I've had a few of these scammers call me. When they connect me to their " Victim Support Center" I tell them I'm from the F.B.I. and you can guess the next sound I hear is a click when they hang up the phone. I'm 67 and have to stay vigilant because it can happen to ANYONE, no matter how smart you think you are in thinking that nothing like this will happen to you . I felt so bad for the young college student who was just trying to pay for college and to help his family back in India and had no idea that he was being used. I'm so glad that you helped him AND got the cash back for those elderly women before they lost it ALL. I wish Shri the student the best. * I was also called about 3 years ago by "Mike" They always use American names, And I was told that they were the IRS and that they were coming to my house. I was on chemo at the time so it took me a bit longer than it would have had I not been sick to catch on. They told me to stay on the phone with them as I drove to the closest Walmart to buy gift cards I told them that I lived in the mountains, not close to any stores and he said that he would stay on the phone with me the WHOLE TIME that I drove to the closest Walmart to buy gift cards. I caught on then and told the young man to get a real job and to stop scamming innocent people. I got a few more calls after that and I just played with them, wasted their time on the phone etc.
I can’t believe that you think he is innocent. He is part of this multi thousands dollars steal. He should be handled to the authorities and they decide if he was innocent or not. These criminals are good at acting dumb
Im sorry, i don't get how they believed him that he had no idea, you don't open the door say "Want to see my tracking number" all exited. and then say you're not expecting the package the moment you think you might be caught. He knew he was stealing.

for scams. I am a young college student, and I was this close to being targeted by a romance scam. Yeah, I know, I grew up knowing about Nigerian princes, and I still almost fell for it. Even though I knew the person I was talking to is probably a scam, I was lonely, and wanted someone to chat with. When they attempted to start a relationship, I didn’t except fair advances, and then had to put up with manipulation and pitiful posts from them. Until they responded to me a week later, as if nothing was wrong, and tried to get me to sign up for LinkedIn, and give them my profile or some thing. They were texting me and yelling at me at one in the morning my time, trying to pressure me to do stuff for them. And eventually they gave up on me. it just goes to show that no matter how young people are, they can still be victims of scams. I was 19 at the time, and did instill to struggle with mental health challenges. So be careful out there folks, it’s not just 70 year old tech illiterate folks that fall for Nigerian princess.
Exactly, he knows where each penny comes from and where it goes to. More than that he will get his share. I feel sick that he is presented as an innocent hero.

I've seen multiple videos and it fills me up with anger that they can't do anything about it.. the only thing is confronting people without being able to arrest them.. or stopping the scammers for life.
Yeah…all the Indian police do it arrest them then slap them on the back of their hand, tell them not to do it again, then release them. That only gives the criminals to do it over and over and over again scamming us innocent people. Ughhh…the more I think about it, the angrier I get.

I don't know if it's the same guy, but after 2 1/2 years, I heard a scammer use the name John Kudo during a scambait live stream.
This was lot's of fun watching some of the scam bust's you guys have done. I'm so glad to have seen some of them during the premiers. 😀😀
I think it's funny how I wanted to always be that matrix guy sitting behind a screen with green code and counter hacking people. Now that I'm getting so close to that education required, all of those scammer videos just makes me want to help with this issue that is increasing. o7 to your efforts and I hope you keep this up! :)

I believe that when reaching out to individuals who have been victimized by phone scams, establishing your identity and encouraging them to check out your TH-cam channel can be a good way to foster trust. Moreover, when visiting the locations, it is prudent to gather substantial evidence and alert the police about the scam, presenting them with the evidence to avoid resistance from others.

Not sure what the law is in Florida, but where I'm at, the moment you're talking about harming/killing somebody when it's clear that there is no threat and aren't refusing to leave after being told to do so, it is now a crime; Menacing/threats to kill.
Just how insecure do you have to be to feel like you have to erase people entirely just because you don't like getting caught/don't like what they say. And I hate the fact I've ran into enough of them to know there's more of them around.
I feel concerned for the kids and any person he is in contact with, once people start making those threats so naturally, it is only a matter of time before they pull the trigger.

I wish you guys would go after scammers in the U.S. I worked for a company, Communication Solutions, in Lincoln NE that is built on scams. They scam their employees and scam their clients as well as the people they call. Pushing fake promotions on their calls and making false promises to their employees are just a couple examples.

I am so happy it did. Thank you and all the other TH-cam people that work so hard against these scammers. We get calls pretty much each day and I like to screw around with them until I get them to hang up. How I answer there calls is by saying “ Who are you looking for “ once they answer … then the fun starts with them 😂
