You’re so right those guys saying what are you waiting for, are ridiculous. You can tell a lot of them aren’t even selling anymore. And none of them give the real lowdown about how it really works, selling on Amazon. If you could take a moment to respond, I’d like to know how to get approved for DVD’s? Yeah I know websites I can go to but they require high buy in and minimum order limits of like a thousand dollars. Do you know of any work arounds so I can start adding this other media to my repertoire? Thanks for the awesome video.
I started buying DVDs and cds because of your advice. I've also grown to clothes, food, and tools. There's enough of everything to get in good. People who complain about not being able to get ungated never click the request to ungate through a whole clearance rack or else they would be ungated on dozens of not hundreds of brands. My store opened on October 1 and I've now sold just under 2k in items and expect about 800 in profit from it... books, DVDs, and cds. Lots of underwear now... but they pull about a 20%roi
I have an hour and 15 minute radius will probably expand that in 2025. Remember to route out places besides thrifts as well. My best sources are not thrifts they are libraries, record stores and pawn shops!
've noticed on a lot of CD listings there are limited numbers of resellers on listings.. often no small 3P sellers and only megasellers with tens of thousands of feedback.. do you hold back sending in any type of media similar to textbooks? I would think CDs would be more flooded with sellers..
Hold nothing back in the CD realm if you are ungated send it in! You would think CDs would be saturated but like you said its a few mega sellers and a bunch of us little guys & gals!
If CD's and DVD's go downhill in a few years, what other markets do you plan to resell in? I was 100% media a few years ago,....but I'm doing clothes/shoes as a backup for now
My restrictions got lifted I didn't know what was going on . One day restricted the next day flood gates open 😁 I was ungated in DVDs and CDs thanks to a person named Mike. But I was still hitting a wall due to restriction, but now everything I either listed on eBay because of restrictions or have in my death pile is going into the Amazon machine.
Exactly in theory the more FRESH inventory you can scan the more money you will make. Definitely need a hour+ radius to get serious results with this business.
So how many SKU do we need to have to make the full time income in real life? I only have 950 sku. Only make approx $900 monthly. And how many sku do we need to send in every two weeks? Thanks.
Do people really not know? I would guess most people (myself included) dragged their feet for a while getting started and just consume content for a while and would expect to stumble upon info like this. I know I didn't expect to get paid for a few months because of watching people like you. I missed the golden age but I did get a full cart gang at a small town goodwill during a camping trip once. Luckily we took two SUVs or I would've had to dump some of the books. It was a good feeling.
I think people really dont know. I think the world we live in and the way reselling is spun up by the big timers its get rich TODAY!!! Full carts are severely missed!
Just think how good dvd and cd were back when everyone bought them. Streaming has cut that amount a ton. I know they do still sell. I sell some. But % of people watching dvds and listen to cd is small.

Super cheap and easy! I did a video covering it step by step still works to this day th-cam.com/video/9YSZuORzaA0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JNZJG5rkVViIJnX_

Said that wrong... not 20% roi. 20%of the sales price is my profit and 2/5 was my initial purchase price... so 35-50% roi but 20%of final sales price
You are correct most people dont take the action of clicking through!! Keep crushing it and growing!
Do you check the condition of each disc before buying and reject a lot based on condition? Do you have a machine to resurface them?
I have a JFJ Easy Pro.
@@TheUsedBookGuythank you:)
When you say travel..do you mean travel to 50 thrift stores within 100 miles? And how frequent do we need to go? Thanks for the tip

How did you get the .22 for your cog?
Edit trigger I pay on AVG 22 cents per unit for inventory placement.
How do you know how to price each item? Do you use AI to reprice your items or do it manually?
Go2Lister listing software has built in smart pricing when you list items. www.go2lister.com/mike
What's the percentage of your inventory comes from thrift store? Should I focus on thrift stores first then records stores/Pawa ship?
75% thrift
@@TheUsedBookGuy Do you go thrift store every day? How frequently do you go? What's the best SOP route do you suggest?

I love your keyboard warrior impressions. LOL

Is it basically number games? You need to go more thrift stores out of your area.

Dude, couldn't care less about the windswept tundra you film in, but the scanning MUSIC that plays leaves a lot to be desired! 🤪

Depends on how much you need to make. I maintain about 4500 items and get paid roughly 5-6500 a month from Amazon.
@@TheUsedBookGuy Is this net profit? How many sku do you send in every two weeks?
@@vickar112 Net profit is around 40% You would need to send roughly 150-300 units a week!
