these aren't issues really. The real issue here is heat. And throttling. Which for me is perfectly fine as I only use it for my IT course. It is perfect for my usage, and I like that it throttles so it consumes less energy and can last longer.
I bought one last year when Costco had it on sale for $1100 and don’t regret it one bit. It don’t really have that much wobble when used. Adding a second SSD is a big plus but eliminating additional RAM slot was a letdown but 16gb RAM is fine. I have multiple laptops that I upgraded to 32gb but Windows doesn’t seem to use it to the max as it only uses up to 12gb of RAM. I wished LG made the bottom panel easier to access.
I bought LG gram 2021 after waiting for 1.5 years for prices of M1 MacBook Air to reduce. Instead of prices coming down, they bumped up the prices here in India.
I always cut the battery life estimates for Windows laptop in half, normally ends up being correct. 9 hours at full brightness in Performance Mode is pretty good. Definitely needs a white or silver version though.
I just bought a 1TB 32GB ram version on sale from Costco and it's a fairly decent bit of kit, replacing my Surface Pro 6. I wanted it for the bigger screen to use as a mobile artist studio. As far as drawing on it, it was kind of quirky and frustrating in the beginning, but has settled down after changing some app and system settings. The battery life is great, but it's new so getting that is not a surprise. I thought the body was plastic. Good to know it's some alloy. And yeah, it's a fingerprint magnet. I'm leaving the original plastic protector on it till I get some kind of full front decal.
@@Rielle5222 Depends on what you're buying it for. I wanted a larger screen with pen support for work/sketching. It's certainly light. I haven't tried it yet, but if it does solve some problems that's another thing i'll have to bring along. The biggest disadvantage is that it's not as "portable" as a Surface Pro because it has no kickstand. with the SP I can use the kickstand and keyboard folded under to create a comfortable drawing experience in the car on the lap. With the Gram i'll have to either be holding it or propping it up on a folded leg. But if I'm planning on working out of the house with it and bring a stand to use on a table, it's pretty nice. Airs are toys for non power users if this beats that… ok? You don’t need the power these have if you can get away w an air or non fan cooled design you arent pushing the system to begin with often enough imo.
Too much flex for my comfort in machine of this cost caliber. Also, Intel has great CPU performance but not so great GPU performance (and drivers). Also, for a 16" laptop not enough ports.
Benchmark test dont transcribe to real wold use, macbook are good for video editing, because of the built in decoders, that doesnt show up on cinebench, have seen a lot of laptops perform better but when it comes to the real power during video editing they drop frames, geekbench scores when plugged in, is not a fair comparison, as it is not a Pc, laptops are built to portable machines and to work without piwersupply where most of the windows laptop fail, and where macs take full control, price doesnt justify the performance, m1 air will probably outperfom it on battery when tested on battery and will yield way better battery back up when compared price to performance.
You never mentioned the price. Sounded a lot like an infomercial. Not enough on actual performance from a testing perspective as compared to what “Max Tech” does. Too many negatives like fingerprint magnet, wobbly screen, and perhaps price. Overall, a good first look at the LG Gram. Suggest future videos with direct comparison to M1/M2 13” MacBook Pro or the 14” & 16” MacBook Pro. Thanks.
6:36 I am sorry, but you are listening to a God damn video of yourself and you're describing the audio from the video as "bass can be bearable"? My dude, bass not equal to audio quality and there is so many things that eqaude to good audio quality. You listening to your own video that doesn't even have a single "bass" is not equal to the "quality" of the speakers. I don't understand why reviewers think "bass" is equal to "quality". Also Disney+, and other bloatware are all from Windows 11/Microsoft, you can reinstall Windows on any machine and it will install Disney+ and other bloatware.
There was good effort in your review and I look forward to seeing how you develope your channel. If you ever did an install or update to windows 11 you would know things like Disney plus app, Spotify, etc were standard bloatware from microsoft I am pretty sure the trackpad speed can be adjusted in windows settings. If not then that is rather odd. Your change in audio for speaker testing was really weird. You might want to consider using a common device like other laptops for speaker comparisons rather than your voice.
The yoga is a bit better overall because of better cooling system, except for battery life from what i've seen. I also really don't like the look of it. but it's purely personal taste.

Also when you having meal when watching videos on the laptop, you don't need to care about dropping food on the laptop keyboard and spoiling it. Just use tent mode and issue resolved
LG's site is terrible so I'll just try asking here - is it available in a 32GB RAM skew?
In Europe yes, it has 32 go option, as well 1 or 2 To SSD for the non 2 in 1 model, for the 2 in 1 I'm not sure.
must be a joke to consider this over any 2021/22 macbook
I hate preinstalled bloatware software
Whitch is that bag exsactly 🤔
I have this computers. Make a review video without mentionning the problem of the fan and heat is criminal. Look at reddit also ou ll have better feedback.
thx i was wondering about that
Airs are toys for non power users if this beats that… ok? You don’t need the power these have if you can get away w an air or non fan cooled design you arent pushing the system to begin with often enough imo.
What is 3.26 lbs?
Thanks Mike O'Brien
You never mentioned the price. Sounded a lot like an infomercial. Not enough on actual performance from a testing perspective as compared to what “Max Tech” does. Too many negatives like fingerprint magnet, wobbly screen, and perhaps price. Overall, a good first look at the LG Gram. Suggest future videos with direct comparison to M1/M2 13” MacBook Pro or the 14” & 16” MacBook Pro. Thanks.
Love this laptop but I would rather have a MacBook Air M2 as it works better for my needs compared to windows or chrome OS
If you ever did an install or update to windows 11 you would know things like Disney plus app, Spotify, etc were standard bloatware from microsoft
I am pretty sure the trackpad speed can be adjusted in windows settings. If not then that is rather odd.
Your change in audio for speaker testing was really weird. You might want to consider using a common device like other laptops for speaker comparisons rather than your voice.
Sir you can put pen in your pocket or laptop bag. Pen is very useful. Ok leave that. Please bring Lenevo yoga 9i 2022 Intel 12 gen laptop review
The yoga is a bit better overall because of better cooling system, except for battery life from what i've seen.
I also really don't like the look of it. but it's purely personal taste.
It's pretty annoying how almost all of the reviewers assess laptop speeв based on video editing? Like everyone needs to edit videos?! I'm coding, pulling data from database, perform math calculations. I don't care about video editing.
Have u found a good channel that focuses on this?
@@rayrayballer1 seen some videos that focus on data science for example. Not bad. Can't name so so specific channels tho.
Thanks. Solid.
More like the LG more than a Gram.

Only 1 thing! LG should remove the right Numpad part of the keyboard like Dell did on their XPS 17.
What the hell is it even a windows laptop
Here first
