The determined heron

This heron has previously ignored reflectors, has landed next to a decoy heron and is now ignoring the nylon line guard. Needless to say, we have a depleted pond. This action, and more, took place on one day when we were not able to scare it off.

You need to tie about 5 or 6 fishing line and make an invisible fence so he can’t wLk through the highest one. Attach them to plants, trees whatever you can to make it difficult for him. I have 2 Nets and clear fishing wire zig zagged and stacked up 2 inches apart so it’s as tall as the bird and can’t get inside. I also added pokey agave or aloe in case he steps too close he will get poked. Sorry for your loss but you must protect your pet fish. My fish are my family I am doing everything to protect them, yes double netting and fish wire is not pretty but seeing my fish suffer is not worth it to me. So far bird has not got a fish and he or she “two of them” are coming almost daily.
