I totally agree with you there, BUT I cannot see how that is something bad, instead of needning to think about non-rude coms they choose words that all of their group will understand.
Americans did the same thing during the Vietnam and Somalian wars, nicknames for their enemies that are beyond nice. Now during the more modern war in Iraq and Afghanistan they seem to have done some work with the coms.
