Ordinary #golfer, playing average #golf on many courses! 🏌️♀️📽👉 www.youtube.com/@CeeegeT?sub_confirmation=1
All my videos are golf related and I film and show #everyshot. I try to show the golf #courses and each of their holes so people can make up their own minds about them. I also try to pick up as much ambient noise as possible rather than narrating my round, which has the added benefit of picking up the #birdsong present at that location, another of my interests, that I am happy to describe.
I'm attempting to play varied courses and want to "collect" as many as I can via these video while I can still play golf at a respectable level. I'm happy for the Golf Clubs I play at to use my content for self promotion as well.
All videos filmed on my phone, edited using Adobe Premiere Pro, with shot tracers done in After Effects. Graphics also designed and created by me using After Effects and then plugged into Premiere Pro.

18 Holes at Brynhill Golf Club. Every shot from this undulating parkland course near Barry
Every shot from my round at the Brynhill Golf Club near Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan on 2nd July 2024.
Having played a course earlier in the morning, I was happy to add another to my ever growing list and with Brynhill being close by, I was on the tee around noon in a strengthening breeze to make it a pair of Vale of Glamorgan courses for the day.
The course is situated on the main access route to Cardiff airport and as such is fairly easy to get to, being only 3 miles from the airport and just on the outskirts of Barry. It's a parkland course, with the clubhouse being located by the main road with the course extending over rolling hills which add to the character of the course. The long challenging first hole heads down the hill with side hill lies and gives a good indication of what the course has to offer.
When I played the greens were in very nice condition offering a good pace and lines that were very readable. The greens were receptive too which made playing the approach shots a real pleasure. Similarly the fairways were nice and firm and offered good roll and bounce if your drive found one!
There are a good variety of holes here with some lovely par 3's, and a good selection of challenging longer holes. Bunkers are well placed and force you to think strategically when playing holes, even the shorter par 4's require good planning. Certainly no throw away holes here with each one offering a good challenge with the natural contours, both on and off the greens, adding to each holes characteristics.
I had an enjoyable time here and very much liked the course. It's certainly one to consider if you're in the area with its reasonable green fees too. Hopefully you can make it here and have a super time like I did! 👍

18 Holes at Peterstone Lakes Golf Club. Every shot from my round at this super Gwent Levels course

Every shot from my round at Peterstone Lakes Golf Club in Wentloog, near Cardiff on 11th September 2024. A course in an area I'm familiar with from my birdwatching days but had never visited, let alone played. So after playing a nearby course earlier that morning and some doubt in my mind about the weather, I decided to bite the bullet and risk the forecast. I prefer not to play (more so film) ...

Every shot from my round at the Crown Course, Tracy Park in Wick near Bristol on 18th September 2024. Having played the Cromwell course in the morning, it was straight from the 18th there to the first tee on the Crown course. Every shot from my round at the Cromwell Course, Tracy Park in Wick near Bristol on 18th September 2024. The great British summer hasn't been kind to us and I was on a mission to try and make up some lost time in playing more courses before the rains came again. On learning of the imminent closure of Tracy Park on 1st October 2024, I was compelled to make some time to come and play, and film bo...

Every shot from my round at Church Stretton Golf Club in Church Stretton, Shropshire England on 3rd August 2024. A family weekend away in Shropshire with a little time window and my son also wanting to try a full 18 with the old man, meant a perfect opportunity to head to a course that had been on my hit list since I started on "collecting" golf courses. Great video again. You mentioned Langland Bay, played there last year and loved it.
Thank you! Yes the 14th at Aberdare certainly got my memories jogging. Langland Bay is a spiritual home to me. It's where I was a junior member and learned my game. I'd love to get back there and do a homage video one day! There's nothing better than being on the 8th tee at Langland, on a still, sunny day and gazing out at that view to Lundy ❤🏠☀🌊⛳
Awesome, just returned home to Canada from Wales, drove around the country side from Pembrey (near Llanelli) up to Snowdonia, beautiful country and countryside, bringing my sticks next time, CHEERS!
