WOW!!!! So Thankful that you told me about these other 2 videos... EXCELLENT... THANK YOU... so much for taking the time to make these GREAT Video. You are a great Teacher (coming from Me a TEACHER)...
Yes and no. So it depends on the gauge (size) of the wire and the size of the connections. The gauge of the wire in this video is I believe 22 gauge. I have used 20 gauge, 22 gauge and 24 gauge. 20 gauge is thicker so to fit it in you will need to strip the wire with wire cutters, which is simple to do with the right wire strippers. 22 gauge and 24 gauge are thinner wires and will fit right in the two holes. Once you close the clip it has a small metal cutter that splices to the middle of the wire and locks in the connection. So you do not need to cut the wire if it fits in because the metal cutter will clip half way through the wire once the clip is closed. Also there are a couple different clips on Amazon I believe 8 mm and 10 mm, which will determine the clip insertion opening sizes. Sorry that may be a little confusing, hope this helps.

Hi, the LED wires I use, have the power supply already connected to the LED strip when I purchase them. I have added some before, which was just connecting the wires just to use the left over LED srip pieces. But most come with the end power supply attached already.
I need to know that same thing as well. I connected everything and my lights don’t come on. I switched the wires around and still nothing. I did notice my led lights are split where I put the clips on. Is that supposed to happen?
Hi thanks for watching. I bought these off of Amazon. The links are in the bottom of the description. I believe the wire was a total length of about 16 ft. But I did not use it all. Thanks for your question.
Hi, I have the link under the video in the description titled 8mm LED connectors. And if you can not find it, just search the same 8mm LED connectors on Amazon and they should pop up. Thank you!
Hi thanks for letting me know. I updated the link for the LED. The wire connectors link does not want to work. But I went and found the description from the purchase. It is in the description of the video, hopefully you can find something similar. Thanks for watching!
Hi, thanks for watching. Did you have a specific question that I can answer? With this sign I really just bought a power supply, clear connectors and the red and white wire(for door bells from Lowe's). I inserted the wires into the clear clips. The clear clips have two holes that you just push the wire through. Then the other side of the clips is like a sandwich that you open and insert the cut LED strip. Make sure to cut the LED strip on the black line as shown in the video. That way it splits at the right spot and shows those copper half circles at the end of the LED, in the video. Make sure to line the clips with copper ends and it will light up. May take some practice to make sure the connections touch at the right spot. I hope I was able to answer you question, if not let me know what I can help you with. Thanks.
Dude!!! You did everything I haven’t being able to confirm about LED strip inside the silicon sleeve, thanks a lot life savior Question so you know what type of LED strip is this? I’m trying to connect a controller ESP32 but not sure if will be compatible
Hello! I’ve watched all of your diy neon sign videos and I’m having issues. The connectors aren’t staying onto the el wire and not making a connection. What should I do? I would love to have any and all help! Even when the connectors stay on for whatever reason it’s not making a connection
Hmmm, I am sorry you are having trouble with the connections. One thing that comes to mind is make sure not to close the clips too hard as when pushing the clips to close. Sometimes if I kept pushing it would just split the end of the plastic inside the LED wire. It is meant to just pierce the gold or silver sections in the LED with the clip. Pushing too hard will split it and the clip will become loose. This happened to me a couple of times. I just used the super glue and glued the edge of the plastic to the edge of the LED. NOT the connections, that wont work just the plastic to rubber. But sometimes you just have to cut back to the next section and try again? And if it is not making a connection once hooked together I would try to reverse the wires as this is the most likely reason. Please feel free to message me on Instagram and send pics of the issue. Some people do and I try my best to help out. I am not an electrician but have made a couple of these and can help maybe trouble shoot some basic issues. Hi thanks for watching. That depends on the gauge of the wiring and the size of the holes in the clips. Ive used two different clips and gauge of wires. The ones in the video fit perfect and did not need to be stripped. The clips have a small metal piece inside which penetrates the wire when clamped creating the connection and they fit snug. Unfortunately I have not been able to get those clips again. They are not selling them on Amazon at the moment. I have been using similar ones on Amazon which are smaller and I did have to strip the wire just to make sure if fit. Thanks for your question.
Hi thanks for watching. The wire connectors link does not want to work. But I went and found the description from the purchase. It is in the description of the video, hopefully you can find something similar. You can search "2 Pin 8mm LED Strip to Wire Connector Unwired Clips Solderless Adapter Terminal Extension Connection for Single Color LED Strip Lights 12V 24V" on amazon or online?
Hi, thanks for watching. I made the sign in July, used it in August for my daughters Birthday. And yes I still have it and it still works. As long as you make sure the connections are solid there are no reasons for it not to work. Thank you for your question.

You can just push them in to the connector? Right?
