Leaches, spiders and snakes- o-my Does everything in Australia want to eat you 😂😂😂 I was in Perth in the 80’s Crazy women was the biggest concern 😂😂😂 Loved it 😊
Great to see you two enjoying the (reasonably) warm weather & dodging all the creepy-crawlies! Here, (Montana USA) it is snowing like mad and around freezing (32 F/ 0 C). Merry Christmas & Happy new Year to all!
Howdy Molly! Merry Christmas to y’all! Ash is so cute! The two of y’all are double trouble! Looks like you need to add an awning to the Terminator Trick! Saddle up!
Respect! Hardcore! Hannels Spur Track is a 22.5km, grade 5 hike located in the Kosciuszko National Park, New South Wales. The Hannels Spur Track is unique in offering the greatest elevation gain (1800m) of any single hike in Australia. Mount Kosciuszko, is mainland Australia's tallest mountain, at 2,228 metres (7,310 ft) above sea level. You did really well! Great video!
WOW thank you for sharing an other fantastic video. I was not expecting you to post up on tonight because of been Christmas Eve. That hike looks amazing up Tredbo but definitely prefer riding a mountain bike coming down it . Hope you have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow so looking forward to seeing you on Sunday night for your next adventure if you decide to post one up for new years 😊
Molly you are so awesome......you even whine with a beautiful smile!!!!!!!! Other youtubers only hike about 2k from the road to the top:}:} Amazing you can drink the water....in Colorado we can't because of Giardia which makes you very sick. What an extraordinary year you've had and made so many beautiful videos for us. I love your Patreon too.........Happy Christmas Molly.......
Absolutely beautiful scenery, never been there myself, as I really hate spiders and leaches. Australia has some of the best scenery and visual aspects I have ever seen. The Video footage was amazing. Merry Christmas Molly and happy New Year, looking forward to your future endeavor's :)))
Great Video Molly, I hope you enjoyed your walk up Australia's highest Mountain, Next time your in NZ you should arrange a climb up mt Cook, there won't be any snakes and you will have snow at the Top! it's a little taller that Kosciuszko (7310 ft) Mount Cook 12,218 ft thanks for sharing
Lovely, however savage, scenery. I’m surprised that it is so inclement given that you guys are in summer. Thank you for the great effort and everything you have provided us with this year Molly. Merry Christmas 💜
thanks for great video showing all the colours & clear sound. noted the overgrown track at lower levels. big climb from 500m at Geehi (Alpine rd) where i imagine you started to Kosi at 2228m. you were very brave but lucky have apparently experienced companion Ashley & good weather. the leeches are horrible but harmless. the spiders are everywhere, again harmless. the black snakes - well you’re lucky to see one. the bogs maybe hard to avoid - must have been lots of recent rain. looked so lush & green. my fear would be ground misting over & losing the track. and suffering wind & cold exposure in a sudden change of weather. I did Kosi yrs ago the easy way via Thredbo chairlift. also o/n backpacked the area a few times in distant past & experienced some brief unpleasant cold weather events, typical of these mountains.
My daughter recently climbed Mt Kosciusko. She’s 21 and into hiking and quite fit. She said the climb was pretty steep but the view was worth it. It took her 4 hours and there was snow on the peaks even in October. I was so proud of her in climbing Australia’s highest mountain. She said it’s not that difficult considering.
Brings back great memories. Did an Outward Bound overlander course that began with the climb up Kosiosko and then bush bashed and canoed on the Snowy River all the way to Bass Straight. Good times!
beautiful views thnk you for sharing all your great adventures given your time show all your travels great videos scenery’s merry christmas too you molly have wonderful celebrations there 🎅🏻🎅🏻🥰🥰xx
Bloody Hell hahaha . Great end to the year , even if you hadn't planned it. Can tell you 2 have a special friendship by the barbs you toss at each other. Love it. Hey Merry Christmas and a Great New year to come 2024 , wow. BC Canada.
Great job on the hike Molly Mud Shoe 😜 Two snakes, spiders, and freaking leeches! Yuk! Glad those obstacles didn’t stop you from making it to the top. Check it off your list! Glad you had Ash back for this hike. Remember her from last year I believe. Celebrating Christmas here in Florida. Merry Christmas to you, and until the next vid, stay safe!
Two tough ladies those critters had no chance slowing you down! Would have been enjoyable to see Molly run thru the river though, or carried by Ash! Thanks for sharing!
Much respect. I wouldn't even try that. OK maybe from the otherside. 😅. Glad see you an Ash doing another video. More please. 🫠. Merry Christmas. Cheers TJ
I really enjoy watching your channel. I field target archery in the bush (Various places in NSW and also ACT) I carry salt with with me because I have leeches, and bushmans is a must!
Merry Christmas Molly and all, awesome videography, incredible imagery. All the best regards from here on the West Coast side of Australia 🌏 Batavia Coast 🎄🙏🖖🤟🇦🇺🐨👽🎄
In spite of rumours to the contrary, Mount Kosciuszko is far from the highest peak”in Australia” being classified by Moreton Peak and several others.. Cool video ☕️🦘🦘🦘
"Friend Brownie Points" Was my nick name in Collage! Thanks for taking us all along. I hope you, and yours have a Very Merry Christmas, and safe travels always.
No more fishing jokes lol It was fun factor towards your advance... Hannels Spure Track was great effort from both of you. Didn't experienced but can imagine from video. Length number says story too. Just keep going you have it right in all aspects!
I hiked Kosciuszko back in October ‘99, not too many spiders and leeches yet that year as there were still snowfields at the top that spring. How surprised was I though to see poisonous snakes up near the tree line, only in Australia! It was that year also that three young men died in a snow camping accident and rescue services were still conducting body recovery searches. Because I’d descended off-trail across large a snowfield, they inquired if I’d seen anything unusual. I found out later that they suffocated when their snow cave entry collapsed, and I must have passed darn close to their final campsite. A sad epilogue to what was otherwise an excellent solo adventure.
So funny when I imagine my local mountain on my doorstep, the Pilatus mountain, which is a few meters lower, about 80-100 meters, than Australia's highest mountain, it's a strange idea! And my local mountain, the Pilatus, is not even that high if you go towards the highest, which is basically twice as high at almost 4000 meters! But my smaller local mountain has the steepest cogwheel railway in the world up to the Pilatus Kulm 😉🤘🏻🤗! Greetings from 🇨🇭 Switzerland
Awesome video and great effort... I have actually ridden my MTB up Mt Kosciuszko but on a trail on the opposite side from where you hiked and was way easier than what you did. The Snow Gums you mentioned are actually dead as wood boring beetle which ring bark the trees is killing them. Love to see that you visit such different parts of Australia and look forward to viewing more content,
Well done girls, great to know about the stomping and pushing the sticks on the ground to frighten the snakes, and both bcf and anaconda sell emergency beacons you can carry around in your pocket just in case you injure yourself or if you get bitten, with these beacons all you have to do is press the button and emergency services will find you
We have a bridge here in NY that’s named after the same guy as the mountain. He helped design the defenses used in the battle of Saratoga during the American Revolution
Many years ago we went on a lazy bushwalk up to the Snowies and camped at the luxurious Lake Albina . One problem - spiders - in fact they were a thing called Alpine Funnelwebs. Not very aggro but a bit of a worry as there were lots of them and they get into tents and everything. Not sure whether they are venomous to this day. You do encounter snakes up in the top country (copperheads at least) and one of our mates was bitten up there. No comment but not funny. If you liked this walk then another walk in the mud and slug ascent vein if South Coast Tasmania walk. This takes about 7 days and one day is climbing the Ironbound Range which is very steep and goes from sea level to over 4000 feet. And you have to wallow in ankle deep mud on the ascent as you (and worse) do for the rest of the walk. Same there - you'll need to do it in Summer due to weather conditions and you can worry about snakes too.............copperheads and tiger snakes..............
You girls are funny as 😂😂😂 for future reference salt will make leeches drop off you almost instantly, I always carry a few little packets from a fast food restaurant or from my camping pantry 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
You can't claim to have summited Kosciuszko without doing it via Hannel's Spur. Congrats on doing it properly, and in one day! Took me two days, same with Bartle-Frere which I actually thought was harder. You should do the highest summit in each state!
It's not Kozy-os-ko, but rather Kosh-chu-shko. 😉 That looks like a great hike, and the views were well worth it. Great job! Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas. 🎅
Molly is good at highlighting one of the many joys of Australia, Everywhere you go there's something trying to kill you.
Same joy as I have walking around New York City.
@@Samlol23_drrich Also true. The libs have destroyed NYC. And every other big city.
Dangerous country.
😂😂😂 thanks for watching!!
Don't know why everyone complains about snakes for, they only take one little bite, same as spiders😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Molly, Love Ash, she is such a great compliment to you. She should join you more often. Mates! ❤❤ Cheers

