Love how both the Publix and Winn Dixie were very well stocked stores and many selections. Our Kroger has cut down in the amount of items and selection they have. The selection of canned vegetables and beans has really been made smaller. I guess it depends on what state you live in.
That WD is my WD! I shop there all the time. I basically buy sale items there. The beer batter fries are delicious! I do most of my shopping at Aldi and Dollar Tree! 😊 Enjoy the rest of your vacation! Love watching your videos! ❤😊
The coupons I would use when my children were little, I would take them to the grocery store, the children, give each 4 or 5 coupons and have them shop for the item on the coupon. I hope I was teaching them how to shop and coupon, of course I had boys…3 of them, did they really care about shopping, no! 😂 especially at the grocery store! My mother shopped at the Winn-Dixie back in the day….60’s, that was in Kentucky! Love your channel Meghan! No 🎤 today! 😢
Hi Megan. I live in NE florida. I no longer shop at winn Dixie. When aldi bought out our stores they removed the pharmacy. When I would pick up prescriptions I would shop around. The prices are high there and the sales items don’t really appeal to me
Hello! I would love for you to find a SHARP SHOPPER store i have seen in videos!! Too soon to plan next vaca😂! Trip looks like. Good time been watching your other channel as well.
Yep, I live about a mile from the Strawberry Festival Fairgrounds. If you like strawberries you’ll never get fresher than now. It’s peak season so time to stock up and enjoy!
Love me some grits!!!! Was born in Mississippi and brought up in New Orleans till I was 8,and my Dad went into the Army. Now living in Missouri, I miss Winn Dixie, and the different food items.
Zephyrhills water is very popular here because it comes from a very close location in Zephyrhills Florida. If you see a produce stand pickup some good hot off the heat boiled peanuts they are so good. Orlando grocery prices are going to be alot higher because of the tourist area.
I am also visiting Florida -Cocoa Beach area from western burbs of Chicago - and find food very high priced here. We have been Shopping ALDIs Walmart and Publix’s. Thanks for the tour!
Hi. Larry loves the crème horns. Bryan and I like the eclairs. $1.25 at Dollar Tree for pool noodles. SE Grocers is WD brand. Haven’t seen any WD’S switch to Aldi’s near me. Did you try boiled peanuts? Well, we shop at Winn Dixie and Publix for sales and B1G1 offers. Walmart for the rest. Found an Aldi’s but need our son to take us. Enjoy!
We have Velveeta Skillets in St Louis. I’m not fond of them but my sister and her husband LOVE them! We go to Scottsboro AL a lot and the grocery stores there (Foodland especially) are very high on eggs and milk. Mayfield 2% can run around $5-$6 even at Walmart.
Meghan, Orlando food stores are a bit more in price because of the tourists. There is also a very large Hasidic population who stay at certain Kosher hotels. Like you, they tend to stay for a few weeks to really explore all the children's places and beaches. Purim & Passover are right around the corner also. Blue Bell ice cream is phenomenal! The stores in Orlando have almost every flavor of ice cream available! The prices in Pasco county, where my husband and I live, are a lot better for milk and eggs. But we shop at Aldi first. We save so much that way! Enjoy FL!!! Nancy
lol, I grew up in the rural south and the closest grocery stores were IGA and Winn Dixie. This was many decades ago and the entire store would pretty much have fit in the produce section you called small. 😂
If you haven’t tried them, the original Late July tortilla chips are my favorite. I don’t like all the flavored ones but the original sea salt is the best of any tortilla chip brand I’ve tried.
You can tell your near “The World” because Winn Dixie’s outside of Disney area doesn’t have that much Kosher, nor all the summer merchandise. Yes, lots of ice cream/ frozen Yogurts & novelties.
I prefer Publix (for their BOGO deals, and no one can beat their Deli items). Also, WD's items never seem as fresh/good. I stopped shopping at our local store 25 years ago. I went in about 2 years ago to see if it had improved, sadly, it had not. I bought wings at the deli for a test, not good. Love your videos & sense of humor!! 😁
WD was only close store when I grew up. Even worked there for a summer and was not very clean. Publix opened up across the street and closed in a year. Had WD within walking distance to me now, nobody ever in the parking lot and they closed years ago for asian mart which is always busy.
