This is probably my most favourite 'romantic' movie ever. Rachel and Dom had such a beautiful and natural chemistry. I never questioned the time travel aspect, not for one second. Even though it was the biggest plot device in the movie, for me, the was also the most uninteresting, kinda. It was always there but it felt so natural, just like the love story and the family dynamic. Some movies don't need explanation und just enjoy them.
Same for me, but the more I rewatch it the more it is becoming my most favourite film of all time.

That's literally all the time travel was meant to be, a plot device. This movie used it to stipulate the idea of being able to meddle with your life in a way to execute it 'perfectly'. It's fundamental message at the end was to say 'stop wishing you could change things you regret, everything happens the way it needs to'. I don't think the time travel aspect was ever intended to go beyond that.

I've always said; I live this movie because it has time travel, but it isn't ABOUT time travel
Rain during a wedding in Italy is considered lucky. Their wedding song is Italian which talks about how the world goes on no matter what. 😍
My family also said good luck if the wedding is raining and my wedding is also on a rainy day

It rained at our Italian wedding last September :) me and my husband had seen this very movie the week before, it's our fav romantic movie and it was a great way of laughing about it likely raining on our wedding day. Our guests didn't mind the rain and actually fount it romantic!
It's just something dads say to crying brides.😅

I love the touch of having Uncle Desmond and Kit-Kat walking together in the rain. 1:44. I'm in no way hating on the other people in the scene, but Uncle Desmond and Kat pairing up, smiling and enjoying the rain, is such a cute touch. They're the two "odd balls" of the family, and they go along with each other, they understand one another. They are truly happy in the rain.

I love how when later tim asks her if she wishes to change it to a not rainy day and her answer was “not for the world” so sweet❤️

This movie is too good. Never gets old. The ultimate “feel good” movie.

all people including the bride and the bridegroom are laughing merrily.
I learn the attidude of life from this clip.
I love Mary and Tim’s chemistry but I love it even more because this movie is also almost about the father and the son’s relationship.

Yes i have watched so many time and i never get tired of it.
I love their relaxed and fun attitude, but what absolutely mesmerizes me is Mary's enticing and playful movement as she goes down the aisle at 00:50-00:53. Rachel McAdams is an amazing actress, and of course the movie is the most underrated masterpiece.
P.S. Them being this relaxed on their wedding day demonstrates just how sure they are in their commitment.

In Spain we've got a saying: "novia mojada, novia afortunada". It literally means wet bride, lucky bride. Rain during a wedding in Spain is considered lucky.
Ah in french we say « mariage pluvieux, mariage heureux » which translates to raining wedding, happy marriage 😂
In Italia : "sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata" 😉

I so love this scene. It is a wedding, with a massive storm. And yet so perfect that not once does he consider going back in time to change the day. Imperfections are what makes life so perfect, and this film illustrates it so well
Everytime i wanna feel 'happy' , i search this scene in youtube.
If my wedding don't turn out like this one, I would demand a refund.
This is one of the most mythic scenes in history of cinema to my eyes. There is just something about the mix in between the perfect song and the twin and everything. I died of laughter when watching this beautiful scene!

Rockhampton is in Queensland - the further north you go the more tropical the weather, and this time of year would be wet season. I’m in Melbourne which is down South. Melbourne is notorious for having four seasons in one day! Summers can be very dry and hot one day, cold and wet the next. Unfortunately there are a lot of bush fires in the state and around the country and the smoke haze brings that reality home.