There are many wonderful views from West Wales up to Snowdonia. I'm lucky to live here although Canada isn't too shabby either! I have half a dozen courses still to edit and post from West Wales so hopefully they may be from areas you passed through. Definitely bring the clubs next time you're over - there are many great courses to be enjoyed over here!
I’m from Bristol but have only played there once, it’s a nice course. Have you played chipping Sodbury or the Players Club? Just out of interest, has anyone ever said you stand a long way from the ball, almost reaching for it, especially with the long clubs, hence your slice/fade. You are obviously a good player because you repeat your swing. Great vid, so well done.👍🏌️
I really enjoyed my morning at the Bristol. Those greens were amazing and the course was an excellent challenge. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video 👍 I've not played the two you mention yet and will hopefully get to them one day, but I've heard good things about both. So many courses to try, so little time and green fees money!! A few folks have commented on my address distance. Funnily enough I played yesterday for the first time in 6 weeks. Off the tee, that was a conscious thought that I was trying to work on. A few varied results but it's certainly something I need to take to the range when I get a moment. I'd love to get back to how it was when I was a teenager and could shape the ball both ways!
Played this course yesterday after watching your video. Lovely course and all the greens were open. Wondering if they have redesigned the course as my GPS watch was out with measurements on a few holes. As you say some hidden challenges. Will play again.
Nice to hear you played it after seeing the video 👍 Not sure on the course/GPS (probably a question for the pro shop or members there) but I certainly found it challenging but enjoyable when I played. Great value too!
I’m a pro and I love watching your channel
Lovely to hear you're enjoying watching my slice but more importantly, the courses! Any tips on how to correct the excessive fade?!
Another very enjoyable video. Have played Brynhill a few times but always in the winter with a wet course. That first hole is a very tough par 4 into a left to right prevailing wind and 440 yards too. I look forward to watching your Neath vlog as it's a favourite course. I expect filming and editing are a chore but much appreciated. Cheers.
Thank you! Yes it's a difficult hole to start off with, second shot was a real challenge with that side stance but a very enjoyable course overall. Still plenty to edit, so I'm trying to pace myself through the winter. Plenty of nice memories of golf in the sunshine though, which was certainly the case at Neath. Super course and some great views there. It's lovely for me to now be able to look back on these courses and remember them so well through all the time spent editing!
Love the videos pal, be good to see you take on pontardawe golf club and Mond Valley golf club
Thank you! I played Pontardawe many years ago as a teenager in a club match for Langland juniors but obviously I can't remember it now! Safe to say though that I have both courses lined up to play as a pair, hopefully next year. I have heard and seen good things about Pontardawe though. I have played a few around that area this year though - Neath, Glynneath (just starting the edit), Garnant & Glynhir. So many smashing courses, so little free time...
@CeeegeT also curious to see what clubs you have in the bag, video would be good
Great video yet again . When is Cotswold edge golf club appearing on your channel . Hearing good things about the place. Would like to see your take on the course thanks
Thanks Brian - it's another one on the list! I chose Stinchcombe Hill to do first of the pair and that one is almost done. Both were excellent when I played them though. If you do play CE before my video gets up you will not be disappointed. Just keep some energy banked for after you hit your tee shot on 18!! 🗻🧗♂️
Nice video. When does your Forest of Dean (Bells) summer video cone out? A couple of the greens are looking much better now. I didn't play for 6 week and was surprised after last winter.
Thank you! Not sure with the FoD one, I've got so many to do and work has been crazy recently. It'll get there but I'm trying to get one out per week if I can. I tried to drag my son up there Sunday but his computer and bed were greater draws 🤷♂️ I was pleasantly surprised by how it was when I was up there though. Fingers crossed it keeps improving 🤞
Plus five on the fives. 😰
I know but these things happen!😢 Two off balance fairway woods cost me dear on those par 5's but at least it only resulted in doubles. Didn't spoil my fun there though 🙂
Well played
I’m enjoying this video a lot and the green fees look good for this time of year. Just out of interest. Whats in your bag?
