If it makes you feel any better, on a cool but nice and sunny Saturday the 9th November I rode over to the Sandpipers cafe at Arnside for the breakfast sausage buttie, on your and your technical directors recommendations, I was slightly late, but they still did me one and the best Mocha I've ever had, so just wanted to say thanks very much for the recommendation, well worth the cycle over, much appreciated, keep up the excellent vid's, Richard
I had to replace the tyre, I pulled 3 more bits of glass out of it when I had a proper look at home. Looks like I rode over a patch of swept up glass on the prom.
Next time I want you wearing a "!#@% Happens" T-shirt. Well done despite the bumps in the road. Also I love the brevity of the clothing review, they should all be that way. Are you being sponsored by Gortex? 😉
These are roads that I used to ride back in the mid 1980’s with Cleveleys RC. I’ve seen the Ron Hill running jacket which some cyclists use as it has a hood. If only I could find one.
I'm open to new tech if I can make it work. I get plenty of punctures commuting on cycle lanes, snickets and cut-throughs. Never had 3 on the bounce though!
But generally not from the rain more from sweat because the gortex cannot breath fast enough if a fabric is wet on the outside how can it breathe enough

Pleased to be of service, thanks 👍
Still smiling after rain, 3 punctures and dirty hands! Amazing how good a coffee and a bit of cake can be to restore the fun! 👍👏
Lytham Hall is fab. Looks like we might be getting wet again this weekend 🙃
@Cyclingpsyman - possibly looking at snow next week too! 😏
@karensienkiewicz1538 boo 👎
Well done coping with the rain an punctures..thanks for posting.
Thanks John, i coped up to a point. When you've had enough, you've had enough..🤣
@Cyclingpsyman I always carry afew latex gloves in my spare empty water bottle, just in case I have too get hands muddy an wet..
Good tip 👍
Best laid plans my friend…the joys of Winter riding. But we still keep coming back for more don’t we. Stay safe 👍🏻
My mum keeps telling me I need to have my head read. Stay safe yourself 👍
Rain and three punctures!
I’d have chucked my bike in the sea!
Nice video
All the best to you
I did chuck in the towel to be fair 🤣
A well earnt coffee. Kudos for braving those conditions. Wonder what would cause 3 flats in a row, maybe broken glass on the board walk.

New sub ! Good to see you toughing it out and I feel guilty now for peeping through the curtains all day 🚴♂️👌🎥
Thanks for the sub! I have to get up and out pretty sharpish, before common sense has a chance to kick in🤣
@ Yes your right and now recently retired every day is a Saturday so there’s no excuse except for a bit of spinning for pike 🚴♂️🎣
Best wishes with the retirement 👌
@ cheers may friend
Had more punctures over time on that ‘middle walk’ than anywhere else. People love throwing glass bottles over the top onto that part 🙄
That explains it!
you should see the recent Cumbrian fog :-)
I've seen enough fog, thanks 🤣

I need that t-shirt 🤣. Oh, to be sponsored by Gore-tex....fab jacket, but not waterproof.
good for you to get out there though
Thanks 😊

I know some running lads who use the Ron Hill Mercurial. Gore tex with a hood.
would you now consider using tubeless? I dont have that but you see a lot saying how good they are

I have been tubeless for two and a half years and up to now all good
Food for thought, thanks
Get some anti puncture tyres. They may be heavier but they are more convenient in winter, than blue and wet hands.
A good suggestion, thanks.
If you ride with it wide open your bound to get wet
You make a good point. But you get wet regardless.

Agree 100%. Comfort level on a bike is different for us all, this jacket goes on every ride with me with me which says it all.
