3:18 Something doesn't make sense here. I get that there are two thresholds. If the ascending portion of the sine wave crosses the upper threshold (3 volts) the leading edge of the pulse is generated. So far so good. Then you say there is a ripple spike that drops just below 3 volts but that this is ignored because the spike doesn't go down to the lower threshold. That's fine, too. My question is why then did the descending portion of the sine wave trigger the trailing edge of the pulse just as it crossed the upper threshold instead of the lower threshold ? Shouldn't the square wave pulse been a bit wider to the right ?
I loved the video! Just a tip for the next videos.. I wish I could have seen the circuit and the calculations for the 4010 that is the main topic of the video instead of the calculations for adapting the OP Amp that is the bonus part. Thank you for posting the video.
I know it is invertet but if you look at 3:16 then rising edge of green line is in wrong place, it should trigger at "lower threshold", which is visible at 4:55 but inverted.
I think that the error is at the lower edge. at the scope seen at 4:55 the signal was triggered at high edge and triggered again at low edge whilst at 3:16 they were both on the high edge. here is another example: howtomechatronics.com/how-it-works/electrical-engineering/schmitt-trigger/ yet I must add that this video is excellent and very informative..
brother at 5:59 in non inverting schmitt trigger diagram. there is no negative feedback there so virtual ground concept cannot be applied there i guess. in schmitt trigger there is always positive feedback which means it works in saturation region so virtual ground config not applicable.
Please make a video on optocouplers and switching high voltage ac using optocoupler and triac(keeping in mind that it has good isolation)... Hope to see your videos soon
Can that set up by used to control manuali alternator out put voltage as in cloosed loop voltage regulator circuet? The thing is I have unusual problem with my Delco 12si alternator I admit right away I do not have diode for my field wire so it does back fead to the dash board also my positive linear voltage regulator does not have diode no. The real problem beggines when I start to use ceramic hv capacitor on my ignition coil + fhew of those 3kw capacitors in series and the other side of those capacitors I ground them to chassys wia a trip switch some one call that staff plasma ignition. It does have good perks like faster engine, faster turning starter motor and bether responce to ligh flamabel fuel types thats not the problem. My problem is by useing such experiments on my engine it acured that the delco 12si alternator constantli back feads true the bulb and refuse to shut of unless I rev the engine at around 3-4 k rpm If I let go of the trothel the alternator bulb turns on again. So I doubht a diode wuld help at all it wuld only prevent back fead but not solve the problem .I figured out my alternator uses the - baterry value voltage potential snd converts it to + basicali via tge voltage regulator I did open that thing and found just what looked like white ic chip and 2 micro capacitors nothing ells in that thing so Im not shure uf partiali the bulb resistance has some thing to do with it or the positive linear voltage regulator creates some sort of voltage potential difference so the alternator can automatucali shut off or on on demande? So I figured it might by posibiliti that capacitor/resistor box might by abel to control alternators voltage to amps ratio at centrain engine rpm speeds. So I might by wrong wuld some one agree its manual alternator excitation control? And how posibli I culd force that alternator to charge baterry at lowr speeds? And how possibli I can avoid the hv ceramic capacitors to interfeare with my alternator starting cutt in current? I tough about it to use in series or parrarel configuration 2x voltage regulators and manuali engage them with push swich Im not shure if that wuld work or not delco made also tractor voltage regulators so Im honestli confused what to do and get ride of that anoying problem?
Steve Hernández si, he visto sus videos.
Mate you create the easiest way to fundamentally understand mechatronics!
Thank you so much for the awesome video. when I need to learn something about electronics, Electronoobs is always the best source.
This is far better than lectures.... Thanks so much
Really well explained, I wish my teachers would have explained that way

He made a mistake. I noticed it too.
Really nice, dude. You're not Joshua Bardwell, but I did learn something today. 😊

Keep it up bro.. you're now my secondary teacher.. i hate school. Lol
I catch some error. At 3:16 green rising edge should be in cross point of purple and blue line, similary as in 4:55
As I say in the video, that chip is an inverter as well at 4:55 I've inverted the signal 2 times to get that wave.
I know it is invertet but if you look at 3:16 then rising edge of green line is in wrong place, it should trigger at "lower threshold", which is visible at 4:55 but inverted.
Yes, the rising edge is not at the right place...

Please do a basics video on inductor and capacitor with their effects on both AC and DC.
Thanks for the idea!
wow dude. Thanks... helped alot especially with the 5v-gnd one
At (7:17) in the video, when Vout = 5V , it should be V+ = R3/(R1 || R2 + R3)
Sir, make video on 555 timer and its op- amp application in daily life
Make a detailed video about logic gates and how to use them
Useful video
why do u say to invert the signal 2 times to invert it? minus + minus =plus. so we should invert it once
Dominik I believe he meant that the first inversion is on the Schmitt trigger. He could have explained it better.
Hello, Please make a video on that how to find appreciate capacitor for a circuit or how to determine ampere from capacitors.
Please make a video on optocouplers and switching high voltage ac using optocoupler and triac(keeping in mind that it has good isolation)... Hope to see your videos soon
Already have that on my channel. Keep up!
I like your Bideos, but whats up with the pointy head?
Please make a video on pt4115 ic
we want more basic videos
nice work thanks

Muy bien, pero cual es la obsesión en hacer los videos en inglés si su idioma es el español?
Su idioma no es el español. Además en inglés llegará a mas gente.

Llegar a a mas público, además ¿hoy en día quien no habla inglés? ¿Te imaginas si Great Scott solo hiciera videos en alemán?
