Update: After more than 18 months, we're still using the mattress. There have been no signs of damage, and only very shallow dips forming in the middle of each side where we sleep. That's normal for foam after this much time in my experience, and it's had no noticeable effect on the feel of the mattress. During this time, I've tested two different bed heating and cooling systems on top, and it's worked well as a base. There doesn't appear to be any damage due to water evaporation or heat. I just added an 18 months later section to my blog post about it, with a couple of photos of how the mattress looks now, which you can see here if you're interested: www.nosleeplessnights.com/emma-original-mattress-review/
Very professional and well laid out review of the mattress. Thanks for the content, I find sleep apparatuses to be very fascinating. Always struggled with sleep so in that constant search.
@@nosleeplessnights1 You mentioned in the video that people who sleep on their side might find the matress firm. That’s how I always sleep so I really need comfort when sleeping that way, otherwise I get cramps on my arm unfortunately. You saved me from buying something that wouldn’t suit me, thank you very much!!
You're welcome, and thanks for letting me know the specific bit that was most relevant for you. It's always interesting to hear which part of a review was most important for viewers. I'm still using the Emma mattress and like it a lot, even though it is slightly firmer than I'm used to. Even though I quite like to sleep on my side, I'm also fine on my back and front, so I'm lucky in that respect. If you need a very soft surface for side sleeping, I can understand the decision to pass on this one. I would too if I was unable to sleep well on my back or front and got cramps on my side with firmer mattresses! I hope you find the perfect mattress for your needs soon:-)
I've seen online the memory foam is very bad for intimacy reasons with your partner is this something I should be concerned about because of the sinking as we want best use for intimacy
Memory foam does have a bit of a reputation for that 'sinking' feeling, especially if it is thick and soft, low density memory foam. I can tell you the Emma is fine though (from personal experience...)

Thank you so much for this review!!! It’s been sooo hard to find a review in this much detail
You're very welcome. I'm happy to hear the level of detail was appreciated!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the review, and I hope you find something here on my channel, or elsewhere, that helps improve your sleep.
Very decent and thorough review my friend...much appreciated 👍🏼
Thanks for the feedback - I'm glad you liked the review!
Hi there, having tested a lot of white noise devices, if you were to choose one white noise device what would you go for?
Thank you in advance..
Hi. Personally, the LectroFan Evo. That's just my view though. If you need one with the sound of rain, for example, that one will be useless for you.
Thank you for this comprehensive review!
You're welcome - I'm glad you liked it.
Where did you get your bed frame?
It came from Oak Furniture Land.
What’s the make / model of your bed frame? It’s so Pretty!
I know, I love it! It came from Oak Furniture Land. It's a UK company, but I don't know if they have a presence in other countries.
I was trying to decide if I should buy this matress, great to see your review on it! Thank you!
You're welcome, I'm glad it was helpful. Out of interest, what was your decision in the end?
