Thank you for reminding me to try old techniques and make them new again. I haven’t done this in a decade and I don’t know why. I will be getting my stencils inky very soon.
That paper would make super pretty die cut florals too! Thanks for the idea
What a great technique! Love those that use our existing supplies in a new way. 💜
Such a simple but stunning piece ❤ Thanks for sharing CZ!
This turned out to be lovely! I really like the floating sentiment. What a brilliant idea!!!
Love the card, love the process! So quick and easy!
Beautiful card! You showed a new to me technique, can't wait to try it out this weekend.
Love the card and the technique for the background.
So much fun! I love this idea. Cathy, you always make me smile!!
What a nice AND easy note card. I always leave the inside blank but I'd definitely use this on the front. There are many people that work hard and never get noticed so this is perfect for them.
Ok. When you started out smooshing, I thought 😳😳 But it turned out so pretty!! 🩷🩷
great idea for stenciling smooshing. I was bored, so watched your unboxing videos, finally realized I should do the same with my kits and make cards from them instead of putting them on the shelf. I'll be watching more of your unboxing videos tonight, thanks a bunch.
Love the background idea.
This is very different isn’t it. ? I like it. You always come up with something new don’t you? I love it!
Love the card. Great idea. Thank you for sharing .
I love the way this card turned out, and I love the colors! I usually put the ink directly on my stencil, spray it, and then stamp with it. I'll have to try it your way! 😊
Love this idea!! Thanks for sharing!!❤
At first I thought, this is a crazy idea!! But when you finished it, I really liked the end result. Can't wait to try it 😊❤
And it'll look different every time you do it!
I didn’t think that I would love the card because I don’t like to get messy, but…I love it❤️. Thank you for the tip of putting the word die cuts on the back also. Sheer genius! I have to tell you how much I love the messages on the stamp set. They are perfect for so many occasions. It is a favorite!
Cathy, thanks for the cool technique. Your card looks great.
Thanks so much!
Love the background and the colors you chose. Beautiful!!!
I love this Cathy. I can't wait to try it.
I love the unique backgrounds that result from stencil stamping... I've done it a couple of times, but I want to try with some of the new stencils in my stash! Thanks for sharing this fun video. Lots of great tips, as always!
Really cute fun card
I love it when you get artsy. Great card make. Thank you for sharing. Look forward to your next card sesh 👉
That is so cool, and super pretty! I love those colors together!
Just beautiful. Great messy technique and love your colors… great arches and way to glue your sentiment on vellum. Thanks Cathy 💜💙💜
Thank you so much!
Awesome technique Cathy! Love it! 💜 The pattern it created looks like there are little flowers in the pattern. 😃 Thank you for this inspiration. 💕
What a quick and cool way to make a background!
Hi, Cathy! Thank you for sharing. Such a cool way to make a unique background. Using the piece of acetate to help transfer the ink is a great idea! 😊
I love, love, love the idea of using the words on the back side of the vellum to raise it up! Im going to use that idea for future projects! What a great idea! You "ROCK"!
I learned that tip from one of my TH-cam viewers!
Neat. I love this idea because iet's colorful but not too messy. Thanks CZ
Beautiful card and technique Cathy xx
Very cute card
This looks like a good technique for a recovering crafting control freak (me)! 🌞
You’re not alone! Same here!
VERY Sweet Card! Great Job Cathy ...
Beautiful card! Love that you did the inside message in one of the colors from your background, ties it all together so nicely.❤
Thank you so much!
Beautiful, Cathy!🫶🏻
Cool idea
Beautiful colors! I bet you could do this technique with sprays and maybe pastes, too!
This is a great reminder to go back to tried and true techniques!
Have you stopped doing the kit unboxing videos. I haven't seen one for the July kit!
I LOVE your idea to have the word popping up the vellum from the back. That is so brilliant! Great card, and wonderful colors!
Someone gave me that tip here in comments a few years back! I love it too!
I thought that was a brilliant idea, as well!
Love the background you made. Very pretty!
Cool idea. I love the color combo.
