  • In this compelling episode, political analyst Sami Hamdi dives into how the genocide in Gaza affects international politics and elections, influencing perceptions across both Muslim and non-Muslim nations. Sami reflects on his personal journey, sharing experiences of humiliation that shaped his perspective and taught him that real change happens gradually, not overnight. He challenges the belief of a ‘weak Ummah’, arguing that anti-Islamic rhetoric reveals deeper fears about Islam’s growing impact. Join us for an insightful discussion on Gaza’s global influence, the strength of the Muslim community, and the slow but steady process of personal and political transformation.

Thank you Kindred Stories..this is the best episode for me.
After listening to Sami, sambil potong bawang nak masak, it just wake me up.
My friends and I ran an NGO for children here in Alor Setar. We provided tuition for the less fortunatw children especially for Form 4 students (to prepare them for SPM and also kelas membaca.
Despite so many issues, the program pull through satisfactory. There were classes every week.
However, it s all come to halt after Covid plus funds were shrinking as it was directed towards covid necessities like infant milk and diapers and foodbox.
It s been tiring because it the team only work on paper. We managed to mobilize some volunteers but they didnt last.
In this podcast, when Sami said, "We are judged by we do, not by what we achieve", it s a wake up call for me.
The program start from zero. And it just need a spark to rise again.
Please pray for our tiny NGO to push forward our #klassofhope (spm and kelas membaca). Amin. InsyaAllah.

wow. crying so much after this one. we care too much about achieving in our lifetime but never realized that the Prophet Muhammad Never saw the results of his labour in his lifetime. That was liberating. We should focus on the doing and not worrying the result. the ummah will keep going and insyaallah only good things will spread all over the world.

Alot of muslims have been brainwashed (through their parents and society at large) into thinking that the best life is the western life, the most sophisticated life. Do they not realise that the best way is Muhammad's way, the only one recognized by God? From waking up to going to sleep, to earning and governing, theres a Muhammad way to doing everything. Allah is only pleased with the way of Muhammad. Whoever follows every other way other than Muhammad has seriously gone astray.

I cried when u told us about response from a young boy what would you ask Nabi Muhammad S.A.W when you see him in Jannah 😭. Um asking myself also the same question. And yes i also don't have any questions for him but to thanks Nabi Muhammad S.A.W for not giving up until you completed delivering Islam as Allah S.W.T want it to.
For the speaker's ;sami... You have wake some of us or many of us that do not fill hopeless as we can do anything for ummah especially to help our brothers and sisters at Gaza... Do not think about the outcome because that's Allah S.W.T to decide. But do it want ever we can do for the sake of Allah. I will ask all my friends to watch this episodes. This is really important and inspiring... For us to keep on moving. It's the ummah who can change something (atas keizinan Allah) ... Not the rules or any government or leaders. We can change.. The ummah need to change.

He’s right we can’t control the outcome but what’s important is we try to do what is right. And may Allah swt accept all our good deeds. I hope kindred stories will have another episode discussing about what he said. Byk benda nk unpack 😅. Especially when he pointed out about the relation between iman and struggle. The palestinians have that level of iman bcos of their struggles. Imagine being able to say alhamdulillah after 10 members of your family being killed/bombed. Kat malaysia ni I noticed benda baik je ckp alhamdulillah. For them everything good or bad is alhamdulillah. That is such an eye opening thing for me personally. Hope to get that level of iman one day insyallah - for all of us. Aminn.

Sami Hamdi was in Malaysia for Ummatics in July 2024. I think it's normal for podcasts to be prerecorded. And also there is less Sami content being uploaded on YT too lately. Maybe he's being shadowbanned ?
I met Br Sami and MasyaAllah,he is amazing and I hope he comes to Malaysia again !

@@hawaboutnow man I really want to meet him 😢
I don’t think he’s shadowbanned, I’ve been following him and I’m assuming that he takes a quick break from time to time, and I think that he honestly should do that

One of the best if not the best Kindred Stories episode. I say let Sami talk for 3 hours if he wants

MasyaAllah. Very moving & really passionate conversation about a perspective that we might not have unlocked before, which was hidden inside each and every one of us. It’s time to awaken the giant within us 🔥
