You'll be surprised how good someone math can get when they're pissed off LOL 😅👌.. She look like she probably didn't even use the calculator either LMAO but hey who knows nowadays dot-dot great message song and video!.. love and miss ya Whitney!😊
I can remember being a young child dancing around to this song. I was so ignorant, I didn't realise this was the same woman who performed I Will Always Love You. She was so versatile and powerful
It’s call back phrasing on the beginning when she came in. This is her most urban album this is the album she has the mariah duet on and heartbreak hotel on. This was the first song off the album. She’s singing her own backgrounds u hear mainly. She was me of the first singers to sing her own background vocals back in the 80s. My favorite song off this album is oh yes and also I bow out , And until you come back to me. Check out this album you will be very happy. This album came out on 98 after 8 years of doing movies. Whitney sang live and she smoked cigarettes and weed and during her career she did over 650 live shows and several world tours so she works her voice as she did not lipsync she gave you what she had even if she was hoarse. She didint have real vocal issues until a after 2004. I think Like she said on the Oprah interview being Whitney became too much. I think a lot of the vocal damage she had was self inflected she got tired of the demands that came with being the golden girl of the industry. Love this song tho!
Darkchild produced this, it’s funny because when Darkchild brought her song she said she’ll do it but she wasn’t “feeling it” and wasn’t “ready to record it yet” she told him this same thing like 5 days in a row so Rodney (Darkchild) Jerkins thought she didn’t like the record so he was about to leave & go back home, bcuz he flew out to the city she was in so that they could do the record and the day he was gonna go back home she called and said she was finally feeling the record and ready to sing it😂😂
Great reaction video. Yes your seeing an edgier, bolder Whitney here. This was '98-'99 era, and by this time she was somewhat over it with the industry, and had all the attitude (confidence) to go with it. Love me some Whitney.
This is such an epic song and video. I am in awe of her. Wow. Such an anthem. Damn. She always made songs for lovers and people who have had their hearts broken and she made songs like this one where we say it's not right, but it's okay. Hell yeah.
YESSSSSS That's what I will always give Whitney in these later years (same album as Heart Break Hotel, 1998. Rodney Jerkins wrote & produced this, thus it sounds really similar to Say My Name & The Boy Is Mine), where her voice started to decline, her personality showed more, and her acting skills came in on these songs, that's what makes me live for her later songs. This is my favorite song from the album, and it's maybe my favorite song from the later albums.
You should check out the Thunderpuss Remix of this song! It was officially released months after the original version and not only became a bigger hit (it went Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100), it took the song to another level and made it an iconic dance floor anthem.
Heartbreak Hotel and It's not Right but it's OK. Is on the same album. It's called My Love is your Love. It's a primarily a R&B album. After the three soundtracks she did.
That was Whitney's come back album my love is your love it came out in 1999 heartbreak hotel is on that album also it was a gr8 1 from her react to he on divas live 99
Jack bro, when you do Deborah Cox- Nobody Supposed To Be Here, you will want to leave your ride 😂 because she MEANT those words with her vocals you MUST check that out!
YES! Another Whitney classic and another great reaction! It's great seeing someone witness Whitneys magic for a first time. My Love is Your Love is worth checking out! Its epic!
Whitney was truly a vocal phenomenon. Please react to her song “You Give Good Love”. Also please react to Fantasia “When I See You “. She’s another vocal phenomenon. You will love it.
So glad you picked this one...Your face though! LoL. Production by Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins (The Boy Is Mine & Say My Name). He pretty much ruled the late 90s with Timbaland & the Neptunes. -- You should do "If I Told You That" with George Michael next...the beat (like this) is SUPER trippy!
Whitney's "My love is your love" AND the last video she recorded before her death "I look to you" ... both are amazing!! For "I look to you" ... have some tissue close as you listen to the lyrics.
This is 1 of my favorite Whitney Houston songs and videos. Gorgeous and impact-ful. I love this album. ANd this is the same album as Heartbreak Hotel. This is produced by Rodney Jerkins. At that time, he did a few songs that sounded like this, lol, namely The Boy is Mine by Brandy and Monica.
Hey Jack you should react to Whitney Houston “Step By Step” it was a cover and changed some lyrics but she left the original artists vocals on the chorus by Annie Lennox another pop icon of the 80s but the song is from the preachers wife soundtrack!!