Glad you're enjoying it! I had a nice time here and was pleasantly surprised with the course. The contours make it really interesting and the greens were great when I played. I've not played for 6 weeks or so but with a bit of drier weather hopefully our courses aren't in full winter mode just yet so go grab a bargain and play it!🤞 Clubwise it's mostly second hand Callaway stuff which I got back at the beginning of the year. Rogue ST irons and Mavrik woods but also with a few odd 30 year old clubs in there too!
I just rewatched this video while doing my ironing. I must admit i was very suprised by this course. We went up in August and it was fabulous then. Are you planning on doing a top 5 or 10 golf course list? Would Pontypool make top 5 or 10 this year?
I can well believe it! You could tell when I played that the course is superbly maintained and cared for. Not planning anything currently regarding my personal favourites. I've managed 60 this year and it'd be difficult to rank them. It's hard enough trying to choose between a favourite style, be it hilltop, coastal or mature parkland course. Saying that, the experience at Pontypool was magic, the sight and smell of the bluebells, a super golf course that I played well on and of course, that Cuckoo... I really did enjoy Pontypool though and so glad to hear you had a similar experience. It's one of the videos I did before starting to upload in 4k and I occasionally (guiltily) watch back my higher definition version at home.
Great video coverage of the holes, you do these courses proud. Another one I’d like to play and add to my ever growing list 😅👌🏻
Thank you! Those middle holes are excellent - you'll enjoy them when you get there 😃
welcome to my home course
Thank you! And what a great course to call home! Hopefully I managed to make a reasonable effort of capturing it, despite the weather trying hard to interfere 🌬🌞🌦☂🦆🦢
@@CeeegeT excellent video well played
Love this course.
It's quality - always wanted to play there since I was a kid and was so glad I played well too. Was genuinely nervous on the 18th tee!
Completely and utterly agree about this course! - Played many moons ago, but is always in the top 10 courses of the 500 I have played - enjoyability, scenery, playability, friendliness, variety of holes - the list goes on - give me these lovely old courses any day (OK, maybe not when there's hoolie blowing or horizontal rain!) against these modern oft insipid American type parkland courses! - I watch all the usual suspects for course reviews, and I really do like the laid back, no nonsense way that you do it all - well done - Dave Thomas, UKGolftour.
Thank you for your kind words Dave - it encourages me to keep going doing this type of thing. 500 courses is some achievement. I'll hopefully make it to 100 course recordings next year after managing 60 this year. 🤞 I didn't know a huge amount about the course before I played it other than hearing one glowing recommendation, but only finding very limited content online. So naturally it was a course I was itching to play and hopefully the video has encouraged others to go and visit what is a truly fantastic course. I loved every second of my visit there and like you, was taken aback by the course, its views and the smile it, and the people there, put on your face. It deserves many more visitors and respect as it is the true definition of that overused golfing cliché, hidden gem.
Make sure you check out Parc Golf Club, just down the road from Peterstone. It's shorter, with similar water features throughout - but a more accurate test
Funny you should say that as this video was almost one from Parc! I turned up there after playing St Mellons earlier that morning but the tees were booked up for around an hour, so I headed down to Peterstone and chanced my luck there instead. It's on the radar so I'll get to Parc before too long 🤞 I'm sure I'll score much higher round there if you need to be accurate 😆
@@CeeegeT I'm a member at Parc, so if you needed a playing partner let me know!
@@CeeegeT DId you get a video done at St. Mellons?
Yes! I played at St Mellons in the morning before I played Peterstone Lakes but not edited it yet. I'll get to it eventually although I had a great morning there. Another smashing course 👍
Great memories and great vids of Cromwell and the Crown course. I was a member here for many years until last month unfortunately being kept as a manor with no golf. I believe a big part of this was due to being denied planning permission for a club house as they only had a portacabin and wasn’t great therefore a lot of money was lost. I’ve not heard anything regarding being kept even as one of the courses so 🤷♂️ not sure why someone would want to cancel 2 great courses and have it as a garden then again I couldn’t afford to find out 😂. Thanks for the great videos I’ve lost a few balls round there 👍🏻😂 currently looking for a new course to join as TP is only 10 mins away 🙄 typical.