Don't be a fruit loop...there are places out there where even a tiny frog is highly poisonous.

Yeah, we have Giardia in Aus as well, but up there, the risks are acceptably low.
Thanks Molly you are amazing I am seeing so much of OZ I would never have seen! You've become an expert on 4WD too. Power to you!

That was both enjoyable and interesting! I was surprised by the leeches; I didn't expect them to be so far from the tropics! 🤔😊
What a great Adventure! Great Job!
Well done on hiking that overgrown trail with all the snakes, spiders, and leeches in one day. You definitely earned a coffee! 🙂

Hey Molly, another great video. I was wondering how cold the water has to be where it’s not safe for you
Bloody great stuff girls!
Hi Molly..Do you carry an epirb into remote hiking locations as it could be a life saver if you had a fall or a snakebite..Worth considering..😉

Parabéns Molly e Ash bela caminhada boas festas e um ano novo incrível para todos.

Bluetti seems like a pretty neat setup. I'd like to try one out with my mini camper.
Merry Christmas Molly and Ash 🎄 have a great time 🥂

Coming again soon 👀

As far as crossing rivers, you do have a snorkel, are you afraid to get the moldixmobile dirty? 😜
It's not Kozy-os-ko, but rather Kosh-chu-shko. 😉
That looks like a great hike, and the views were well worth it. Great job! Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas.

Just because you have a Polish name...!!! :)
You sure picked one of the hardest routes
Awesome Yummy ❤😂
Good thing about NZ,you only have Sandflies to deal with, they are quite nasty little buggers though.
