Reverse the awful tesla-inspired interior trends, get rid of the awful touch screen switches on the steering wheel and the ridiculous door handles, and it would be perfect.
This! The previous gen had beautiful integrated screens and physical buttons too. I don't know why is everybody following Tesla, while their interiors are super ugly and impractical IMO.
And it will stop you driving into the car in front while you are taking 10 seconds to flick through the options and do something simple like switch on the demister. Just looks cheap with shiny black plastic.
The new design of the estate is just so clean, precise and elegant. Looks terrific from all angles, particularly the 3/4 view from the rear. Unfortunately, some dislikes such as the black gloss (plastic?) grill surround is cheap and awful, and the instrument cluster needs to be a binacle not as a tablet as this looks weak and out of keeping with rest of quality fitout.
I got the A250e few months ago and honestly I love it so much I can't recommend PHEV enough. Really feels like having the best of both worlds, and you can easily control if you want ICE, electric or both. I don't have much experience with other mercedes models but I can see them bringing it to perfection.

I think the tail light is very cripple.. 🤪 the middle field (above the number plate) is only red paint, on the right cars there is also a light there.. here you only get a FAKE 😟 (I understand the three-pointed star concept, but there is a lot of empty space inside the housing without any functions)
I like the 2023 interior much better. I’m wanting to see how it would look without the silly video on the passenger side. Wood is better than black glass.
I'm stuck choosing between the Volvo V60 and A6 Allroad (lower in dynamic mode). The other luxury wagons still available (RS6 & E63) in the US are both way over $100K.
Car looks beautiful. Just that huge display in front is no my taste. I like aluminum and wood parts more than this piano black plastic and glass. Mercedes must be very cautious about losing its premium feeling with excessive use of plastic and glass.

Interior - looks plush but way too much glass (Steering wheel looks so naff) and these screens are a cheap trick to save manufacturers money and provide inferior quality usability. There is no substitute for a quality physical button. I can use it without looking. Screens cause crashes. Wondering where Mercedes design team is headed? Can anyone see any kind of homogenous external style? I can't Just lights and tail pipes.

i went to the configurator and reproduced this exact same care your see there . 114.000 € without the big motor ... i love the look of the car but lets be honest buy it now for 114.000 or wait a year and pay half. the price is just absurd. its sad how they lost all sense of pricing. for 60-70 i would buy it right now. But depreciation of half the price within one year no thanks guys.
When the new E-class first came out, I wasn't very convinced by the design. But now, looking at the estate version, I'm 100% with this car.
A wagon is an acquired taste. This looks great inside and out - but I can't see myself in a wagon of any type.
