  • Bit of a geeky episode about preparing and managing a pack to damp your printing paper for Japanese woodblock. How long you can leave a damp pack, how to manage your prints in the pack, how to stop mould and a warning about ice cream...
My book 'Making Japanese Woodblock Prints' (Crowood Press) is available from booksellers if you'd like a back up guide to this film series. If you'd like to leave a small donation to help our film making, I have a fundraising page at GoFundMe gf.me/u/zd8bcq

Many thanks Laura, the video's are excellent. I attended a course back in January and bought your book recently. The freezer tip is a great idea.

This video was perfect for me. Mine had grown mold after 3 days of printing here in Arizona. So doing it all over again. Thank you

Great info and video, thanks Ben and Laura. Good to hear about being able to freeze mid-print stream and also how to let it dry and redamp. Being an Aussie I already know about Tea Tree oil for lots of different things but never thought about putting it in my water for damping mokuhanga papers. Ideas from Oz to UK and then return, magic! Thanks again.
