- In this video I am unveiling all the work my Dad and I have been doing to the Chieftain Dark Horse over the past two weeks. We installed a Saddlemen seat, Roadmaster OEM windshield, Indian Trunk, Trunk Audio, Highway Pegs, Inspection sticker holder, LED headlamp and driving lights, and the 2020 Challenger LED war bonnet on the fender! The trunk, war bonnet, and windshield came from Indian, but everything else I will link to right here in case you want to put it on your bike!

I'm 6'3" and very happy with the stock Roadmaster windshield too. Just got home from a 1000 mile weekend and the shield is perfect for me at 70ish on the interstate.

I have the same headlights. They are a MUST if you do night time riding.
They are incredible at night! So much better than the stock halogens.
Any issues with the install? Mine will be in tomorrow for my 2018 Chieftain Dark Horse.

Nice mods. Trunk and audio are my next mods. I went with the traditional front fender and headdress, no caliper covers. Either way looks great! Thanks for sharing.

To tell you the truth, when I want even better scenery and nicer roads, I come over to nh. Up around whitefield and north of mt. Washington up to the border. Best riding in new england.

I really like what you have done. Love the Chieftain but am going to get the Challenger-I like it just a little bit more. It will be my 4th bike and second Indian. Have no interest in going back to the other manufacturer. Nice video, thank you for some great ideas!

When are you reviewing the led head lights
Yo when are you going to post the video of the headlight and running light install and also maybe some before and after video of what they look like at night. Also how do you're those lights. Do you think they are as good as or better than eagle lights?
Thought I'd have time when I quit my job and started my own business. Instead I've been working 6 days a week sunrise to sunset. I will get to the video as soon as I can. I just don't know when...
@@MOTOBLADE yeah contrary to what most people think you actually work more when you are running your own business. I get it! How are the lights compared to the halogens that come on the bike.
@@bryanmoore8506 they are superior to the halogens that come with the bike. Especially with the led running lights on. Lights up the road like a runway. Goes nicely with the led turn signals and led war bonnet on the fender too.

Hey just curious tried looking through your videos and can’t seem to find the install of those lights
I don’t have an install on the lights. I may have had corrupted video files or something that prevented me from making that video. It was a couple years ago now. But since there’s interest, I will go back and look and see if I have enough usable footage to make a video with a good explanation for you guys.

Yeah, it's attached to same wiring harness as the headlamp, just comes off the side a bit. I have a video filmed of the whole install. Just been months since I've had time to edit. Started my own business. The concept of "free time" for video work is a thing of the past 😂

Can you tell me how it's decided if the saddlebags get the two separate chrome hinges (Springfield style) rather than the one long continuous style hinge on the majority of models, please?
How do you like the challenger war bonnet, was the wiring already to the headlight?
Challenger war bonnet is great! Looks super good on the bike, and gives the extra visibility at night with the light. Yes, the plug is already on the headlamp wiring, just plug and go.
So I guess these mods ended the Challenger purchase , and doesn’t the rear cylinder head get warm when at running temperature
The mods did end the Challenger purchase - For now :) ... As far as the cylinder head is concerned, I have the oil cooler installed and I have never noticed any excess heat from the engine. My Thunderstroke is the best, coolest running air cooled v-twin I have ridden. I would like to try the 116's with the riding modes, but I am perfectly happy with mine.
You have a great set up now but i know when the itch to change bikes hits you can’t help it that’s how I ended up with a 2019 H-D CVO Street Glide it only had 2800 miles on the clock, it’s a great ride

With respect to the lighting, sometimes you get what you pay for. You can’t review lights just by how they look in the day in a bike. Hope they last you a long time, but usually cheap,stuff just doesn’t last as long.
That was my fear. However, they've performed incredibly well over the past 6 months now. I've used them a lot at night driving home from the airport and they are much brighter and nicer than stock. I think they were a good investment, but you're right, time will tell if they hold up.

What size is the windshield? Love that size
They don't "offer" it on their website. It's the Indian roadmaster windshield. Supposed to be exclusive to that model, so to order it, go to their parts section, select the roadmaster with the same model year, and find the part number and order that way. Round about any to do it, but they don't just sell it as an accessory (which is stupid, I think a lot of people would like to buy it).

I know it's in km/h. I meant I would come up there and do 100 mph in the flats of quebec. That way a state trooper can't come after me for doing 100mph and posting the video because I did it in the US (unlikely, but it does happen). I don't like the new Roadmaster Dark Horse - that new batwing fairing is too much of a Harley street glide rip-off (just my opinion, I know a lot of people like the new look). I like the more traditional rounded fairing look of the Indian touring lineup. Although, I wouldn't be opposed to that new Challenger. That's a hot lookin' bike. Thanks for watching!
