Just want to say congrats, you guys have been doing this for 100 weeks now and never seem to disappoint. Keep up the good work and you’ll be bigger than Joe Rogan 😎
Thank you Eric, we truly appreciate it! We wouldn't be able to do it without you and your support. 100 weeks of doing this show seems unreal and we are always happy to publish it! We have a few uploads to catch Rogans numbers but we will get there😎!
Keep up the good work and good podcast! This is a short one since I’m not feeling good after getting in a bad accident and totaling my truck but it was a great topic and it’s amazing how strong deer are and how much they can tote! That being said I’m going to be that guy in that I sent y’all in my PA elk hunt with pics many moons ago and yall said on the podcast, Dave especially, lol that is a great story and every week I keep hoping it’s my day on the board but every week another disappointment. 😂 lmao but let me know if you need me to send it in again. God bless yall and remember to tell the ppl you love that you love them because you never know that in a blink of an eye your life could be over
We are glad you enjoyed the conversation this week! We are incredibly sorry to hear about your accident and hope your recovery is quick! Thoughts and prayers are with you! We will have to see if we can sneak the story in next weeks episode!
I hit a decent buck last early last year high. Clean pass through. About a month later when I saw him walking around seemingly fine. Saw him again when our shed hunting and he just has a bare spot high on his shoulder and is getting around just fine.
Can you guys bring in a deer target or a picture of a deer or something and demonstrate exactly where you aim to compensate for them ducking at 15-40 yards? I think that'll be helpful for people to understand!
We do agree with you, without a true visual aid it is hard to depict what we are saying! We have a short about it out now on the Raised hunting Podcast channel with a diagram that helps depict it.
@@RaisedHuntingPodcast itd almost be better to show videos from your hunt and pause the video and then show where you'd aim so that people can see the angle from the stand and everything. IDK, just an idea if y'all run out of things to talk about lol
@@travisshuttleworth630 As we get closer to season that would be an excellent conversation topic for the show! We have talked about shot placement on whitetails when we first started the podcast, but haven't touched back to it in a while. If we did this discussion again we will be sure to add in more video to help bring a better representation as to what we are discussing!
Good topic of discussion but I disagree that there is no space between the spine and the lungs. There’s science to prove it. Definitely a space above the spine, like you guys stated about 3.5 inches. See my response to the short, thanks guys!!
No man's land!!! Hit a booner in no man's land, first time using a thumb release during season. Worst season I've had!! Unfortunately looking at the pictures I don't think that was a NML hit, I hit in the same place this year on my buck with a pass through, not sure what happened that the arrow had extremely poor penetration on the pictures you have but that would have been high lung in my opinion
It is definitely a fiery topic to discuss! Sometimes even if you are used to using new equipment, you have thing still go awry, so don't sweat it and keep pushing forward! Deer are tough animals and sometimes even making the same shot can equal a different result depending on what you hit!
People think no mans land is below the spine, this is incorrect. Lungs fill entire body cavity and actually extend just above the spine, hence the hart shape on rib cage, spine. Its impossible to have a void inside the chest cavity... Now, the real no mans land is what Warren has a pic of above the spine, where the backstrap lays. So this buck the gentleman shot, has the broadhead in one lung, and high... A deer can absolutely live on one lung... this buck is proof of that.
There is a no man’s land on a deer. I agree. But Doll broadheads are in my opinion the leading cause of more deer not getting recovered. If you can’t shave hair off your arm. I truly believe your success rate drops 30 to 40% on recovery.
Good topic..100's of different scenarios on why a deer may or not survive. I believe deer have a higher survival rate on high lung shots vs single lung lower shots. I have no data but thats my personal experience of 33yrs bowhunting... Also WARREN!!.., i use fixed blades.. you aint surviving a single lung without a doctor so get off that mechanical ego. lol
When you really break down ever scenario when it comes to taking a shot on a whitetail, the possibilities seem almost endless for things that can go wrong, even if the scenario seems perfect. Weird anomalies can happen at any time. Single lung shots do tend to still cause a lot of mystery as to how they can survive based on where the shot is placed. 🤣 The broadhead debate with Warren will always be a fiery one! LOL
Awesome. Great discussions. Keep up the great work

Another great episode and good topic. No man's land is definitely real. Lot's of variables to look at.
We appreciate it and glad you enjoyed the topic. There really are a lot of variables to look at when discussing no man's land!

I agree. There is in fact a No Man’s Land Shot a 150s 9 from the ground. Hit high. Complete pass through. He’s still alive That hint was from 2022

The lungs don't inflate/deflate leaving a gap, the chest and diaphragm move in and out... If lungs moved your chest wouldn't move in and out....

Not real there is no air in a chest cavity
