Man Warframe, I mean Division, I mean Anthem, I mean Outsiders, I mean Godfall, I mean New World, I mean First Descendant sure is one of the games ever huh.

First Descendat struck me as Anthem-without-the-flight. A lot of potential, but hopefully with a company that knows how to realize it.
The long standing tradition of Korean hyper detailed character design at the expense of all other facets of artistic production.
Yea ill never understand why all korean games have the same looking characters (typically the most beautiful ppl of all time.) And then the rest of the game is just ok

Foley artist took the mic with them into the bathroom and just walked around in the bathtub.
And out of sync which adds to the humor
Fr they sound so off, like your stomping through the water, not just stepping. Each one has too much weight, and distinctiveness. They don’t blend together.
The audio tech who made the "wet footstep.wav" file must have been getting paid for each use of the file. Just be glad it wasn't me, or there would be wayyyyyy more 😂

Really makes you appreciate the level of polish in sound and gameplay that destiny has. We take it for granted sometimes because of the other issues we have with D2, but damn.

This should not affect the quality of the game. Just because most free to play games are of lesser quality doesn’t mean that all f2p games should be.
It’s most certainly justified to criticize it in that regard. Especially if it tries to get attention by its „modern“ graphics.

A dungeon pass as well (even tho you buy the current expansion/season) also let’s not for the cosmetics/emotes/finishers and ornaments behind a paywall which is even worse considering destiny 2 is full price game! And charges more for expansions then most games charge full stop! The first descendant in terms of of polish is certainly not the worse I’ve seen by free to play or full price standards

People got tired of Borderlands, so they went to Warframe. People got tired of Warframe, so they went to Destiny. And now, people are tired of Destiny so they came here. Warframe has problems, but so does Destiny, WoW, Maple Story, and every other online game you can think of. So before you call a game "trash", just remember this. And, also remember that Warframe is older than Destiny. You basically just called your grandma trash. You wouldn't want to hurt your grandma now would you?

Yeah, a lot of games and media use a generic thing or MacGuffin device to have the protagonist chase to acquire or find what it is, it's just the all important thing everyone wants
The iron heart can close the rift that the aliens come through. Pretty defined purpose within the first 20 minutes.

After playing final shape from D2, characters and dialogue feels very, very awkward and cliche in this game.
And mission types are lacked, it usually like this: go somewhere, kill X amount of enemies, collect something or hold X amount of time, then finish.
At last, the gunplay is okay, sound quite realistic to me.
Payshop? I don't even look at it.
That’s how Destiny started…and how Warframe is. There are only so many things you can do with guns.
Destiny distinguished itself by adding mechanics like you see in MMO missions.
I imagine this game is starting out basic and then will expand and extend once they get an idea of what players respond to.

@@xzander94 Ha, I'll believe that when I see it. Sure hoping it happens, it deserves way more coverage than it gets, for sure. While I'm not hoping First Descendant crashes and burns, maybe when content creators complete most/all the content in it, they'll swap over to Warframe since it's very similar in a lot of ways, who knows.
i feel like warframe is far too grindy for cross to play. it wants so, so much of your time, and cross already primarily covers destiny which has its own grind, warframes in addition to that would just be too much i feel
@fallen5983 1) He's popular enough that people will SHOWER him with enough gifts to fly to endgame in record time. 2) The devs have made enough positive changes in early game to remove most annoying roadblocks to progress through very easily with as little trouble as possible.
He could absolutely fit it in, see the best parts of the game a few hours a week, be right back on the Destiny grind and not bat an eye.

As a Czech person I found the name Karel for a big bad pretty funny. It's a very common Czech name (local form of the name Charles/Carl/Karl/Carlos etc). It's like introducing powerful alien faction with mysterious leader called Steve.

Game looks alright. I’m installing right now to see if it can hook me. It just looks kinda generic though. I feel like I’ve seen this type of game a lot only it’s a looter shooter instead of the regular mmo format.
That and I hope the female classes actually get cool armour and not just sex appeal armour but I doubt that’ll happen.

Its different, played about 4 hours today was something new so I kinda liked that.
Ran into a looting related bug telling me my inventory was full, kept deleting stuff and it progressively got worse.
That made outfit is going to be real popular on bunny
If they add raid bosses and stuff of that nature, it will forsure set itself apart from Warframe (even more as Warframe isnt exactly a looter shooter in the sense you instantly dont get weapon drops/gear drops, Warframe you only get pieces to craft the Weapons/Warframes, where as in TFD you can get drops and parts and gear pieces)
Expect big things from them, if they listen to community feedback were gunna be in for a banger.

So far I’m enjoying the game. P2W can be interpreted multiple ways, as I primarily view it if the game has PvP. Since the game is only PvE, it’s really just pay-to-get-ahead, as nearly everything outside of cosmetics is completely earnable.
That being said, the combat feels good, the looter-shooter genre feels good as well, and earning higher grade gear already seems to come easy after spending only a few hours playing it. Yes the AI of the enemies does feel pretty dummed down, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t challenging moments you’ll face. I think the overall mobility within combat feels very good, and while a slower parallel compared to Warframe, it plays pretty smooth so far. Boss fights are pretty fun compared co-op.
The game is completely free to play and allows you to formulate your own opinion of it without breaking out your wallet, just like Warframe. Compared to many other great games I’ve played, I’ve experienced very little bugs, outside of the need to optimize my graphics settings as this game is pretty graphics hungry, but mitigable without compromising quality.
I’m willing to keep playing and see how the end game feels, but for now solid fun and I’m sure some optimization along the way will only make it better
