Liverpool Homeless Documentary: The Loneliness

- For the last few months, I started talking to people in my city, Liverpool, who are homeless. Since a child, I always wondered why people “wanted” to sleep on the streets. Fast forward 30+ years and numerous conversations with them who are sleeping rough, I figured awareness was key, to unlocking their stamp of disapproval from society. With their permission I asked could I record their stories and share it on my social media platforms, so people can be aware of how easy it can be, to become homeless. I created this documentary, to get my point of view across, about what I’ve learnt.
We all need a home no matter what the circumstances are. Home first then rehab 🙏🙏🙏
Why would anyone attack a person who has lost everything and lives on the streets. It really makes me angry

We need more like you in our failing world to bring light to the homeless. Just having a conversation with the homeless can brighten their day.
One of the things you can do is offer them food,toiletries and clothing the worst thing to do is walk by them like they're not even there.
Don't assume that every homeless person is a drug addict so many veterans are mentally unstable and unable to find housing due to their mental health.
@adikiamedia you've done a really great job of humanising people who have just suffered bad luck or genetic predisposition.
Its sadly really hard for men to get help when they are going through bad times.

17 kicked out went to Whitechapel got into a hostel to shared house to supported flat to my own flat

There is no such thing as escaping from sin. They will be a accountable to God on judgment day. God and the angel see it all, every second of a persons life people are responsible for even the smallest choices. People pay for everything one way or the other. We have to have Gods help and peoples love and support to survive and thrive. He can forgive and help us to forgive others and themselves. Many lessons in life.

Great video. What do we do so much pain and devastation in this world? Some people, though, don't help themselves. Others just fall on hard times could happen to anyone.

Ive dealt with a few homeless who have been offered help and a shelter to stay at but on the grounds that they could not do drugs. I think you know what the outcome was. At the very least ppl need to help themselves. Dont think ive ever heard one homeless own it. Instead its others fault. Shame
That's a very ignorant way to look at it. I was homeless from the age of 18-21 and in my experience there was a number of reasons why I didn't choose a hostel. Many staff in there are manipulative and treat you like shit. Also, I was abusing drugs and alcohol during those years because I was at such a low point. Many people seek escape from reality such as myself and that is also a mental safety blanket.
Your comment is absolutely ignorant and doesn't take into account anything other than your own narrow perception.
I was lucky to have got out of that situation and quit all my bad habits but not everyone is the same and yes, it was purely luck that I escaped from that life.
There for but for the grace of god, go I. I lost my home but was lucky to have a couple of friends that put a roof over my head until I was rehoused. Please show compassion for all. 🫶🏻🩵🙏🩵🫶🏻