I work at a Winn Dixie in Jacksonville and it’s usually cheaper to go to other stores. Sometimes there’s good deals with the bogos or marked down/clearance items, but for the most part, they’re overpriced. And there’s an Aldi about five minutes away from us so I doubt my location is going to switch. My store barely has any kosher items but has two aisles of Hispanic food because there’s a large population in my area. It really depends where you live what they focus on
@angelicarosado7637 -- It's tough to decide who's prices are higher, Publix or Winn-Dixie. I'm just glad they both have BOGOs. I mentioned this on one of Meghan's other videos. I needed milk, but just couldn't bring myself to get it at Publix or Winn-Dixie. Their prices for a half gallon of milk would get me a whole gallon at Aldi.
Greetings Megan I haven't even ⌚ the vlog yet wow I haven't been to Winn-Dixie in almost 39 years when I was living in South Carolina my grandma would go there all the time a blast from the past. Since u there is there a Piggly Wiggly down there as well?
Publix is considered higher than most grocery stores in Florida, but Winn Dixie is ridiculous. I used to shop there years ago when the prices were more reasonable, but not anymore. However their wing bar is excellent. Or at least it used to be if they still have it.
Our Winn Dixie closed about 5 years ago or so. I miss it so much. No one around here can beat their prices. The closest Aldi is 45 minutes away; not worth the drive!
🍆👋🍆Hey Megan, babaGanesh , not my spelling, is a tahini-eggplant dish. Not exactly sure how to make it. It’s an Egyptian dish. Some say it’s delicious. I’ve never eaten it. Have a great adventure in Florida. Jen. 👋🍆👋
My understanding is that Publix and Winn Dixie are very expensive. Never been to either. Nice to take the tour with you. Keep having fun. Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
They are not very expensive at all. Publix is the preferred of the two but it is based in central Florida so you can’t get better than that. Winn Dixie is usually cheaper but not as nice of a store.
Oh my God! That creepy chocolate milk powder is from Israel! They had a whole story about it children on the package! The original children from the 90s sue the food company, that replaysd by the creepy children 😂😂 And the Turkish coffee is amazing! You should try it!
@gsdesignstudio5883 - I noticed that too here in west central Florida -- about an hour west of where Meghan is. I think I saw $2.64 yesterday. Caught me off guard as well! Haven't bought eggs in a few weeks after buying a two dozen, so I haven't needed to shop for eggs. Hope that price I saw turns around quick!
Wow they changed the their company name brand which was Super Brands back in the 70s & 80s when I was going there now it's S.E. Grocers & those eggs "their prices are insane" Crazy Eddie. 😂😂😂😂😂😢
That is the cleanest Winn Dixie I have ever seen!! And I have never seen a Kosher section in any Winn Dixie I’ve ever been in. You definitely found a unicorn 😂
@@Thegrocerylady Some guy in the comments section of either yours or another TH-camr who visits stores and said that the Winn-Dixies wouldn't change, just a change in ownership. It DOES sound strange for a small store like Aldi to take ownership of a store you could fit three Aldis into.
Winn Dixie used to be the grocery store but it’s gotten so expensive
I grew up in Jacksonville, so I know the Winn Dixie grocery stores. Didn’t know Aldi was buying them out. Thanks, Meghan. Enjoy your VayCay.
Thank you 😊😊
Love how both the Publix and Winn Dixie were very well stocked stores and many selections. Our Kroger has cut down in the amount of items and selection they have. The selection of canned vegetables and beans has really been made smaller. I guess it depends on what state you live in.
Babaganoush is roasted eggplant tahini spread. Love it.
Your pronounciation of ferrero rocher has made my day!
Love watching your videos - even though I live in England and so dont have the same shops!
😂😂thanks for joining from England 🏴
That WD is my WD! I shop there all the time. I basically buy sale items there. The beer batter fries are delicious! I do most of my shopping at Aldi and Dollar Tree! 😊 Enjoy the rest of your vacation! Love watching your videos! ❤😊
How funny ! Well, I enjoyed exploring your stomping grounds 😊
We are a Blue Raspberry family too❣️❣️🫣❣️🫐🍓 They don't existe in nature but they do in my fridge and pantry 🎉❣️
That’s right 😅😅
Thanks, Meghan. That was an education. Winn Dixie is like Wallgreens in Florida. They are everywhere!
Glad it was helpful , Shawna 😁
Those sponch cookies are the bomb

