If someone is fighting with plus, minus, multiplication and division this person will have always problems with fractional calculation. The teacher can be as good as possible but that it is not the mistake of the tutor. The person had to sit down and learn. Today he understand that topic later he can not repeat it A teacher had to recognise where are the holes that can be the one and only mistake that is making the teacher if he knows what he is doing

Funny enough, more people went into Pre-Calculus instead of going into Senior Transition for the easy way out. The reason many of them gave was because they couldn't stand the teacher.

But slope of the line is given by coefficients of x and y only. For example say equation of a line is 3y=2x+1 then slope is 2/3. So Sheldon is right
