Wow! I didn't know about that Cagney party! Those pictures were amazing!!!! I have never seen a lot of the picts in this video. Great job! I thought it was ironically funny that you describe John as " clean and sober" while showing a picture of Lennon and Harry Nilsson. Those two were really wild when they got together! In fact Nilsson was a notorious instigator. No mention of May Pang? Well, the video was about Mick and John, so I get it. BUT maybe Pang didn't object to Mick like Ono might have. Who really knows what happens to people behind closed doors? Anyway, great video, thanks! I would like to add that the picture of him with Pang at about 30 seconds in is very painful to see. I am speculating, but to me he looks lost, bored, and in agony.
Lennon wanted to be like the Stones cos they could wear what they wanted rather than suits. Jagger was massive Lennon fan. You can see him in the video live shoot, All you need is Love.
So sad that Yoko distroy 😢the friendship between John and Mick❤❤dident now they where so close friends❤❤😊in that time..R.I.P.John buth your music stil there..and so many good songs you write with Paul ❤❤❤
In Lennon's final interview , The song "watching the wheels" had a back story , Mick was briefly mentioned . I disagree with the notion that , John or Yoko have any bitterness towards Mick . It was a new focus on family . " No longer riding on that merry-go-round! ! I just had to - let it go .
As I understand it from various literature Lennon and Jagger were always associated, now and then even friends. Colleges & rivals, right…? Don’t know how deep the relationship between the two bands stuck but they always respected each other….
You can't convince me that if John had never met the ice queen, anvil around his neck Groko Ono, that he would not have had a more successful solo career (forget about the whole "she broke up the Beatles thing" - which I guarantee she was a major factor). He might even still be alive. If he stuck with supportive hottie May Pang, there would have a much more creative John. Look at the people he interacted with on his "lost weekend". Then back behind bars. She wouldn't allow Mick to see John..WTF?
You can't convince me that you are not an ignorant racist who clearly has no respect for John. How would you like it if assholes trashed YOUR wife for 50 years?
0:18 that's Harry Nilsson with John. They were drinking buddies. The next year John collaborated with David Bowie and the song "Fame". I wonder if David passed muster with Yoko.
It sounds like Yoko was very divisive and had the audacity to decide who John would associate with. I think there were several reasons why the Beatles broke up but I imagine Yoko was one of the main reasons.
Lennon and Jagger were both a little insecure. They were probably 2 of the most talented individuals on the planet at one time. So they tended to measure their success by comparing themselves to each other. Jagger made a few tarty comments about the Beatles while Lennon being such a small man with an enormous ego was not about to let that go. Jagger did a few things that were somewhat imitative of the Beatles and the rock press never really called him out for it. That irritated Lennon since he frequently obsessed over things that didn't matter.
Exactly. It is plain the Yoko ruined Lennon in so many ways. He was never the same after he started a relationship with her in 1968. Yoko was toxic, and Lennon was so emotionally messed up, he never saw how she ruined him. Had he not had such a short life, he might have woke up.
LOL@ "Clean and sober John Lennon". Yeah, MAYBE that one night. He was a drunk until he got back to Yoko, where he gave up everything but ciggies and the occasional joint to raise Sean.
Mick was never very close to John when discussing talent. However, without Paul or The Beatles, John was nothing. The Beatles, as we know them today, owe much of their fame and glory to Lennon's murder. When John died, The Beatles became even more famous than they were during the height of Beatlemania. Thank you.
Great pics, especially of the Beatles and Stones together.
I appreciate this video and the slice of life and insight, it shares about these two talents, with us, the rock audience of that time.
John Lennon had serious emotional voids, that Yoko filled in his psychology.

A rare happy time for John after he'd met the horrific Yoko Ono - because he was with the wonderful May Pang.
Lennon wanted to be like the Stones cos they could wear what they wanted rather than suits. Jagger was massive Lennon fan. You can see him in the video live shoot, All you need is Love.
George Martin played a crucial Role making them Fab
Wow, May Pang is really attractive and even younger than the crazy Yoko. His fate is sealed when he rekindled his relation to Yoko.
Yoko was seven years older than even John, so yes- May Pang was much younger... And nicer than Yoko in every way
Super fantastic video, Nebo Sha Music
Nice photos! That's Muhammad Ali near the end of the vid. He's visiting John and Yoko's table. I think that was the Jimmy Carter inauguration party. 👍

@@kjeldpedersen666 Hope it wasn’t as deep as Mick’s relationship with Bowie. Yikes!

Yoko gets way too much blame for the perfect storm that broke up The Beatles
But she’s doesn’t get enough credit for ruining the rest of John’s life. Even Julian said she sucked him into a dark hole.
You're only showing that you have an extreme level of disrespect for John Lennon.
So true!!
good video
Anybody know what is going on at 0:50 & following? Some kind of brawl or something?

Yoko did not "rule" John. Leave her put of it. It's been 50 years.

Such a sad story. John was so lost... he allowed Yoko to control him. what the world could have had if not for her.

👌👌
May Pang - what a pity she never continued her relationship with John
Yoko set them up because she wanted too know who he was Screwing,, not knowing keeps one unbalanced with uncertanties about life..
@dancingtrout6719, she could also cheat on John at the same time.
@@Peaceharmony-x3r and you cheat .. wow
THIS ISN'T THE SIXTIES JOHN LENNON IT'S THE SIXTY'S YOKO ONO JOHN WHAT WAS YOU ON........
May Pang is Chinese, not Japanese!!!!
May Pang is Chinese-American
Yoko didn’t want John anywhere near a possible drug scene.
and she got pang and him together so she would know exactly who he was screwing
Mick und John treffen sich auf dem Scheißhaus.......
“Toxic Yoko”
How come the A.I. machine didn’t mention John’s guest and alternate Japanese squeeze May Tang…uh, I mean May Pang?
@@bootsybero Thanks. I’m making a mental note just in case I’m ever on Jeopardy and the subject comes up.
Yoko ruins another beautiful friendship
When Mick had found out about John’s shooting and death,he claimed that he was “shattered!!!”
And,that is based upon a true story that had happened in December of 1980!!!
😂
i cannot imagine that any time john or paul even chummed up with mick or keith they weren't thinking how much better a band they were.
The jealousy of gfs...towards their partners friends. Selfish to the core.
Ah, just another reason to throw Yoko to the dogs.
Along with your wife you ignorant asshole.

That's a pretty stupid comment...
What kind of drugs are you taking pal? You're tripping.
You're out of your mind, and then some.
Ah, the perspective of youth. Which is no perspective at all.
