Proposal for Redevelopment of Central Vista and Parliament Building

INI was one of the four shortlisted bidders for the project for Redevelopment of Parliament Building, Common Central Secretariat and Central Vista. The design proposed realizing the centrality of the parliament building, by relocation on the vista, activating the public realm on the central vista through complete pedestrianization of the plan and bringing in an interface between ministries and citizens through active experience centers of each ministry. The new proposed Parliament building is designed such that it frames the Rashtrapati Bhavan to enhance its view, while also catering to the demands of parliamentary functioning and security. The plan integrates sustainable strategies in the building and the master plan level.

Blocking of rastrapati Bhavan is from India gate is a bad concept.
The outer design is not good.
However a better planing is required

sir, architecture is unique for different places based on the different requirements, different wind and sun patterns, and countless number of thermal considerations which are different at different places....so we (as citizens)
