If you want mess tins I'd recommend genuine Dutch army ones in stainless steel brilliant
Thanks for the heads up do u have a link for them
Love the intro and ideas. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Question: if the mess tins have possible problems with aluminum toxicity, wouldn't the same problem exist with cooking in the 1L and 600ML jet-boil type pots? And trying to line those with foil to cook in wouldn't be nearly as easy.
Hi, the mess tins are not the same as cooking pots as they are better. Quality than the mess tins is the
Residue that comes off the mess tens when you cook with them
And the cooking foil is just to fry food
Fantastic presentation man, you nicely elaborated as well 🙏🙏
Much appreciated!
"Silver Foil" is still aluminium, the same material as the mess tin, same toxic material. Aluminium pans and mess tins do NOT cause any toxicity issues.
The mess tins have not got the protective coating and ther is metallic Residue thar can cos a problem as I say is not defonet but is sumthing to remember
Nice explanation and run through.
Don't know why your channel was never pushed to me. YT algorithm 😂
Subbed now👍
Been using ally pots etc for 50 years and not that radge from it😂. If you are worried the hard anodised is safer.
TH-cam is funny sumtimes and thanks for joining the channel
I'm sorry if you put Aluminum foil in an Aluminum cook tin. wouldn't that give you the same danger of Aluminum poison?
Hi is cooking foil so not the same at the mess tin the tin has a Metallic residue that forms when you cook with it that is what the problem is
There really isn't any proof of aluminum being bad for you, debunked a while back. Think about it , the whole world used aluminum pots for a hundred years and all those people did just fine. We all came from all those people and the greatest generation kicked ass in ww2 eating and cooking in aluminum and alot of those veterans are still around and sharp as tacks. Don't be a alumipuss!😂
@@chuckberg5585you have no idea what you’re talking about. “Debunked”. Man where do these morons come from? “Think about it” lol
It absolutely does. But if you use it once and discard it afterwards it will experience less wear than the raw aluminum pot you’re cooking on. Honestly aluminum is the lightest weight material to carry but it is neurotoxic and accumulates in the brain. The only aluminum that is allowed to be sold today is teflon (ptfe) coated aluminum (toxic trash on top of toxic trash) or anodized aluminum which is MUCH better as it creates a layer of something called aluminum oxide which is much harder than raw aluminum and is harder than the steel or titanium utensils you are rubbing against the pot so you won’t be getting it into your food like you would cooking and eating out of raw aluminum. I would avoid anything made of raw aluminum or teflon coated (nonstick) aluminum. At least for cooking.
@@DadsAdventureTime”cooking aluminum” is not a thing. Aluminum foil is 99.9 percent aluminum. No different than any other raw aluminum product. Its disposable nature makes it safer though.
Brilliant video
Thanks

You will only get aluminium poisining if you cook and eat a lot of acidic food
