  • In this video I am going to do a Review of an Entry Level OBD II Scanner by Autel that is capable of providing Engine Codes, live data, live graphs but also ABS and SRR / Airbag Fault codes. If this Scanner can do what it claims, I believe this is the best scanner money can buy for someone that is looking to buy an entry level scanner. But we shall see....

    Oh dude... This is the vid I had been waiting for. I getting one right right now. For the price it gives me more than all the code readers out there. One more sold! Thank you very much!

      Np, usually the ones that claim they can scan ABS/SRS fail on half of the cars. But I think this one can scan a good 80-90% of the cars out there.

    Great video and review. Autel makes decent scanners for the price. Harbor freight tools scanners are all made by Autel. I have one that looks similar to this one. I think it was under 100.00 on sale. Paid for itself the first time I had an emissions code on my Mazda. Pointed me right to the issue, a solenoid valve.

    great review. I purchased a Autel AL319 awhile back and it works good for a basic entry level scanner. I really like the features of this 619 think I will be looking picking 1 up soon. Keep up the great videos very well presented and easy to follow.

    It is possible to buy a cable extension on ebay and use it in the next village.The Maxidas is a top spec model but for the diyer maybe targeting the make and model you own will get the specs at a big discount.I was thinking of the Fusion android app where you can purchase individual add -ons reasonable.There again, I stand to be corrected/?.Great video and well executed.

    I have a ThinkOBD 100 scanner but am disappointed in that after getting all the I/M readiness showing OK and passed smog I got a fast idle pending...no big deal. I went in an cleared the code. Then went to check my I/M readiness and found that all but three readiness indicators had gone back to INC. Why would a scanner tool do that? Glad I did not do any clearing of fault codes before getting it smogged. The drive cycle is a pain in the but and now have to be done again if needed to pass smog. Why is this happening? I happened on two cars. Ford Expedition and Chevy Express

  • @MarkSegree
    @MarkSegree 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    its a decent scanner but its only pulling the standard obd2 codes and data. much of which you can find in a $20cad. scanner. it gives the option of manufacturer specific only for the abs and srs which one has to wonder if it justifies paying an extra 80dollars. great video though as usual, definately a pass for my needs.

    I got a Torque app for Android on Google for $5 and a Bluetooth adapter on eBay for $5 and does a great job but doesn't do ABS. but does have live data and graphs and connected to the internet for troubleshooting.

      Betatester go to Google play store and search for Torque in the app section. there's a free and a paid version and download on an Android phone. Then go to ebay, Amazon or GearBest.com and look for a Bluetooth obd2 adapter from $5-$10.

    • @myRatchets

    • @blueovalOdell
      @blueovalOdell 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Manuel Salvatierra yes. I use it on a 02 Ford Focus and a 2014 escape. I can watch live data of o2's on both cars and fuel trims. If you have issues, probably needs updates but I've had no issue with mine right out of the box no updates and live data works

      Look at the video again near the beginning at 3 minutes and 45 seconds he points to the OBD11 (On Board Diagnostic link) connector where he will plug in the scan tool. Each car he tested had the same kind of connector just in a different place under the dash or in some Acura cars it is behind a rubber door next to the accessory power outlet in the center console! If your car is too old it may not have this connection point to the car's onboard computer. However many such tools are backward compatible to OBD1.
      The tool is available online at Amazon.com, you can find the price there.
      My knowledge has been gleaned from TH-cam Channels such as, W&W, ETCG, SMA, Chrisfix and many more! When three agree I agree, it is just safer that way.
