hahaha The scene in the car was truly well written and acted out to perfection. As a child I often watched my own family interact with each other as if I was watching a play. So watching this gives nostalgia.

No one ever gets it right anyway, the whole point of Shrodinger's cat is to prove the absurdity of trying to apply the principles of subatomic particles to macromatter. The cat is either alive or dead, it can't be both, it already is one or the other regardless of what you know. However, subatomic particles are always in two places/ states at once.
Sheldon described the theory exactly as any genius who thinks he's smarter than he is would describe it. He's not a quantum physicist yet.
Schrodinger's Cat was actually Schrodinger himself criticizing the usual interpretation of quantum mechanics. It wasn't meant to explain how it works, it was meant to explain why the widely accepted "collapse of the wave function" model was absurd.
@@Doomclown I'm pretty sure he just explained it in a way that Georgie and his dad could understand.
Clearly the most important point is the cat had white feet. Georgie is the real genius in that family.

He didn’t talk about the part where it was observing the spin of the particle, now that’s what really matters in the thought experiment, it’s a random outcome and the wave function collapses to see a definite state that observed with the 2 outcomes happening with the cat in the box.

the writers and most other people have this wrong, some one who reads up on it will know the cat may not have been poisoned. it has to do with a trigger biased off the nuclear decay of a cesium atom. A young scientist would have stated the thought experiment better. The really fun part is, as far as we can tell schrodiger was right, the cat is in a hyper position along with the atom until the box is opened and the wave function is collapsed.

They always misexplain Schroedinger’s cat in this universe (YS/TBBT).
Subatomic particles live in a superstate where they are two things at the same time (i.e. 1 and 0, simultaneously).
These particles “choose” a state when they are being watched, that is, they become either a 1 or a 0.
Say you put a cat in a box with a vial of poison.
This vial remains intact if a particle is 1, but breaks open if the particle is a 0 (killing the cat).
Since the particle lives in a super state until watched, the vial is broken and intact at the same time and thus the cat is alive and dead at the same time.
Ain't 1 and 0 in binary?

I assume that young sheldon calculated the risks of a car crash versus the likelyhood of smelling and in close proximity to his brother's possibly radioactive farts and ultimately decided that risking death or injury at the front seat was a preferable option compared to the latter choice.

They live in Texas. They're probably don't care even if there is a law for that.
@Christopher Bingham he's asking when (if ever) did Texas introduce a front seat law for children, since Sheldon is sitting in the front seat, so either they're breaking the law, or the law hasn't been introduced yet, or Sheldon is old enough to not be covered by it.
@Christopher Bingham it varies by state. Current Maryland law does not prohibit children from sitting in the front, but all children under 8 must be in a car seat or a booster. Texas law is similar. On the other hand South Carolina requires that children 5 years old and under and weighing less than 80 lbs sit in the back seat, and there are additional laws regarding the use of child seats and boosters depending on age and weight.
I love in Alabama. I remember them saying you had to be 12 or older to sit in the front seat, back when I was in the 5th grade (1996). Before that, no one really cared. You just had to be in a car seat until you were a certain height/weight. Im sure it varies by state though.

At the end... as the parent, and the one paying for the room, I would have told my kids to go make do with what I payed for. If they do not like it then they can pay for their own room.

Your kind of ignorant and shallow thinking wants to label anything caring and compassionate as 'modern nonsense' and 'woke'. I had friends with loving and involved and encouraging parents, and I also knew plenty that had terrible parents that drove their kids into very bad scenes. Lots of people that think 'they turned out just fine' are actually horrible people, and think 'toughness' is 'what it takes to survive', but actually they just don't know how different things could be. It took me many years to unravel what went right and wrong with my upbringing, and have learned to cope with knowing what maybe 'could have been'.
