    i followed the process the first time with WD40 and the oil stains lifted, but spread out. I believe there was also some residual staining from the WD40. I then performed the process again this time without the WD40, only working in the baking soda then
    using Costco brand dish washing liquid. Happy to report the oil stains are completely gone & no damage to the coloring or texture of my medium grey chino pants. Definitely worked for me. Thank You!

    "get the baking soda and just sprinkle it on there." (dumps the whole box on it.)

    I bought a tommy hillfiger jeans for like 850 and i got stains on the back and front. I saw this and tried it. There is no signs of stains anymore. It was motor oil or some like that

    Just used this on my favorite hoodie after washing and drying a popcorn oil stain into it and it worked perfectly! I was pretty skeptical.
    I've been trying to figure out something to get crusty pit stains out of my white undershirts and I wonder if this might work.

    Will this work for oil stains that are dried in due to the dryer?

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes. The WD-40's job is to reconstitute the oil stain making it possible to be removed. So, give this process a try and let us know your result! Good luck!

      *Wali Khaled* ,
      Thank you for your compliment. Depending on the size of the oil stain, you may not need to scrub as much!
      We wanted to show the steps and the how-to in this video... so in reality, we could possibly have saved a few scrubs. 😊
      Take care!

    Do you know if this method could work on a really thick nylon alpha industries bomber jacket that has some oil stains on the back?

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should. Tough stains would just need additional applications. 😊

    Just tried to remove a penny sized olive oil stain from my new clothes using this method, I ended up with two large new stains, I feel the new stains are from the WD40 and not from the original oil.
    I did all the instructions like in the video, I even repeated the whole process twice and ended up with even larger stains this time around!
    Any idea what could've gone wrong and how to fix it?

    Will this work on a shirt that has the oil stain after it’s already been washed a bunch of times? Or only when you just get the oil on it ...

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      It should. I mean the steps are in order to reconstitute the oil releasing it during the process. It could be likely you'd need to do this multiple times since you've had your shirt in previous wash and dry cycles. 😊

    Hi, can this be used on any color clothing? I got a used motor oil stain on my Charcoal Gray shirt and medium gray sweat pants and want to save them and get the stain removed if possible. 😭

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It shouldn't be a problem as much as you'll need likely multiple applications.
      If you decide to use this method, just let me know the result.

    Hi does this also work on coloured clothes like red t shirt with oil stain on it? Will it fade the colour off of the shirt?

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It shouldn't discolor any piece of clothing since none of the ingredients encourage discoloration. You may need to run through this more than once for those stubborn stains. 😊

    How does this apply to using it on a sofa?

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question. I've only used this method for clothes.
      On cleaning the sofa, though, I suggest another method like carpet shapooer with sofa attachment.

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest, this method applies to typical clothing and not upholstery materials.

    • @BibbersandBinx
      @BibbersandBinx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike. Honestly, I have no clue! However, if it were me, I would try putting baking soda on the original stain and letting it sit for a few hours to see if it makes a difference. I've also heard that rubbing chalk on the stain and letting it sit might work. I wouldn't add water, just wipe chalk/ baking soda off with a towel. Hope this helps!?!?!
