Hello! This song is special for Dimash. For Dimash, this song is a requiem for his close friend Denis Ten. Denis Ten was the Olympic Champion of Kazakhstan in figure skating. Denis was a close friend of Dimash.Denis used this song by Dimash for his performance on ice .Unfortunately, Denis tragically died trying to detain criminals. Now this song is a tribute to the memory of a close friend.
Thanks for this information about his loss of his friend in shocking circumstances. In this version of SOS you can really see a difference in Dimash's delivery of it. I can pick up on a tender-hook nervousness, a fraying of energy, almost the feeling of someone in shock, in the delivery of the voice expressing the lyrics and melody. Oh so beautiful and oh so sad!
