The Meseta is awesome. Beautifully captured. The wild flowers, the birds, the great wide open. Amazing. I love it. 😻

@@storiestellr just take it easy. Drink enough water and rest. Protect yourself against the sun, and if necessary, just stay another night or walk a very short stage. Don’t force yourself, recover first 😊

I walked the Meesta in the autumn of 2019. Leaving Burgos the voices of don't do it, and don't miss it filled my mind during the walk to Rabe de las Calzados. Just out of the village by the Tiny Ermita de Nuestra Senora de Monsasterio as I headed up into the Meesta I was filled with the sense of spaciousness. The encroaching motorways as you got close to Fromista filled me with sadness. So glad I walked those tracks back in 2019.

yes, the highway being built there is... kinda strange.

The rhythm of the Camino is the soundtrack of your feet. As you said it is; ‘hypnotic’. I love the sequence of where you meet the tour of German walkers. I sensed a little bit of judgement and resentfulness (I had a similar experience in Lorca). Then of course you interacted with them you realised they are people on their journey too. Birds fly, Fish swim, People judge. Enjoy the nothingness of the wonderful Meseta. Thank you for the interior shot of St. Nicolas. Buen Camino.

this is a wonderfull video: the never ending way throu the meseta, than: surprising colourful flowers and grass
moving in the wind, a lonesome nice bird sitting on a grass, goat, horse and cow - and: Germans in a group!

Beautiful. Stunning landscapes. I really love the point of view walking shots. It was interesting that you mentioned the Badlands because right before I thought it kind of looks like Wyoming or Montana (The Big Sky state). Wyoming is at really high altitude so it feels like the sky goes on forever and the clouds are on top of you. At least that's how I felt in Cheyenne. I think the Badlands are in South Dakota. In the U.S. these three states are considered close together as they're neighbors. In Europe these places would be like 4-6 countries away from each other. Your stream of consciousness is great as always. I don't think you have to worry about the quality of your narrative. You really snuck that gorgeous meal in at the end there. I guess that was a treat for people who actually watch all the way to the end. A person who tuned out like 5-7 seconds early would have missed out. Lastly, the longer video was a nice treat for the viewer. When I see 7-8 minutes I'm excited. When I see 13 minutes I'm very excited. The only problem at this point is I'm running out of adjectives to describe your videos and commentary. On to the thesaurus or Google translate to incorporate some German.

Truth be told. I click on your new video, I push pause, I click the like button and then I watch it later. When Mercedes comes out with a new model car of a series I'm familiar with, I can safely assume I'm going to like that vehicle, I don't need to see the car first. I will share my thoughts on this video later, after I watch.....

@@storiestellr You're doing the hard work, I'm just saying it's good. It's like I'm Howard Cosell and you're Muhammad Ali. Except I'm telling you you're the greatest. There's like a 15% chance that you get that reference because it's very American. I feel like it's similar to you pointing out things that have happened in European sports. I probably wouldn't know.

Just bought a new computer and was without one for a week, watching youtube videos on my phone not ideal. I loved the meseta and the mixed emotions I felt on this section. How is your knee? enjoying the sounds and that bird singing made my morning. May your journey continue to be "new" despite your past experience...Ultreia

a big screen is apt for the Meseta 😄
My knee is almost back to normal, although I keep wearing the brace just to be sure. Now, it is some food virus that felled me 🥹
this camino is certainly shaping up to be The Hard One 🥶 (and yes it’s very new!)
