Yes, it's in a super spot and a lovely little course. Must get back there next year when it's in its prime, though the birdsong when I played was magic.
Been following its progress, and it's looking really good. Nice and close too, so will certainly be visiting it next year. Just played the front 9 before, so excited to see the full 18.
Well played! Those were similar conditions to those here in the north in April and May. You could lose a ball on the fairway at times! I bet that's a lovely course in the summer. It's an interesting layout, starting and ending with par 3s with three more in succession, and three par 5s in five holes. I wonder if it's always been like that? It has the look of being added to over the years as they've acquired more land.
Thank you! That's the joys of winter golf and especially the rubbish long wet winter we've endured. I really enjoyed it at Wernddu but you could tell that the front and back 9 are quite different. The soil on the back 9 drained well whilst the holes "over the road" were certainly quite damp (but we'd had such wet weather for months before). Yes, I'm sure it's super now with the warmer weather. It's certainly one I'd like to experience again 👍
I'm not fussy and don't have any real preference! Srixon, Callaway, Titleist, Bridgestone, Taylor Made.... they're all good. I use ones I've acquired along the way and certainly haven't bought any since I got back into my golf a few years back 😂 I always felt that Titleist were the best though, but that stems back to my junior days with the soft wound balata ones 🥰
played here a few times great setting and a good welcome

I'm sure it is! The course was waking up nicely when I played but I really enjoyed it - such a perfect spring morning. The birdsong was amazing! 😍
