These are some of the most common questions I get from new incoming EMT students. Inside this video, I break down how to make EMT school/EMT class much easier by preparing yourself. I breakdown what you should expect as a new EMT, what to study before you enter EMT class, and balancing school and life with new study habits.
I just want to say if your watching these videos you’re doing the right thing my course was hard to me and he helped me pass and pass my national the first try ... so if your here you should definitely stay. Thanks bro

I start emt school in September, my friend who’s a nurse recommended emt. You were definitely right about learning stuff ahead before the course actually begins.
I'm an Emergency Management major. My professors all say that if we want to be serious about Emergency management, to become an EMT. I should have a class starting up here in a few days, and I'm super excited.
Hi! I’m in the middle of my EMT program, and i just did my first ride along and got to experience how two actual emts work for a shift. Well, I’ve been having a really bad crisis about EMS because the emts i was with barely checked vitals (one or two, and never reassessed), ignored the patient entirely during the transport, didn’t give any supplemental o2 when the patients had difficulty breathing, and just overall couldn’t be bothered about the (elderly) patient’s level of confusion and refused to offer any comforting words. I feel sick after witnessing them gossip about patients in between calls, and i just want to know, is this actually common for EMS? Ive been considering working in an ER as an ERT instead because of it, the experience was just so terribly different from everything I’m being taught.
Hey Jayne, THANK YOU for sharing your story here. Moments and providers like this are actually one of the reasons that I started this channel, brand and Video Study Course. He’s right it’s not hard at all! You have to prepare! If you take anatomy and phiso you will have it easier ! (I went in after high school and was so lost haha! Looking back I wish I would look for resources on TH-cam like I do now for nursing school)

Got a question if anyone can help. And of course I realize that courses vary. I work full time and go to school part time. (Premed.) I’m looking to do an EMT course this fall. It’s a 4 month long, Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoon thing. My question is would there typically be any type of homework or any other sort of preparation I would need to do in my free evenings between the weekend classes. Don’t get me wrong I’m not afraid of some work, but I’m trying to determine if I should take a semester off of school this fall or if I could realistically take one class. I usually take 2 classes a semester. Thanks in advance for any input! 😄
Hey my friend, thanks for the message here and welcome to the channel! I like where your head is at I believe as a pre-med student you could take one "easy" additional college class while being in EMT class and get through okay especially considering it's 4 months long. Now, while I'm not sure of your goals but for sure it would be much easier and hyper-focusing on EMT for that one semester and having no distractions, I advice would be to take the semester off and hyper-focus on EMT class so you can get it down. Finally, if you want to make the class work much easier, I recommend preparing BEFORE you go into class so you have an awareness of some of the content, it's a lot of info in a short time. You can grab my prep course right here, it's lifetime access and will also help you not just for EMT but your entire medical journey. www.prepareforems.com Be Great! Evan, The Paramedic Coach
