- Damping the printing paper properly takes a bit of know how- here I demonstrate with Washi, Western paper and my favourite wallpapering brush.
My book 'Making Japanese Woodblock Prints' (Crowood Press) is available from booksellers if you'd like a back up guide to this film series. If you'd like to leave a small donation to help our film making, I have a fundraising page at GoFundMe gf.me/u/zd8bcq - บันเทิง
Thanks for the video Laura. I have the sound in stereo as it is also raining in my part of the UK as I watch this. Keep safe and stay well.
Very informative. The heavy rain adds something too!
Thanks Laura, very informative highlighting the different needs of different papers. Looking forward to the next one. The rain sounds wonderful!
The Fabriano Academia you use are the 200 gram Drawing paper, isn’t it? Not the watercolour or sketching paper?
I don’t know if there are various versions of this paper, but I just know it as Fabriano Academia 200g and it works well - If they describe it as for drawing I imagine it is still the same stuff.
