I liked how the conflux stages had varying degrees of difficulty. Would be interesting if this stage had an easier setting that had a lower drop rate, but I doubt that's what the developers would go for. Another poor design I felt was the lack of exchange. Had to rely entirely on luck to get max level card. This was more stressful than exciting, always wondering if I'd get enough before an update removed my chance. Was not a big fan of this event
Yes, it is. Sadly it‘s common in japanese Gacha Games to pull shit like this. The solution to those stages, events or what not are always the shiny new units they want you to whale on. Compare this design to all EleEX stages by phanta. Those are fun and rewarding til this day and not locked behind whale units.
@@eternalshrinemaiden1674 it’s glaringly obvious when stage design is tailored towards new units. Star EX is a little more flexible because while Alterisa is very tanky, she has barriers all the way to full break instead of just brute forcing through enemies with no barriers.
It’s not even the fact that they have many resistances or annoying locks is why I can’t clear this stage, it’s the massive yin attack down is what makes it difficult for me to clear with many of my best water friends. It’s still questionable stage design doing a very heavily Yang attacker focused stage and tailors towards having Summer Yukari’s utility.
I never really liked how the character EX really force you to whale if you want to complete them, but I never knew that Reimu EX's stage was that terrible in the sense that you really need C3 Yukari. The fact that all the stages also give limited story cards that are pretty much needed to win harder content is also frustrating.
Even if you do end up getting beach yukari (who you can’t even spark) You’d have yo spend a ton of god crystals to have enough fortune dust to MLB, or buy those 100 dollar packs for the epic paper dolls. I got beach Yukari and I still can’t do this stage since I have no one for the final gauge
Apparently you can just use B3 myon instead of beachkari, I do not guarantee that it's better as I didn't mlb my B3 myon yet(:sob:) but it sure can deal a plenty of breaks in this stage, though it's not useful after the 2nd guage so keep in mind you need some strong units in the back Edit: I didn't fully watch the vid the moment I wrote this, so I didn't know she was already mentioned here, but still a reminder
i feel weird for being one of the 3 players who enjoyed the stage despite that i do recognize that it has many issues. People love to say that vs cq is "cringe" or "bad game design" but IMO they are just not handled well, the idea behind the content is good, but the fact that its whole purpose is to sell a character kills the stage since thats why they add atk down and bullet type res.
Even if I can’t clear it, I do understand their idea foundation for these new challenge battles and its pretty good. However, It’s just like you said. The execution just to show off the strengths of a character falls a little short.
i enjoyed making the comp, its just that its kinda dumb how you need very specific stuff to clear the last gauge, and the dmg reqs have increased by alot
@@aajohans yeah i gotta agree with that tho i have a little bit of hope in future stages so long they never release lock removal characters again, because balancing a stage around a broken mechanic could only go wrong
@@aajohans idk maybe adding liquid res on every single one of them and making the locks avoidable so that removal becomes optional rather than a must have i was talking about that with a friend, if weren't for 8-12p yukari destroying the stage it would technically be balanced because 5p yukari comps are almost as expensive as no yukari comps, her nuking is what really makes the difference, so if future stages can't be nuked by her and doesn't require lock removal then they should be fine

It’s so hard to beat this without an epic friend or ufes
So true. Though I would argue about star ex being even beatable without the right units.

Can we Farm Water EX with Summer Yukari?
Easily I'd think.
she can solo with a p-link to remove her skll lock
