    We hope everyone is staying healthy and safe! Since we have viewers from all over the world, we wanted to explain what the policy is in Austin for COVID-19. Austin has begun to slowly open up, with some restaurants resuming dine-in services (with specific rules), but with many still operating as take-out only until they can ensure they can safely serve customers.
    We are taking COVID-19 very seriously, following all of the guidelines, and staying home except for running and walking outside and very occasional grocery store trips. We made sure to social distance, wear masks when close to people, sanitize our van, and wash our hands tons when filming this video.

    Wow! Even amidst COVID-19, you guys are still a joy and inspiration. I love the transparency in all you VLOGS. Whether you guys are on the road traveling, camping in a backyard, or getting take out you still manage to make the best of every situation! I really enjoy the candidness and just how authentic you guys are! No scripts, no prompts, just Adam and Kathryn! Your channel has a zest and zeal that I have not seen anywhere else on TH-cam.
    On a side note, I cater small events, and I've had people tell me to start a cooking channel for Korean food or do a food truck. I know you guys love BBQ and as wondering if you ever tried Korean BBQ? If not, I'd be happy to post a video or share my recipe. I also cater to dietary restrictions, so I offer gluten-free and vegan options. I also have many quick Korean hotpot recipes that would go well for you guys living in the van. Anyways thank you guys so much for being an inspiration and a huge joy in this difficult time!

      David, you just made our morning! ❤️😭 Thank you so much for the kind words. It has been a weird time, but we are trying to stay positive and make the most of it and we gotta say, it has been fun trying to adapt to our current situation. We really appreciate you watching! 🤗
      As for Korean BBQ, we were just talking about how we wanted to try it the other day! It looks like such a fun experience and we are very confident we would looooove how it tastes! We aren’t sure where you’re located, but if you have any favorite spots around the US or tips on how to make it ourselves we’d love to try it!

      @@AdventuresofAplusK To be honest, I haven't been to many Korean restaurants since living in the states. Cooking and sharing a meal together means a great deal in my family, so my mother taught me everything. There are so many great restaurants in Korea to visit, but I live in Virginia now. There is a really great restaurant in Annandale, VA called Kogiya (고기야). They have open grills in the table to cook your food, and they also offer a wide variety of other Korean dishes. Last I remember it was about $20-$25 for all you can eat. I think it is decently priced for the authentic food, the traditional experience, and selection of foods. Only downside is that they do not accept reservations and can get crowded quickly, so I recommend having your name put on the waiting list as soon as you can.
      There is another restaurant called Iron Age Korean Steak House, but I would not recommend them. They are quite expensive in my opinion and not as generous with portion amounts as Kogiya. Plus their sauces seem diluted and did not taste very good in my opinion. And they play extremely loud music so it feels like you are in a dance club. Just remember that when you go to Korean restaurant that has open grill you will have to cook your own food. They will bring it to you already marinated, but it can be confusing for some if they never had Korean BBQ. Also make sure to ask for gluten-free marinate because a lot of Korean marinates use soy sauce or gochujang (red pepper paste) which can have gluten. My friend has Celiac disease so I always have to make sure no wheat, rye, or barely when I cook for her.
      Sorry this is so long, I just want guys to have a great experience with Korean BBQ or any Korean dish. To be honest you can make awesome Korean dishes for under $25. Most Korean dishes use similar, if not same, ingredients. When I do a video I'll just send you a link ^_^ Sorry again for such a long message.

      Wow, this is amazing, thank you!!! Don't apologize at all, we love all of these tips! We were supposed to be heading to Virginia next before COVID-19, but we hope to still make it there this year. We have some good friends there and we will have to take them to that spot. We'd love to make it ourselves though! What type of grill do you suggest using? Definitely share the video when it's done, we'd love to try it!

    Love love full on foodie episodes. Don't remember hearing the word "bark" but makes sense. Also, this is my favorite style pizza! It's all about the crust for me. Mighty fine? Yes, mighty fine is on our bucket list now:) We just got back from Gatlinburg which is full on opening and hit three eateries, and can't wait to hit the Gulf this weekend for more.

    Hi,
    I’ve watching your Austin videos as we are going to be in Austin in few days. They’re pretty good, in a way, they help us to be positive about the adjustments we have to in our trip to Austin. We visited it before and stayed in a hostel which had free parking and the bikes rental were pretty cheep. However because of COVID the hostel is closed. Therefore,
    I was wondering if you can give some tips on finding cheap parking to be around the downtown and parks around there. Also, if you can suggest any cheap bike rental.
    We are staying in a hotel around 4 miles away of the city center as the hotels in downtown do not have free parking.
    Hope you can help me and thank you for your videos.
    We will be going to some of the places you suggested.

      @AdventuresofAplusK  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Do you just need to find parking for during the day? We have parked in specific parts of town for free in neighborhood areas, like around South Congress and East Austin. You could also park under the Mopac bridge by the trail at Lady Bird Lake during part of the day to walk around the downtown area and lake. Here is the map with that parking spot: goo.gl/maps/vYz6z8cW8XL7Kqkx6. We haven't personally rented bikes in Austin, but you can rent at Barton Springs Bike Rental and Mellow Johnny's also rents bikes. I believe there are Lime bikes as well. I hope that helps some!