Whitney Had Aaliyah sing “Giving up” a donny Hathaway cover because she loved her voice and she had range that most people are unaware of, you gotta react it! Whitney having Aaliyah sing a CRAZY ballad is something you gotta check out!
Daedrian Lipscomb that’s one of my favorite parts as well! He has to check this song out! But when she says that “warm & tender touch” you can definitely feel the emotion she’s singing from!
Shaquille Yesssss!!!! She goes SO deep on that part and it’s so sultry!!! I love how she sings deep live because that song would most definitely had done her justice if she did it live
Daedrian Lipscomb definitely! If she ever sung this live, it’d definitely be the performance people would always show when the u informed say “she’s a whisper singer” and only has “soft vocals”! But RIP, I would’ve loved to hear her sing this live 🙏🏾
I learned from the best is another good one with a good video. Also since 4th of July is coming up you HAVE to react to her star Spangled Banner. And maybe some of her gospel like his eye is on the sparrow for the sparkle soundtrack
Her vocals fell for a little bit bcuz she was going through a rough time but she came back with I didn't know my own strength, million dollar bill she slayyyyed Whitney Voice will always be 💯
my all-time favorite Whitney Houston song is "We Didn't Know" featuring and written by Stevie Wonder. it is from her I'm Your Baby Tonight album in 1990.
I would love for you to review her Arista 25th Performance...the entire performance! it is like 17 min. But this song is amazing! Whtiney and Rodney Jerkins (the producer) killed the production and Whitney's voice rode the beat!
This song displays how versatile WHITNEY WAS. FOREVER THE VOICE. YOU ARE TRULY MISSED BUT YOUR MUSIC WIL LIVE FOREVER. RIP MY BELOVED SISTER 😔🙏🙏🙏🎶🎶🎶❤❤❤.
People claimed that Whitney’s voice was destroyed by drugs. But that’s actually not true. It was the smoking that damaged her singing voice. There’s a video on TH-cam that explains everything, and this came from a vocal coach.
I agree, her voice was never destroyed tho, her vocal coach even said that, it got real bad but her talent was so great that he got her 70 percent of her voice back while she was still smoking cigarettes. He said if he had more time he could have gotten her 90 percent back. Shit 70 percent was better then any one out low key!!! She always had that magic because she knew how to build a song vocally even if she was hoarse she made u feel it. Man she was really the last of the Titans! She was a blessing to us all that found her!!!!!
Drew Mura Yeah That is the video I was referring to. He probably could’ve gotten her voice back even more, but the record company was pressing her to get the album done and then go on tour, which was a bad idea.
Love your reactions man , you are so switched on with all your musical comments , love it ! New subscriber here . Have a great day man , from Australia 🇦🇺
Whitney was the voice of a generation. One of the most incredible vocalists of all time! She can sing Mary Had a Little Lamb and make it sound incredible. My Jersey sista! Miss her so very much.

She won a Grammy for this record. Her album My Love Is Your Love is one of her best.
Also, she looks HOT in this video.

Jack Reacts for sure!
she wasn’t the first to do her own backing vocals, cause Michael Jackson did his own since the 70’s .
I love how much of a diva she looks like in this video, she was done being played!
“You ain’t makin a foooool of me” my favorite part of the whole song
She was definitely singing about Bobby lol 🤣🤣🤣
Darkchild produced this, it’s funny because when Darkchild brought her song she said she’ll do it but she wasn’t “feeling it” and wasn’t “ready to record it yet” she told him this same thing like 5 days in a row so Rodney (Darkchild) Jerkins thought she didn’t like the record so he was about to leave & go back home, bcuz he flew out to the city she was in so that they could do the record and the day he was gonna go back home she called and said she was finally feeling the record and ready to sing it😂😂
Also let’s not forget he came in the business writing songs for Whitney when he was a kid. So she finally took one of his songs.
Drew Mura yup everything you said is facts! It’s crazy how young he was when he started making classic records!
Hey Jack, I highly recommend reacting to Whitney Houston’s “I Learned From The Best”!!
That's the one I LEARNED FROM THE BEST 💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯
Album track "Get it Back" is also amazing
I think he'd also like 'Until you come back' from that album. Jack be vibin to smooth, sultry, soulful ballads.
The album was a great album. Lots of good choices on there !! 😍
I’d also recommend “If I Told You That”
Lol @5:21 Whitney actually said on a interview with Oprah, that Bobby would use her credit card to take other women on dates while they were married.
This is definitely one of her best songs🔥🔥so nostalgic
