I love this song! Your tutorial was awesome, thank you! I'm 68 years and have been playing for about 1 1/2 years, I struggle with 'hearing' rhythm and I love that you show multiple ways to understand it. I relate to, d du-udu etc., when I see this I hear it!
Hello! It’s wonderful to meet you 😊 I totally get it, hearing or feeling rhythm can be tricky and overwhelming the senses. So the trick to first clap it out or tap it on your guitar is a really helpful step you can add when learning new rhythms 🙌🎸😊
Just fabulous, Amber! I am in awe of your skill and ability to explain and teach songs on the guitar 🎵 I love that you are stretching your students to learn new techniques each week and they can add to their strumming styles. I just love this song ❤ Beautiful lesson ❤❤
Great! This would make a cool Duet piece, one person plays the Solo bits during the respective parts and could strum along with the A to Bm to D chords. While the other guitarist Capo's their guitar at the 2nd fret and strums the chords G to Am to C! Same key, just a different set of chords and Tonality. The Capo at 2nd fret might make the chord transitions a little easier than A, Bm and D. Either way, a fun song to learn to play! Love these Lessons Amber! Look forward to them every time.
That’s a great idea, a duet with the capo on and another guitar without the capo. Will get nice combination of different voicing’s from the chords 🎸🙌 I’m glad you enjoyed the lesson! Thanks for watching 😃
I have watched a lot of guitar tutorials and the way that was presented was excellant. The format and the explanation, brilliant. I especially liked the playthrough at the end that showed the sheet with lyrics and chords at the same time, I dont think many tuts do this but very helpful.
Hey Amber - i converted your name to these chords (A - Bm - A) then strummed them in the ddu ddu dudu udu pattern and it literally played the music for "OMW you're hot" by Steller Fans 😝
Your lessons are great to follow,I just struggle with rhythm,I always seem to go back to the DDUUDU!!😳😞I find that’s just a natural rhythm for me…..maybe because I’m left handed,my brain can’t cope with change!!😳🤔😀😂😜Good work though Amber👍👏👏
Hi Sean 😊 I’m so glad you find my guitar tutorials helpful! Thank you 🙏 the DDUUDU strumming pattern can be a default pattern. BUT, it doesn’t work with so many songs so it’s not a bad thing! The trick now is to try and keep your arm swinging back and forth and keep time while strumming - that can mean adding ups and downs at any moment, as long as you are keeping time 😁🎶👍🏻 that’s how’s different strumming patterns are created and formed!
I'm really feeling down, down, up, up, down, up down, up down, up....😂😂😂 great one easier than last week..thank you. Love and blessings. Phalaborwa.🇿🇦🇿🇦🤗
Hi Schalk! I hope you are well 😃🎸 was watching the cricket Paarl Royals vs MI Cape Town 🏏 and an ad came on with Dale! And I thought of you 😄🎶🎸 thanks for watching my tutorial on Sunday! Yep… it’s got lots of ups and downs 🤪 happy strumming!
You are really terrific. What I like most about your lessons is that you don’t assume that we know something. You take the time to explain it all. Appreciate you
Hi Mia 😃🎶 thank you, what a lovely kind message to receive! I love focusing on helping beginners and so I like to break things down into bite sized pieces- manageable and not overwhelming 🙏🎶 I appreciate your support and commitment x

Woo hoo! I am so glad you are enjoying my tutorials so much! That makes me so happy to hear 😃 Thank yo ufor your kind words and for supporting my channel 🎉
I have found that if you break a strumming pattern into two sections it is easier to get it. Play the first half of the pattern repeatedly until you get it, then play the second half of the pattern repeatedly until you get it, then put the two halves together and play repeatedly until you can play it without pausing. Also, always keep your arm moving to keep the timing of the pattern. You will surprise yourself how fast you will get it, actually just a few minutes;)
Bom!🙏 Greetings again Amber. I meant to say earlier that I adore your singing, the voice of an angel. I've been banging out this tune for a while (just the chords), but although it's fun, it is painful for my ears as I have the voice of a wounded toad!!!! You have a new fan 👍🎵🎸 Blessings ❤️
Hi Stella. I absolutely love your tutorial on "What's Up?" by 4 Non Blondes. I am wondering if you would be interested in doing a tutorial on a very catchy New Zealand guitar tune "White Rabbit" by legendary guitarist, the late and very great Peter Posa. I have seen and heard many cover versions of "White Rabbit" but I haven't seen a tutorial. I believe you would do a wonderful tutorial on how to play "White Rabbit". Many thanks Stella.

I don't pretend to understand the TH-cam deal but it seems to me that attracting views and subscriptions is an objective. Some of us have been playing at an advanced level, long before this young lady was born. Personally, the A, Bm, D was obvious without looking at tablature or a video but it's worth checking how others are playing a chord progression to see if they have embellished in some way. Playing the entire song up-front makes perfect sense because it grabs the attention, makes for easier playalong and experienced musicians don't have to sit through stuff that they learned decades previously. The tutoring portion is unaffected, merely shifted.
