    Count me as one vote for more videos with queen trades. Minor-piece-only positions are incredibly obscure for me, and seeing some explained would be very helpful. There are also 20 videos on this playlist now and I'm only on 8, so maybe it's all endgames from here on out.

    No way I could find a move like that, unless someone told me "now there is a move that wins the game" and again I would probably spent at least a couple of minutes to find it!

    • @DonFreeq
      @DonFreeq 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Idk. Very enjoyable for sure with hillarious darksquare bishop development explanation where Ndb5 wins on the spot ^^
      I thought Danya didn't want to end game too early which would be fully understandable, but he plays it later so doesn't make sense. Also he makes mistake with Nbd5 as up than Ncb5 is stronger as it blocks Qd8 retreat due to discovery with Nxc6. Even if not for that whole concept involves free tempie for black as a payment for that sort of development - apart from being 2 move dev. Odd for me that Danya didn't mention it. Whole b3-Bb2 idea is oriented on purely strategical battle where you giving up any aggressive plans based on black lack of development and passivity. If latter you go f4 or Be3. Didn't feel like good explanation about dark square bishop issue at all. Here opponent gave Nb5 anyway as he had no fucking clue what he was doing, but in general that is the distinction.
      First game was great though.

    34:50 if Black would've moved their queen to a square that attacks White's knight on b5, would Black have been able to take it after white plays Bxg7, thus being up 2 points of material? I'm probably missing something here
    Edit: ah, Black's bishop would take the rook. Duh

    • @DonFreeq
      @DonFreeq 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you are up to sth. You are close and actually you have almost pointed out Daniel's mistake. He played Nb5 with wrong knight as black can play Qd8 instead of axb5 and altough position is lost black keeps his pieces for now. However, if other knight goes to b5 indeed Qb6 is relatively best as line goes Qb6 Nxe6 Bxe6 Bxg7 axb5 Bxh8. In fact line goes as you said with inclusion of Nxe6 Bxe6. Obviously you misscounted, but nicely smelled a rat there.
      It's always tricky which knight to "sac" on b5. I mixed up there knights not once as well xd
