Completely unrelated to this video, I had an epiphany upon seeing your channel name because when we were in Taipei last month, my mom ABSOLUTELY loved the sweet potatoes in 7-11. Like she always eats sweet potatoes here at home but she LOVED & called the sweet potatoes there as the best. I bet that it’s a lot better in the local markets there actually. Well, on a side note, the food I loved the most there were those grilled sausages sold on the night markets?? Those were amazing!!!

I totally know what you're talking about!! When I'm on a diet, I always have sweet potatoes from 7-11. And never get tired of eating it🤩 They are sooooo good👍🏻👍🏻

The culture shock of having to carry around cash versus in america using mainly credit cards is so real! It was a real struggle. But also, Ashley, where did you go to get your book cut like that? I didnt know that was a thing!

Did you guys study traditional Chinese characters before and did you have trouble reading those signs in Taiwan?

I used simplified character when I first started learning Chinese. And before coming to Taiwan, I slowly memorized traditional characters. Because there are rules, I didn't have much trouble. You just need time to get used to it!!

What is the nightlife like in Taiwan? Is there a big culture around going out to parties/bars/clubbing?

There are many many clubs and bars near the Taipei 101, which is located in Xinyi area. Parties are quite often held there!!!
