Considering that Miquella did implant the soul of Radahn into the corpse of Mohg to resurrect him, it's a cool detail that Consort Radahn is about half the size as Starscorge Radahn, but the same size as Mohg.
I'm pretty sure it's just because he's in a younger body, where his gigantism hadn't developed as much yet. Imo the young radahn is the one who promised himself to miquella, and starscourge Radahn is the one who now being an adult general refuses his still (literally) childish brother.

Let's consider his is already kinda tricky for first run players, and really aggressive, so giving him hard buffs would be hard for his fight, but I do agree in that they do really dirty on him just because of that, even other bosses have better buffs.

These DLC bosses really DON'T STOP ATTACKING lol. The Radahn fight was hilarious. Starscourge barely got a hit in and got full combo'ed during his recoveries.
That's one thing about the dlc. You never really have room the breath on alot of the bosses. The damage and aggression is amped up so high compared to the base game bosses they just don't have a chance.

It baffles me when people say Malenia was easier or, god forbid, Orphan of Kos... while yes, at the time they probably found them harder and took longer to beat, but they're going into this DLC with all that knowledge and training. Malenia had that bs waterfowl dance and lifesteal, plus her attacks hit like a truck... but she had a lot of downtime and rarely strung together comboes as much and as well as Rellana or Radahn. You still had time to breath and wait before downing a flask. In the DLC, there's little room for error.
Bosses: "We oppose Miquella's age of compassion." Radahn: ... *whips out his greatswords* "It's treason, then..." *performs Spiralling Death at mach speeds*

And the only rrason he loses against the ONE boss who kills him does so with scarlet rot doing most of the work because its % based dot, making the fight considerably easier than any other method available in the game. In sheer dps values here, radahn slaps malenia without it. That said, its kind of weird how malenia needs +7 values to match NG radahn, and that its not even close to a fair fight without the rot, because thats supposed to be a stalemate/draw in terms of lore power

And a lord was everything Radahn strived to be, with his gear taking inspiration from Godfrey cause Radahn respected him so much. I think it would be safe to assume that a lord would have been the next step in both position and strength for Radahn, on top of also having a literal god on his back I think it’s reasonable to say that this version was significantly stronger than his gravity self was, albeit smaller and without his horse. (Which is the real reason he lost if you ask me.)

On top of that if u look at the numbers, all the dlc boss values at ng are like ng +6 and 7 base game bosses. And that’s excluding the fragment buff they all innately have.
I see so many comments ascribing cause of victory to ng+7 scaling for main game bosses. This is exactly why I want content creators to stop using ng+7 scaling and use the more relevant scaling pertaining to dlc, namely scadutree blessing. In radahn’s case, the endgame scadutree scaling should give 100% more dmg and 50% dmg resistance. Ng malenia with said blessing should have 66,502 hp, while her ng+7 version has only 47,250. So just know this blessing-less mg+7 scaling only SEEMS auspicious for base game bosses at first glance, but IS actually unfairly disadvantageous. Specifically Relevant scaling is worth more than generally relevant scaling. Eg. I would rather fight death rite bird ng+7 with sacred blade than ng dr bird with darkmoon greatsword

NG+7 gives like 30% buff so it doesn't really help much anyway since DLC bosses have much higher scalings. With Malenia, it all depends on her scarlet rot.
OK, this is false. It does not work like that. Some bosses like Starscourge Radahn have their health almost doubled. Damage on some bosses like Malenia and Mohg is greatly increased, but on others like Maliketh and Placidusax, it barely increases. It's not a consistent ~30% scaling at all.
I love that he jumped over Beast Clergyman’s first attack. Also how Maliketh never jumped on a pillar but every time I fight him the bastard spends like half the fight up there.
Radahn really is bullshit. Really not fun to fight against (not a skill issue, I beat him on new game +1 after 20 tries) he’s just poorly designed to be “difficult,” but he ends up just being over-indulgent.
If anyone ever says "Nah, Radahn doesn't do an obscene amount of damage" just point them here and watch as he rips 95% of the cast to shreds while they're on NG+7
Just goes to show how busted Consort Radahn is. The only one being able to take base game scaling Consort Radahn was an NG+7 Malenia - but even then Radahn tanked every single hit of two full Waterfoul dances (which each also gives Malenia probably half a health bar back from lifesteal) AND stood in the center of the bloom attack for the full durations AND was afflicted with rot (which is max% HP damage).
It’s so clear the DLC bosses’ designs are so different from the base game. Look at that relentless aggression. Plus despite being “base” stats, Consort Radahn is still so much stronger. Pretty clear the DLC is designed with assumption that players who played this DLC should have already finished the game before.

