the demographic you should be marketing to, which can happen. Also a good point re ads might not be the best for your niche, however you won't know for sure without more testing with different targeting etc. Try some tweaks on your ads along with some organic daily engagement with potential clients and see how that goes - C@@brianballoonphotography
Team. I love your videos. But please the lady my apologies I don’t know your name, your volume when you speak gets louder as the video progresses. Whoever is editing these videos, the guy is very soft spoken when he speaks and the lady gets louder when she speaks. I constantly have to adjust the volume on my TV based on who’s speaking. While editing adjust the voice volume so they both match. Keep up the awesome work.
