  • A fairly typical, quiet winters day on Wellington Harbour, Tarakihi, Gurnard, Red and Blue Cod. Filmed with GoPro Hero HD2 onboard my Frewza F14.

I went fishing with my uncle on Wellington Harbour, we spent 6 hours out there, we only caught a few Spotty and a few baby Tarakihi. We then, decided to head back to the boat ramp and the motor wouldn't start, we rang the coastguard, he was going to take 40 mins so I decided to drop a line, caught 16 massive Red Cod in 38 minutes. One of the best days of my life.

Absolutely, go for it mate, would love to see the end result, there are many other clips on my channel with even better footage, you are welcome to use those as well. I only have them saved on TH-cam however so you'd have to download an app to extract from TH-cam? Cheers, Andrew

Glad you enjoyed it, however, if you look at the other vids have posted on my channel, you'll see I'm using the Drift HD Ghost, I honestly think it's a far better camera, easier to use, just as good quality and waterproof without the case. Regards, Andrew

Hi my name is Greg, you have some awesome videos, do you still have the F14 Frewza. I have a 60hp Yamaha 4 stroke would that be a good combo for that boat. Im looking at buying a F14 Hull trailer package but need feedback on that boat. Probably my son and daughter fishing wit me. Thanks

+Greg Merriman Gidday Greg, great boats, can't speak highly enough about them. If it's the older F60, then probably too heavy, but lots of guys are running modern 60hp 4-strokes as they are the same weight as the 50hp models, so I'd say if under about 110-120kg or thereabouts, you'll be fine, but you'll want to have the fuel tank up-front IMO. Regards, Andrew

troutboynz Thanks very much for that, the motor I have is 112kg. Where did you get your Rear rod holder does that come factory made. Also if you were to purchase another what alterations would you consider. Sorry about all the questions, this for my son and I is a major upgrade from our 12" tinny and we'd like to get it right.

+Greg Merriman You will be fine with that weight Greg. I got Osprey Boats in Nelson to make the rocket launcher, but I'm certain Brendan at Frewza can make one the same for less, it's cost me about $400 then I had to have it welded on here. My boat was made with a 4mm bottom which I highly recommend for Wellington and also a additional 4mm keel strip for beach launching. I would also add grab rails. There is a Frewza thread on www.fishing.net.nz in the "boating" forum, that will cover every little detail you need to know. Cheers, Andrew