Such a shame and a real loss as they are/were both great courses. I feel for you living so close having to try to find an alternative when you had everything you needed on your doorstep. I guess money talks at the end of the day... Glad you enjoyed the videos. I had a super day playing there, enjoying those super greens but can at least can look back fondly on the courses there through these vids. ❤
@ absolutely correct, it was simple in summer getting 3 rounds in the week as we could nip up after work and play, still looking at the mo so will wait to see where we end up 👌🏻 no worries, great content and great golf, you make it look easy on some of the holes I struggled a lot 😂😂 it’s good to see someone else play it.
Nice course. I played here once a few years ago, must be the flattest course in Wales, but your right it is very nice. Your handicap must easily be about 5. Ive seen you hit +4 multiple times on this channel and you're rarely over +8.
Yep, I really got into it as I played there and enjoyed myself much more than I was expecting. I did play really well on this round but still not sure on my handicap although not being a member anywhere it doesn't really matter currently. I always feel I'm one disaster away from a card wrecker though.
Automatic ball washer on several holes. Nice feature.
Wow what handicap are you off you play some lovely golf I know we all blow up now and again But I'd like to know What yardige and clubs You are using please
Yes, quite a bit of water around both above and at ground level! Super course though, a real grower. Greens were great too 👍
Nothing official but if I play to 10 I'm very happy although I played really well here. Clubwise it's mostly second hand Callaway stuff. Rogue ST irons and Mavrik woods with a few odd 30 year old clubs in there too! I don't use GPS so don't know the exact yardages. I just go on the distance markers and tee yardages given on the course, then cross my fingers and just play, enjoying being out golfing 😎
Great review have you ever played Glynneath would highly recommend
Thank you! Yes played it at the back end of July and really loved it. I'll get on to editing it soon 😎
Thanks for doing these videos, gives me a chance to see a course to see if I want to play it. Please keep making them. ROWGC member
You're welcome! I looked for similar style content when I decided I wanted to discover local courses and didn't find much. So I decided to attempt doing these videos to then be able to remember my visits, as well as showcase the courses to others. I'd love to do ROW at some stage when the weather improves as it's fairly close. Maybe put in a nice word for me to help with those green fees 😜
@ you can be my guest and it’s £32. The course is in good condition at the moment except for the leaves
I'm probably done filming for the year now with the weather (and work) not being great, but will hopefully get there next year 🤞 Plenty more courses to edit and post though - I managed 60 this year 😎
Loved the 9th. Never looked like anything but a 4. Enjoying the course. Will watch 2nd 9 with a glass of wine. Cheers.
LOL!! 😆 That was such a bad hole until the putt! Funny to look back on it now - my body language was rather amusing too 😂
Clearly decent golfer, what’s your handicap? Great short game
Thank you. No official handicap but if I play to around 10, I'm more than pleased. Short game often helps me out with that!
Great vid, I have lovely memories of these two courses, my first full membership. Massive shame if they do close permanently, they are lovely courses.👍 You played really well on both courses, thanks for the memories.
Thank you and you're welcome! I also have fond memories but just from my single visit there - a huge loss for the members and staff. A real pity they are now closed 😢
Real shame this has closed, it was my first membership. The old course was particularly good. It went downhill when the owners seemed to not be bothered about having members, they wanted pay and play. Shame! Brilliant vid👍
Yes, it's a real loss with these closing. Both very enjoyable, good quality courses with great greens which I really enjoyed playing. Really glad you enjoyed the video. I was hoping to create something nice for the ex-members like yourself 😊
Love your videos, what’s your handicap?