She gets the most insane NG+ scalling of all of the bosses, meanwhile Maliketh is still weaker than average.
Her heal on hit and rot status, plus the sheer damage on waterfowl is just a death sentence for any boss matchup.

@@Nightmare-pj4fg no op is right, every area as it's own scaling + ng scaling, Malenia is the ONLY boss with her own area scaling inside her boss room (on top of the halegtree area scaling ) however what made the difference is clearly the rot + radhan weakness to hit (because lore) instantly melting his healthbar after the flower explode, if she didn't had scarlet proc, radhan would one this one too i think, making this npc fight the most accurate one ever made x) from tart to end.

And the only rrason he loses against the ONE boss who kills him does so with scarlet rot doing most of the work because its % based dot, making the fight considerably easier than any other method available in the game. In sheer dps values here, radahn slaps malenia without it.
That said, its kind of weird how malenia needs +7 values to match NG radahn, and that its not even close to a fair fight without the rot, because thats supposed to be a stalemate/draw in terms of lore power
@@reapordeath If I had to guess, because Consort Radahn turns into and I quote from the remberance “A lord and a god” between himself and Miquella. And a lord was everything Radahn strived to be, with his gear taking inspiration from Godfrey cause Radahn respected him so much.
I think it would be safe to assume that a lord would have been the next step in both position and strength for Radahn, on top of also having a literal god on his back I think it’s reasonable to say that this version was significantly stronger than his gravity self was, albeit smaller and without his horse. (Which is the real reason he lost if you ask me.)
@@reapordeaththat’s just how the game made the dlc bosses stats, to even come close to dealing and taking the same amount of damage u need scar tree fragments, which base game bosses cannot get.
On top of that if u look at the numbers, all the dlc boss values at ng are like ng +6 and 7 base game bosses. And that’s excluding the fragment buff they all innately have.

I see so many comments ascribing cause of victory to ng+7 scaling for main game bosses. This is exactly why I want content creators to stop using ng+7 scaling and use the more relevant scaling pertaining to dlc, namely scadutree blessing. In radahn’s case, the endgame scadutree scaling should give 100% more dmg and 50% dmg resistance. Ng malenia with said blessing should have 66,502 hp, while her ng+7 version has only 47,250. So just know this blessing-less mg+7 scaling only SEEMS auspicious for base game bosses at first glance, but IS actually unfairly disadvantageous. Specifically Relevant scaling is worth more than generally relevant scaling. Eg. I would rather fight death rite bird ng+7 with sacred blade than ng dr bird with darkmoon greatsword

OK, this is false. It does not work like that. Some bosses like Starscourge Radahn have their health almost doubled. Damage on some bosses like Malenia and Mohg is greatly increased, but on others like Maliketh and Placidusax, it barely increases. It's not a consistent ~30% scaling at all.

The only one being able to take base game scaling Consort Radahn was an NG+7 Malenia - but even then Radahn tanked every single hit of two full Waterfoul dances (which each also gives Malenia probably half a health bar back from lifesteal) AND stood in the center of the bloom attack for the full durations AND was afflicted with rot (which is max% HP damage).

Yet again Melania can’t be beaten by Radahn despite him possessing a superior AI, moveset and damage because she’s pure cheese with her scarlot rot and lifesteal.