I live in Tampa and would love a sharp shopper store here but, have not ever seen one.
I live. In Plant City 45 minutes from Orlando. We have a Winn Dixie. Plant City is the winter strawberry capital 🍓🍓🍓
That’s good to know 🍓🍓

Hi Meghan, the prices here in Canada are insane ,,barely affordable
I just love your channel. Have you ever considered doing other store videos like best buy or a dollar store?
You'd probably love baba ghanoush--it's made from roasted eggplant and tahini and eaten as a dip. Delicious!
Thanks for taking us with. I have heard of them but never been in one.
Thanks for coming along, Amy 😊😊
I am also visiting Florida -Cocoa Beach area from western burbs of Chicago - and find food very high priced here. We have been Shopping ALDIs Walmart and Publix’s. Thanks for the tour!
Boiled peanuts are normally bought hot from someone on the side of the road. Southern tradition 😊

When I was in FL there was a winn Dixie near me but I didn't go much because it's really expensive now I'm by a king Soopers it has really good sales
I haven't been in a Winn Dixie in years. There was one were live at but closed
Tillamook ice cream is the best I've ever had. :) I highly recommend it.
Meghan, Orlando food stores are a bit more in price because of the tourists.

We have the beer bettered fries all the time really delicious! Try them!

Grew up in NC so we had winn Dixie's everywhere. Haven't seen one in 20 years though
We only have Publix and Winn Dixie and yeah very expensive. Boiled peanuts are yummy but fresh not canned 😊.
I'm going say it Florida has some great brands, wish CA had this!
You can tell your near “The World” because Winn Dixie’s outside of Disney area doesn’t have that much Kosher, nor all the summer merchandise. Yes, lots of ice cream/ frozen Yogurts & novelties.

When Aldi Brought Winn Dixie In My FL Area They Only Took Out The Pharmacy But We Still Have A Winn Dixie Store
We have them on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Honestly I never shop there, I go to Aldi instead. Winn Dixie is really expensive.

Baba ga noosh. 😆 Learned it on the Food Network.
Baba ghanoush,, roasted eggplant with tahini dip 👍🤗
That’s quite an impressive kosher section for Winn-Dixie. Not a common thing must be the surrounding area that you’re shopping in.
I paid $8.17 at Walmart for 36 eggs! Back to Aldi’s I go! 😊
There are some Winn-Dixies which are kosher and have a large selection of items.
The closest one to me is in Aventura.
Publix is considered higher than most grocery stores in Florida, but Winn Dixie is ridiculous. I used to shop there years ago when the prices were more reasonable, but not anymore. However their wing bar is excellent. Or at least it used to be if they still have it.

Publix is so nice that the experience itself is worth the price. No so, Winn Dixie.
Always great to have you come along, Linda 😊😊

Jews suing!? You must be joking....
Eggs have gone back up at my Aldi here in the Mid-Atlantic. I was really surprised and caught off guard.😳

Gas and eggs seem to be quite unpredictable these days 😅
Those Sponch marshmallow and jam cookies were everywhere when we were kids in the 60s, They are very nostalgic to me. OOPS, just dated myself😂
😅😅
👋♥️🥚♥️👋Megan, sadly eggs are outrageous just about everywhere due to some disease. Seems this is happening more often lately. 👋♥️🥚♥️👋
Load up on Blue Bell!!
Never been to one lol ny girl
Solid bunny 😂
Winn-Dixie is found in:
1. Louisiana
2. Mississippi
3. Alabama
4. Florida
5. Georgia
Aldi bought all Winn Dixie stores and Aldi better not screw it up!!!!!!!!
(Aldi and Trader Joe's are owned by family members too)
Saw tootsie roll eggs at dollar tree looks like same bag
That's the only store I go to.
Wow they changed the their company name brand which was Super Brands back in the 70s & 80s when I was going there now it's S.E. Grocers & those eggs "their prices are insane" Crazy Eddie. 😂😂😂😂😂😢
❤🎉
Wow, crazy expensive there. We shop at Walmart & Target, period.
I never shop at WD. I find it too expensive. Live Aldi, but prefer Publix for produce.
I don't live far from Orlando..in plant city..we have a bigger and nicer one..
That's the one I shop at (occasionally), Kimmy!
There are several of you from plant city here 😁😁
I know i seen that..we have the strawberry festival next week..thats a treat here in Plant City.❤@Thegrocerylady
Winn Dixie prices are sooo high. If the offer was buy one get two free , the price would be in line with Kroger on a regular basis.
That is the cleanest Winn Dixie I have ever seen!! And I have never seen a Kosher section in any Winn Dixie I’ve ever been in. You definitely found a unicorn 😂
Perhaps your Winn Dixies don't like genocide.....that's a good thing!
Winn Dixie is going to be Aldi's? But they have more than four aisles.
Right?

babaganush is an oriental dish. It's like hummus, except it's baked eggplant paste. It's delicious)
yes baba ganoush arabic spread
I don’t like Winn Dixie. I hope the one near me becomes an Aldi. I buy basics at Aldi and shop Publix for bogo offers and items Aldi doesn’t have.
The only thing I don't like about Winn Dixie, is their bakery..
Southeast Alabama Winn Dixie does not have ALL those Kosher sections. DONT BUY DRAKES BRAND-THEY ARE TERRIBLE. Little Debbie all the way.