Thank you! No official handicap but if I play to around 10 I'm more than happy 😊
@@CeeegeT where are you based? I’m in Shropshire so really enjoyed watching you play courses I have played, Church Stretton, Leominster and Llandod.
Near Monmouth, but have family near Shrewsbury so occasionally get up there. Church Stretton was one I did whilst visiting so I have my eye on a few other courses up there for when the planets align 🤞
@@CeeegeT think you’d enjoy Llanymynech and Welshpool not too far. Looking forward to seeing more. How did you get that solid at putting btw?
Yes they are both on the radar 😁 My putting is up and down although it's generally been decent this year. A comment from someone on a video helped by making sure I keep my head down through the strike. Just started editing another video though with 3 three putts! 🤦♂️
great video
Thanks Brian 👍
Great video as always CJ 👍
Thank you! It was lovely to be able to play both the courses at Tracy Park before they closed and hopefully make a reasonable pair of videos to be able to remember them 😊
What's happening to the course is it closing permanently or re opening for golf in the future .
Sadly it has closed permanently after being sold to a private owner. The owners tried selling it as a continuing business but it wasn't viable under the current planning restrictions for the location. What happened to the Peterstone Lakes video 👍🏽
It'll be here eventually! I've got 22 outstanding at the moment and wanted to get these last two out after Tracy Park closed. I was really pleasantly surprised by Peterstone though and really enjoyed my round there 👍
Another decent round!
Thank you! Quite a lot of space to get away with my dodgy slice there although the wind was always a challenge. Greens were a dream to putt on though ❤
beans, beans, beans.
🫘🤔
Well played sir. As you hinted, it was well worth documenting what was to become a lost course. You never know, if anyone in the future has the idea of restoring the course(s) they will have this record of how it was.
Thank you! Maybe the new owners will have a change of heart, you never know 🤞 but I was really glad to play here and hopefully the video comes across well to others that have enjoyed the courses there. The other course video will follow soon...
Brilliant vlog, but do you know why they are closing, a beautiful course, is it down to the charging high prices, and people can not afford to pay in this day and age, or for other reasons ?
I'm not the best person to answer this, I'm sure the members know infinitely more than me, but I believe the estate has been sold to use solely as a property. 😢
whats your handicap?
Nothing official, but if I play to around 10, I'm more than happy 👍
Well battled round
Thank you! Managing my slice was more challenging than the wind!
Why are you constantly panning back down holes? It makes no sense. Plus the spinning camera is making me really seasick. You somehow make the video I want to watch unwatchable. My 2 cents...
Because it's nice to see how the course looks from all around? It makes complete sense.
Apologies for the spinning camera. I try to be as smooth as I can but it's a rush trying to film and not hold anyone up whilst trying to get enough footage. As the other reply here touches upon, I like to be able to remember a course just as much as the golf I play. Giving additional views on and around the holes allows me to remember them as well as hopefully assisting folks that may want to play a course themselves.
Nice vlog. I've never played here. It is a shame it closed, it is a renowned quality course. I believe it has put pressure on other nearby courses to put their membership up to absorb the members from here.
Thank you. I'm pleased I got to play them both before they closed and really enjoyed the day there. Lovely courses, well maintained and great greens. Sad to see them go. Yes I spoke to a few members who were looking at other nearby courses. I believe one or two were offering deals to take on members that were looking to join up somewhere else but I can't remember which ones now. I'd imagine absorbing folks from a club with two 18 hole courses will saturate the other clubs.
Is the course closing permanently? Sad.
Yes sadly. Tracy Park closed as of October 1st, taking with it the two courses here 😥
Just subscribed. You earned it by playing on through the rain. Looks like a fun unpretentious course. Have played Swansea Bay but not Earlswood. Many of your vlog courses I've played over the past 52 years. Fascinating to see how they aged. Can anyone tell me how many vlogs in CJ's back catalogue ?