Thank you!
Love these shades Cathy ❤
Awesome idea, I think I’ll try this at the weekend and I’ve made a note of your tip with adding an extra diecut to the back of a vellum shadow 😮 thank you. ❤
Lynn Le Bel Love the colours Cathy! Love the technique!!
Sweet Cathy. Looks great
Card turned out very nice! TFS. Also what a great stamp set! I’m taking a spending break right now, but I must put it on my list of sets to buy in the future!
I have some stencils I don’t really like, but I think they would be great for this! Thank you for the ideas! Nice card!
Love this simple and fun technique Cathy, it turned out so pretty ✨🤗✨
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks beautful and fun to do . Thank you for sharing.
What a cool idea! Mrs. Ed
I love all your videos. Thank you for sharing
Great idea with great results.
Great card. Thank you.
Fabulous technique….I’m in awww, about putting the die behind the vellum as well!! Why didn’t I ever think of that? Thank you for sharing!!!❤😊
I learned it from one of my viewers, and it was a life changer for die cuts on vellum!
Beautiful!
How fun and such a great card! I always love your cards!
Btw, I finally figured out what the music was that used to be at the beginning of your lives which I loved so much, I’d keep rewinding over and over so I could listen to it while driving. 🎵😊 - Quiet Wind. Now it’s in my Spotify and I listen to it any time I need a little pick-me-up. Something so enjoyable for me about that music! And I always think of you and ‘see’ you in my mind - makes me smile. Yours are some of my favorite videos to watch on a regular basis. They’re very calming somehow.
WOW, Cathy! I love the stenciled background.... but MIND BLOWN on the tip for mirroring the die cut on the back to add the glue so you don't see it and can have that floating look! I'll be using my vellum a LOT more now with tip, so thank you for a double idea card day! :)
Very pretty!
This turned out so pretty, and adding layer of word die on the back of the vellum is genius ❤️❤️❤️
Great idea!
Great card.
That is so cute 🤗👏👏
It’s so interesting to me that when you do this, I absolutely love it!
If I were to even attempt it, I would be so overwhelmed with the mess that I wouldn’t even know what to do!
Such a dichotomy!
I’m sure it’s mostly from my neurological disease..
But it’s still hard for me to understand why I love it when other people do it, and can’t manage to do things like this myself!
it's not usually something i would try!
@@czdesign I absolutely Love It when You do things like this, though! I’d never even thought about stamping with a stencil! It’s a great idea, and I’m hoping to work up to it! I’ve done a little bit of ink smooshing. That was difficult for me..Trying to break out of my little box! Wish I could share a picture of the card on here! It was partially CASED…
I Think you shared the idea of using acetate to ink smoosh? That really helped me! I felt much more in control, and I wanted certain colors in certain places…The background stamp was a Vintage Winnie the Pooh map stamp(Unity), and I wanted blue in a certain place for the water! I’m also doing some smooshing down Oxides and painting with them on alcohol ink paper…CASED Jennifer McGuire on that one..and some more ink smooshing with the leftover ink! I’m getting better with the mess, just not much better! I don’t have a glass board yet, and I think when I can afford one, that’ll help too!
I’ll be using your link when I finally buy my Glassboard Studios board! Hope you’re having a great day, Cathy!
Thank you so very much for everything that you do for us!🫶🏻🤗
This looks really cool and it looks like it is floating on top of flowers. Great, new technique for me. Thank you for sharing your creative mind!
I read the title a little too quickly and was expecting “pencil stamping,” which seemed reasonable since your background had little circles. I suspect what you actually did worked better! Pretty card.
It's worth trying. I'm afraid all i would make is a mess.
Great technique, Cathy. Would you get sharper image if you dried after each application? Will have to try this. Thanks.
Probably yes!
I love this card, but I don't have any stencils. 😢. Mrs. Ed
Maybe it's a sign! : )
"POTCH" is that a technical term? LOL
My daughter invented that word when she was five! lol
Love the card! Going to go my craft to make one card right now! Hope it turns out as nice as yours.
Very pretty!
