    I cringed every time he tossed a tool and a charger, when you have brand new drills and impacts, with no batteries, they were probably stolen out of the kit, that is why there is a green tag on the items, most of those chargers go with the tools and bags, when putting them together, hopefully you take time to match them correctly...lol, and that big drill is a Hole Hawg and goes for over $300 new, and yes many people buy tools use them then return them because they are done with them

      This guy clearly has no clue how to do this right. The slamming down of tools is sad. I wonder how man now have something broken. The hole hawg is a nice tool. I used to have a super old milwaukee. The commutaor shorted and burnt up. It was a sad day. I got it used for 20 dollars when a company I worked for traded out all of their old tools for new ones. I almost bought a core drill as well with a bunch of used bits close to their end of life.

      Sparking tones down quite significantly with a bit of use anyway. Totally normal for a new power tool which has seen little use. Or a very old one with a motor that's barely hanging on for dear life.

  • @vsar1938
    @vsar1938 2 ปีที่แล้ว +131

    18:00 sparking does not necessarily indicate a burnt up motor, it indicates more the technology of the motor (motors that spark when used are brushed motors and those that dont spark are brushless) there are many more differences also. Brushless motors are considered higher end and usually used in more expensive tools.

    • @oogie149
      @oogie149 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      me and a friend got brushless sets and he dropped his in paint then it started sparking

    • @darthioan
      @darthioan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      They are not necessarily used in higher end tools. Brushless are almost exclusively used for cordless tools because they are more efficient, and deliver more power for less voltage, which is critical when you have to rely on a battery as a power source. They are also a lot more difficult to maintain and repair than brushed motors.

    • @Barbaratio
      @Barbaratio ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@darthioan While brushless is indeed more prominent than a brushed motor the brushed versions of tools are still available, but brushless is more popular. Brushless is indeed more efficient, but that's more along the lines of how much electrical energy (watts) is converted into mechanical energy output via the motor, not necessarily voltage. I'm also unsure of where the difficult to maintain part comes from, the motors themselves are actually much more simple than a brushed motor. The drive controllers for the motor are the more complex part.

    Home Depot had a promotion that if you bought the cordless drill driver and impact tool only you would get a free M18 battery, when they ring up, the receipt shows the price broken up and people bring the tools back and keep the battery which is listed for half the shelf price. The battery starter kit had the charger, a 2mah and a 5Mah battery and would show up on the receipt for $99.00 but the shelf price is $199.oo for the kit then they return the tools they get $99.00 less than they spent. and there was a similar promo for the M12 tools, hence many tools and far less batteries.

    Item at 9:42 is the bottom to a sprayer unit. Basically a battery compartment and a motor that drives a pump that's part of the Interchangeable tanks that fit in it. Decent haul of team Red. Worth well over what you paid. What amuses me about the whole pallet full is how many M18 kit bags there were, yet not a single m18 battery. Pretty much anything that comes in the zipper bag comes with at least one battery, if not two. The most common advertisement sale item is a drill and impact driver with 2 batteries. If you want to have anything checked over, warranty work, etc, The Power Tool Store/Bay Verte Machinery is in your area. They're a couple blocks off of the Oneida/41 interchange. Was just there a few days ago picking up some parts.

      @@trueheart1372 There were M12 batteries in the pallet, which means this was done before it got to a shipping process.
      These are mostly returns of the two kit deals that Home Depot runs where you get a tool kit with multiple tools and a battery kit with multiple batteries. The purchaser returned the tools and kept the battery kit because the retail value of the battery kit was much higher than the value marked on the receipt.

    Seems like you are getting pallets that one or two other people have had before you. The reason I'm saying it is because it's all chargers that no one needs and not the tools those chargers come with. I work in construction and use DeWalt battery tools and I must say I have about 20 chargers just sitting there and should really just go in the trash. Any time you buy a tool that comes with batteries you get a charger and they rarely if ever go bad. I have never had a charger break. So the people getting the pallet before you is taking the tools and leaving the bags that come with them and the chargers. They keep the valuable batteries and tools and leave the junk no one wants. I have thrown away many of the DeWalt bags the tools come with also. I do use one as a lunch bag though