Glad you enjoyed seeing Earlswood - it's a fun course. Not too difficult and great for beginners but a some super holes out there and a course with many fond memories for me. That rain was seriously heavy and resulted in a 15 minute wait through the worst of it. Not a great day to leave the umbrella in the car ☔🤦♂️ I think it's 36 courses posted so far although I've played 60 this year which will eventually make it online when I've edited them. Swansea Bay is amongst them!
A beautiful course.. I played the 18 th in sep 4 years ago(indian summer)and TRICKLED over the 18th green and finished down the 1st... Left myself a full 9 iron back up the hill..😂😂😂... played this course 6 or 7 times now including sep 2024.. its stunning.. I would also recommend kington golf club, just up the road.. its on top of a mountain and you can see 6 counties I think. (We always play for the claret jug there... Unfortunately this sep.(2024) it rained all day..(huge storm,50 miles p/h winds). (got away with it the Fri and Sat.. Out of 14 players I was the only person to complete the round..(i had a buggy). the organisers of the day refused to give me the claret jug😂
Yes it really is a cracker, I loved my experience at Llandrindod and will definitely be back again. That last hole is brilliant with a tough green as well. Lots of memorable holes all around the course and wonderful greens - love it! ❤ I've played Kington too and luckily on a much calmer day than you experienced!! Again great views there and some fantastic holes. I'd also recommend Church Stretton too if you haven't played it. Another great hilltop course with amazing views. I can imagine all these 3 would be treacherous with any form of high winds!!
You are standing too far from your ball on all shots apart from your chips.
I've tried various things with ball position. When trying things on the range and standing closer, I often shank full iron shots. I've recently tried amending my grip and takeaway. Still slicing though but not as bad. I need a lesson or six!
Your short game swing is almost perfect. Just do your short game swing on every shot.
I'll give it a try next time I'm golfing. Thank you for the input 👍🏌️
Hi , great videos , do you have anymore your uploading ? Cheers
Hi there, yes I do! I've played a total of 60 courses this year but am taking my time with editing and releasing them so as not to get burned out. Hopefully trying to keep up with a schedule of a video every two weeks🤞
@@CeeegeT i messaged you awhile ago to play Cotswold edge and stinchcombe . Did you ever go up there ? If so any video coming out soon cheers
Yes, I've played them (thanks for the recommendation) and loved both! I've got a couple on the go at the moment but I'll probably do one of those afterwards 😇
Love this course, so many good memories! First round of 18 here, first par here, first birdie here, and first time breaking 100 here! Love it down Earlswood!
Me too! Played there quite a few times back in the 90's and had a blast. Great course to improve your game on but has a few holes with some teeth. Loved it this time too, despite getting soaked!!
Algorithum did well here
Thanks 👍😊
Nice eagle! That first hole looks a brute.
The 1st certainly is a tough hole, made to look much more difficult by me though🤦♂️ It's always nice when the hole gets in the way for a change - very fortunate! 🦅
What a course I bet you wondering what you going to score after the first hole but very well played after that, especially that eagle they always help and having your lad there as well that's good fun😊 I did exactly the same a good few years ago now on a par 4 with my lad watching on (driver/sand iron) he was impressed....
It's a real cracker of a course ❤ I'm not too bothered about my score, just as long as I enjoy the experience and the course. So yes, I was a little nervous after the 1st but at least I quickly got into it and the luck started flowing ☘🦅 Really enjoyed going round here with my son and this video will be something I/we can look back on in the future. Congrats on your eagle, and impressing your son - rare feats both!
Was that 2 par 3’s in a row?
First 3 holes are all par 3's with a total par of 66 & no par 5's. Short course but really tricky!
@@CeeegeT Sounds fun!
Great video editing with all of the shot counters & visual markers - helps to follow along! Commenting to push you up in the algorithm!
Thank you!! I try to make these in a way that will help folks that haven't played or seen the course before and hopefully the graphics help with that. 🤞
Magic putt on the 6th 🤩
Thank you. Always happy with a 2 putt from that range but the hole got in the way for once😉 Greens were in such good condition and held their lines beautifully.
